- Warning - This trick can make the game too easy and spoil the fun - Warning
1. Get hammer type weapon from military guys.
2. Get VULTR set (Removes Battery cost of performing finishing sequences and more EXP)
3. Cross the security gate and farm lvl5 military guys.
4. Get any heavy armour set at lvl5 and invest all scrap into health and energy. Ignore stamina.
Implants should focus on energy build, health, defence and stability.
5. Follow the road towards Little Johny until you can access Metro section
6. Do tricky jump upward and farm lvl9 enemy there.
I love this game. They really did a great job building on the foundation of the first game and improved everything.

I finally got around to playing this game, and found this guy by accident. He's tricky, but killable at any level. Just dodge backwards twitch to avoid his tail-swing. Also, you can trick him into using the mag-lift nearby to follow you downwards. If you stand at the bottom while he's using it, you won't go up, but he'll be stuck on your head and unable to attack.
It was a fun accident.
You can also bait him on top of the box at the jump to have him stuck in place and passive. Sometimes doing this will cause him to fall off the cliff and die automatically lol
Man you are a godsend. I have been stuck with Erza for at least 4 days. I farmed the gears upgraded my entire rig and weapons to 9 and I fucked him up within few minutes without healing once. For real I was depressed and quit the game but you made me enjoy it even more. Man I am feeling so emotional rn.

@@LinuxAndThings I am certain the fight is bugged. I have seen the fight in older videos and the machine gun will just snap at your location instead of just following you.
@@ambarghosh7433 yeah i got stuck on there today. It isn't the flame thrower or the robot kicking mez it's literally the machine gun killing me everytime no matter how fast i strafe sideways 🤣😭

In case anyone is confused by the time jump @5:03 just continue with the main story. You get there through progress in the main game.

After you get to the Pink Octopus building, you talk to Eli to open up the next zone. Go through the zone for a while heading down and you'll eventually come across the access path to the tunnels. The rock jump is still doable as of 1/25/2021, but it takes quite a bit of practice to get it to work. Good luck!

Thanks, man! I'm not a fan of hammers, but I was able to upgrade my spear to +9 in just a couple of minutes using that farming method :)
PS: for anyone having trouble with the jump, just make sure you run up the rocks close to the edge before jumping. It works every time.

Just a note - this glitches the "below jericho" quest. That level 9 enemy you kill is Nano Prototype 3-3 and you won't get that to handover to the NPC if you kill him too early (I don't think he's supposed to respawn)
nah i killed him as soon as i got to him and he dropped the nano prototype

Thanks for this. I just finished the game, and the hammer build was ridiculously powerful. Charged R2, heal, charged R2. Even the final boss was easy. Dodging and blocking? Too much effort. Just R2 and heal. Fun game, and lots of improvements over the original, and not one crash!

The final boss is considered easy in general.
The problem I have with this video is that it is going too fast, wasn't able to catch where you were half way through the video.
Now I feel dumb for doing the bosses with barely upgraded light armor and claws. Eli was even worse than the drug dealer dude. Killed me in two to three hits. Oh well, might as well let the trash feel my wrath haha. Great guide!
I just used electric drone to cheese him along with the nano spear on I believe vision 2
You can also get the weapon from the black Cerberus enemy in the aid center for another decent weapon
The Cerberus weapon has better stats but worse moveset imho. Also if you get that weapon that early you won't be able to fully complete The Stranger's side quest as Warren won't get his uniform.

I finally made it ! The jump is tricky at beginning. If this can help out, you need to run towards the middle of the rock lumps then you turn left and press L3 right after…you need to jump on the left hand side of the top ledge to make it.
Best explanation for this, thanks a lot! Was having trouble, but after reading this I barely miss the jump anymore.
To anyone watching. with the jump, don’t walk towards the wall just jump and move in the direction of the platform.

I founf your channel by complete accident but im glad i did, it really made the game so much more doable
thank you for the vid, i started playing again and thanks to the info in the vid i was able to get my character up alot tho i was having issues getting the jump accurately to get to the level 9 enemie so i didnt bother however i have some info. so you just need to get your gear to level 5 and you can easily level up your injectable to lvl 3 plus buff up your health stamina and energy bar you can easily take out johnny if your patient. also found while doing this by pass of getting to the area leading to the aid command, if you head to cloud 9 the door to gideon rock isnt blocked and you can talk to the robot to gain the quest for the monster hunt and grind that area if you wish ahead of time as well and might be able to fight the gideon rock boss before fighting johnny i honestly dont know i didnt try(key note if you accept the quest ahead of time for the monster quest before talking to the chick by the medbay heading to port nixon she will not be blocking the door or in the non combat zone after you fight johnny and kill eli for the first time. also if you freed benjamin burke you can carefully make your way thru to the area that leads to aid command and talk to him and finish his quest for some quick xp, can also go to aid command and unlock the shortcut by the medbay that leads to downtown jericho. all of this also works on ng+ and you unlock alot of the shortcuts you werent allowed to access unless you progressed the game normally. also if you progress to far doing any of this the next step of talking to the stanger(aka warren) you will by pass the step to meet him in the underground but if you do go down to where you would meet him in the underground the chest will be automatically accessible for you to grab, on your first play thru i would suggest not to skip it cause i dont know what it will do for the story progression.
People that don't understand the places he is going to are probably doing it on their first run, it's not worth It, you'll miss the whole game. You can be OP with way less than this.
One of the best games ever. Underrated as hell. It's a futuristic Souks game.

