I like this pattern and your instructions. Just the right amount. Thanks for the reminder and placement suggestion for label. I always forget to put it on!!

I LOVE this tutorial! very clear instructions and beautiful finished product! i tried it out for myself with a fun UF themed fabric and it came out great thanks to your help! Thank you sooo much!
Excellent tutorial. Enjoyed following along with you and will make probably a few of these. 👍👍. Always appreciate your tutorials and IG stories. Keep them coming.

I have watched this a few times started out with a leather bag, didn't work, so trying again tonight with brown canvas, see if I can get it to work with canvas, the leather was too thick for the folds. So trying again. Thanks for posting and have a blessed week my friend. Dale
I’m using that same fabric and canvas as the inside for the duffel bag, the toiletries bag I want to make it a little firmer so maybe fleece and canvas for the inside
Ok, I made this! I used vinyl for the inside in one continuous piece. The part I couldn’t stitch on the machine when I put in the lining, I glued in place instead. I just gave it as a birthday present. It was perfect!
I love your professional construction ! You have a special talent for teaching .... I did wonder about measurements for a longer bag..Do you have a suggestion ? Thank-you
BeatlesFanSonia the supplies list and measurements info can be found on my website: www.sewmuchmoore.com/makeup-and-shaving-bag-tutorial/ I’m glad you liked the video 💝
Can you please give the exact measurements for the outer fabric pieces? I have the sewing PDF, is it one fat quarter cut in half? Sorry, a little new to sewing.
Be sure to read my article for additional info. This is linked in the description of the video. If you still have questions or confusion, please let me know. I want to help you!
hi Nicole, i love your shaving bag, have made a few! I have a question? Have you every made the exterior fabric measurements larger, ie: 15" x 19.5". Obviously I would have to enlarge the interior fabric too.Titch (Australia)
I’ve taken the same design and made it several different sizes. My pattern will only give you the instructions to make this specific size but feel confident in playing around with adjusting a size to suit your own needs.
That’s a very nice bag, turned out well. This is the first tutorial I’ve seen where the lining is sewn separately. Is there an advantage to doing it this way that I missed?
I’ve found there are a few types of preferences with bag making. Drop lining (this tutorial), turning right side out, and raw edge. It’s all a matter of preference. 💕
If you are referring to my little fabric basket - I think I just followed a tutorial to make mine. I don't think there is a video with the pattern - sorry! fabricmutt.blogspot.com/2016/02/the-pixie-basket-tutorial.html
I currently own multiple Juki‘s. The one I used to make this bag was my industrial Juki. Here is the link to learn more: www.sewmuchmoore.com/industrial-sewing-machine/
Sew Much Moore In Store I also didn’t see any seam allowances. I have the printed cutting measurements but there isn’t any seam allowances on that. I also didn’t see a reference to the seam allowances on your blog photos? Do I need to look elsewhere? Thanks so much. I’m at the part where you start to sew the bottom together and don’t want to mess up.
I absolutely LOVE this tutorial. I’m going to make this bag tonight. Can you tell me where you got your labels from. I would like to add them to my sewing projects 😊thanks.
I just found some on Amazon . 25 qty for $22.00. Is that a good price? There 1/2 wide. I just learned how to sew via utube 3 weeks ago. I love this bag and going to make it for my brother in-law for Christmas. Your tutorial was excellent! I just subscribed and turned on my notification bell 🛎 on.
Susan Kellogg get whatever labels you like. I’m not familiar with the ones you are referencing. Love hearing about your sewing beginnings. That’s awesome!
Thanks for your comment! You can find the measurements in the pattern. The pattern is listed in the description of the video. Here is the link also: www.sewmuchmoore.com/boxy-pouch-sewing-tutorial/
Evette Ogden that machine is an Industrial Juki DU1181N. I make allot of bags, so it’s great! You can learn more about this machine right here: www.sewmuchmoore.com/industrial-sewing-machine/
Excellent tutorial with clear instructions. Thank you!😊 Only comment is to maybe leave out the background music when you're doing the instructing. It's just a little distracting. 🤔
The seam allowances are not clear...the lining zipper edge is too big without folding over the 1/4", then fold over another 1/4"...other than that...a beautiful bag and video instruction!
Great tutorial but I was curious about how you tacked the lining down. I understand how you did it in the video but you added that you tack it down so it doesn’t shift. That was a step you mentioned but didn’t show. Thank you
rockin' Robin thanks for your question! To prevent the lining from shifting, I will flip the finished bag inside out and add a couple stitches to each corner, ensuring that each stitch goes thru the batting. Hope that helps!
Sew Much Moore In Store thank you! I wasn’t sure if it would show on the outer fabric but if I just catch just the lining and batting then I see how it could work. (I’m still learning)
@@janidemaree9704 I was thinking you could do an instant zippered pocket on one of the sides. Or even both sides. I don’t think you’re inner pocket would be obstructed by the box ends.
One of the easiest ways I’ve seen to sew this bag, thanks.
Enjoy!
I like this pattern and your instructions. Just the right amount. Thanks for the reminder and placement suggestion for label. I always forget to put it on!!
Very nice !!! Easy to follow !!

