I love how the game throws two bosses (even though they are small ones) at you in the first 5 mins of the game. I love combat in The Surge series. The dismemberment mechanic and directional blocks are giving me gaming orgasms and I can't wait to play the third game! Fingers crossed!

For Captain Cervantes don't you want to cut off his left leg for the JAG-1000 'Carnivore' Shotgun drone module? If you cut off his arm you get the JAG-22 'Aeterna' which can be gotten later in the game but you can only get the drone module from him.
want to ask....for the captain cervantes fight, isn't cutting off his left leg for the shotgun drone the hardcore v2 kill instead? Since you can't get the shotgun drone anywhere else but you can get the sword via killing the ronins.

Well Brother Truman's Faith is the weird light spear looking thing with a hole in it which is what he was using for most boss fights but not all so that's what I'm guessing the weapon your talking about
Same I didn't like surge that much there was just too many problems for me but I'm on new game ++ right now in surge 2 farming tech scrap but I'd love to see more than 16 implant slots so playing on the difficulty I'm on or greater wouldn't be so difficult to survive
To be honest, as it is a german company and I am german, the voice acting in our native language is pretty good. But watching those videos showed me that it is one of those uncommon cases where you find better voice acting in german than in english. This is very rare.
@@arctusnurax8487 True. But also the first Surge had better voice acting overall imo, especially the german version. It allso ran better on my rig and the Anti Aliasing in this new one is dodgy at best.

Actually I had a talk with one of their developers and he told me that it was a harsh decision to include those dialects (one was from berlin for example) and they were nearly about to cancel that as it was too risky for an international game and stuff, but they kept it in the first Surge as a little joke and humorous attempt. On the Surge 2 they canceled this completely, to keep the matter more serious and as their Headquarters weren't too much of a fan already in part 1. Thats what I know at least.
What the fuck is with the lack of lighting on some of these boss fights? I could barely see anything that was happening in the first three Delver fights.

It was first day after the game release so didn't knew at the time that his weapon was accessible later.

you cant get the proper v2 sword from the ronins
I really enjoyed the parry system in this game wish it was a longer game and abit harder but otherwise I really liked it
I hope the next game has it but isn't so reliant on it. Takes away from the creativity in fightd
@@rustystnt i realize that this is an old post, but my first playthrough i never used block. Instead i face rolled everything with punching gloves.

It's a staff you get from killing Brother Truman, granted you cut off his arm

Some attacks can be "Ducked" when locked on, from there, you can perform a knee kick to deal 1 bar of stagger damage.
How are you able to do so much damage from the celeste boss onwards?
A.C.U v2 from Erza got a great dps if you parry bosses flawlessly

The spear is pretty OP. How you got that before the first boss?
After you've escaped the prison, you can find a NPC holding it. He is Level 7 but it's still doable with poking.