Impressive Strat, I did something similar with my 2nd run but this is little better. I like to go with directional block builds with power gloves but the charge with hammer seems nice.

if anyone wants to make this even easier when taking on the level 9 enemy equip the drone proximity adapter implant at the seaside court drone seller for 30% increased dmg when using the dron close to an enemy damag it to half and finish it with the drone take less than a minute
At 4:35 your video skips. How did you get there? Those stairs arent there after the truck. Im trying to follow along but its super difficult and confusing. Then you jump again at 5:03... -_-
At 4:35 there isn't really much of a jump, he's in the same area he's been in, as for 5:03 he has gone to Eli at the pink squid building and is in Nixon Harbor i believe, just progress through this area naturally and you will start seeing some of the areas, i followed a guy that runs from you when he notices you and found roughly where i needed to be after exploring a bit. He's basically assuming you have prior knowledge of the game, to be fair i think at some point he recommends not doing this your first playthrough. I may be wrong, i stopped listening after i watched it the first time. I've only gone back over those same spots trying to find them, i've yet to find 4:35 myself, just know that there's not much of a skip as you see it when he first enters the area. It took me forever to find the second and third skip though. Yikes, sorry for the paragraph and i realize it's a little late and you've probably already figured this out. Just wanted to try and help clear some things up. It's mainly for people in the future who also get stuck because of the skips.

You can do easily that jump without any armour. so just make a 2nd class only with a weapon and the jump is easy as f***

Possibly close to the wall and early where the ground is slightly higher. Also keep "run" button to make the jump longer.

There is like 1 minute od loading screens cut. Just go through square court in front of you and pass it through to the port section.

The infected scientist is really easy to parry but I guess if you can parry you’re not watching a guide on how to cheat hahaha. Just used this in new game plus though and it worked great to grab the final trophy I needed to 100% it.
The jump at 5:36 is still doable as of 10.7.22
Just tried the jump in March 2023 and yes it still works. Last patch was Feb 2020 so I expect it to work forever.

How can i make my hammer charged attack go further?
Fully charge r2 attack while aiming at a head or arms. When aiming you can change to a torso or legs and still get long range attack.
Got pretty damn far in the game I'm pretty sure (following Eli, just sent the Stranger off on the train for instance) and I have yet to find a single Mark V Implant Circuitry. Can anyone help me out to find and farm them? Feeling like I'm really missing something obvious. Or am I jumping the gun and it's a final act enemy type that I still need to reach?
Yep definitely end game stuff, I didn't find anything Mk V until the last area and the last mission. Good luck on finishing if you haven't yet!

Port nixon, it's and entrance to the Underground area. The entrance is in an area full of poison pools just after an athena scene near the water.
Is their any other location to get the weapon from the guy on the bridge right at the beganing of the map my decode to go for a swim and never came back

Nano staff is much better then this weapon and you get pretty much in same area. its in a vision of purple smoke after the vision a purple chest will appear along the water front where the destroyed ships are.

Its under the guy that you had to pay debt of the old lady once you go down youll see a "vision" and get a quest make a right straight right youll see it its behind water
i like Surge 2 and the dlc but you dont have to level up and grind just play normaly true the game its not that hard. Its a very fun and good game i only wish the gameworld where a bit bigger and the char development where a bit more complex beside that i realy like this game

i got spark defenders head gear with defense 40 and a i d nightfall arm defense 53 on left nightfall arm on right is def 58 for legs spark defenders defense is 60 on left leg on right its 60 for body gear i got spark defenders defense 83 total defense overall is 354 defense but 109 damage cause im using HL 1 defibrillators mk3 i still dont know how u got pass the cop area that those guys are impossible to defeat i try attacking them but the weapon i use i got hL 1 defibrillators i tryed attacking them hard but sheild impossible to break through still dont know how u got that sword

I'm not sure but it might be a from a DLC. This game has plenty of small DLCs and some of them are free.
The implant is useful but not essential.

At 2:13 there is a mag lift he takes that is deactivated in my game. I'm playing in 2023, did they patch that out of the game. A lot of old videos show people taking that lift but it's just not possible anymore.

@@subtlemonk there's no such thing as over leveled in surge games. Everything can still kill u in 1or 2 hits 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️
@@mroblige1018 not really🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️ if you use this method early on into your new game plus and not go anywhere else, you can then defeat majority of the content in the game no problem all while taking plenty of hits, especially if you use the dark lord armor set and pair it with parry chips that heal you and give you energy.

The hammer I'm using is: Experiment 44H 'Dark Star'.
The armour at the start of the video is VULTR set and later RHINO set. CERBERUS is better than Rhino but available later in the game. VULTR is the best for non boss fights.

A.I.D nightfall gear is the best gear for newcomers
I prefer rhino. Better skill (stronger charged attack) and better impact. Nightfall is good but I think the drone buff is useless.

Hello, it's normal it's difficult to loot alloy tungsten mk8 from lvl 8 enemy ? i got 2 from this enemy but he doesn't drop anymore. is we can upgrade weapons to lvl 9 or gears only not weapons included. thank so much for your answers.