Glad you liked it!
Fantastic!!!!! A million thanks for this video!
Thank you for your kind words! Happy Sewing!
Thank you..loved it
Great bag! I've made it several times. I use duckbill scissors to trim the excess fabric by the zipper!
That’s brilliant 🤩
Making the bag but what is the seam allowance
This is wonderful. thank you
Perfect I’m actually making one with that material for a gift
I love the drop-in lining
Thank you for your kind comment! Much Appreciated!
Great tutorial
Thanks! I hope you found it helpful!

thanks for your comment! Have a great day!
Could you add the lining at the same time you are doing the outside bag instead of making separate then adding it in? Just wondering.
That is a different type of pattern. This is a drop in lining.
Very nice indeed!
I’m using that same fabric and canvas as the inside for the duffel bag, the toiletries bag I want to make it a little firmer so maybe fleece and canvas for the inside
If you want stability, the best thing to use is sew-in foam. Something like soft n stable
Ok, I made this! I used vinyl for the inside in one continuous piece. The part I couldn’t stitch on the machine when I put in the lining, I glued in place instead. I just gave it as a birthday present. It was perfect!
I used vinyl as well! very perfect for durability and easy to wipe down
great idea!
I love your professional construction ! You have a special talent for teaching .... I did wonder about measurements for a longer bag..Do you have a suggestion ? Thank-you
Linda Frazier I’m so glad you found this tutorial useful. For a longer sized bag, simply add a few inches to the existing measurements. Happy Sewing!
Love your video. I’ve tried to make a bag, but my quilting machine keeps breaking needles when I see over zippers. Any advice?
Try using a denim needle.
What is the inches on little cardboard for the corners?
That is really up to you, but all the sea summers are listed in the PDF pattern ❤️
Well done!! 👏Can't wait to try thanks!
Thank you for your kind comment! Much Appreciated!
Wowww!!! Hoy descubrí su canal y me pareció muy interesante! Y ese Necesser esta fabuloso !
Where are the dimensions? This bag is perfect size for what i want to do but what are the corner template demensions
There is a link in the description of this video that takes you to the pattern which is listed on my website

Janet McAdams Bailey yes! Exactly!
Thank you
Is there a pattern & instructions?
I have linked information on the pattern in the description.

Excellent tutorial with clear instructions. Thank you!😊 Only comment is to maybe leave out the background music when you're doing the instructing. It's just a little distracting. 🤔
Agreed, I had to lower the volume and use close caption.
what size are the pcs. you are using?
Susie Ciscon thanks for your question! The link to my free pattern is in the description of the video. Happy sewing!
So this bag is made from 2 fat quarters??
I would sew the lining with the main together the first pouch I did I sew the pouch first and put the zipper total disaster a bit what you did
Francoise Thepot that is certainly an option. Your seams would se exposed in the inside, so that is why I showed the drop lining. 💝
The seam allowances are not clear...the lining zipper edge is too big without folding over the 1/4", then fold over another 1/4"...other than that...a beautiful bag and video instruction!
Thanks for the feedback about seem allowances. I will need to go back and do an update on this pattern to make it more clear.

It needs pockets
Great idea! You should add some!
@@SewMuchMooreInStore I wish I could figure out how to do that I guess it would have to be a patch pocket.
@@janidemaree9704 I recommend doing an inside zipper. Check out my video on the diva wallet. I’ll show you how to insert a zipper on that video.
@@SewMuchMooreInStore That does not help me when I do box ends
@@janidemaree9704 I was thinking you could do an instant zippered pocket on one of the sides. Or even both sides. I don’t think you’re inner pocket would be obstructed by the box ends.
