    Well, there ya have it, I'm mentally weak. Now that wasn't so hard to admit, was it? I do have a question (and remember, it's coming from a mentally weak person): If the entire world is busy taking the high road and no one allows themselves to become attached to a particular situation, then what's to stop people from devolving into a "me first" state? A state in which we are rapidly approaching currently?

    • @DrChristianConte
      @DrChristianConte  4 місяці тому

      Remember, being mentally weak isn't a definitive state. A person who is physically weak does not have to declare him or herself physically weak forever, because that person can work on strength. The same is true with mental strength. Do your best to avoid all or nothing declarations, and instead, try to work on drawing on balance and accurate language as you speak (to others and yourself). None of us has the answers, and we are all in this life together. Sending you all my best and tons of peace!

      Honestly, I just love seeing the comments where people have the mental strength to call themselves out. Phenomenal. Please know that there are many who see a video like this and just get angry or attack the information or the person delivering it, so it genuinely is a sign of strength that you simply owned where you were (at the time you made the comment), and can work from there. Definitely sending you all my best and tons of peace!

    Oh my. If I had a tally of the people that have backed into things and said it was not their fault because what they backed into "shouldn't " have been there. Hundreds of people, with back up cameras on their vehicles. You can give them all the tools in your arsenal and they still Will to be disconnected. How do we get them to own themselves and stop abandoning themselves? They need to be the most interesting. In dog training I have to be more interesting than a distraction. This leads to interesting things 🤔 ✨️
    I see people distracting themselves with nonsense and maybe they are where they need to be. Dogs don't do nonsense. In dogs I trust.

      So this is a good example of your message potentially getting lost in the all capital letters. When we use all caps, it tends to communicate high emotion, whereas when we communicate without all caps, we have a bit better chance for others to hear what we want to say. Please know I am not bothered in any way by your use of all caps, I just thought it might be a good moment to highlight that point. I worked with someone who everyone believed was out of control angry all day, but she actually wasn't at all, she just liked typing in all caps. Eventually, she realized that if she didn't change how she sent emails, people would not likely hear what she had to say.... I hope this helps! Definitely sending you all my best and tons of peace!

    Great video
    How would you define mentally weak vs mentally strong?
    Edit: I mean weakness vs strength in a general sense

    • @BrandyinIndy

      Google “Thinking Errors”

    • @DrChristianConte
      @DrChristianConte  4 місяці тому +1

      Off the cuff, I might say that mental weakness is centered in reactivity and allowing the outside world to determine our inner world, whereas mental strength is rooted in seeing and responding to the world in accurate ways. I'm guessing we could come up with a better definition, but I am committing to answering as many comments as possible, so I wanted to at least give you my initial thoughts on your question. Sending you much peace! And thank you for watching!
