Honestly, it was the 3rd phase that was wrecking me. I was wearing Vulture armor and could not survive two hits if I missed the block. Once I started treating him like a boss from Bloodborne during Phase 3, I took him to the woodshed. Thank you for the advice.......posthumously.
Not sure if this will help anyone but during the transformation to Phase 2. You can quickly aim for its armored arms and start hitting. You can deal a ton of damage and that gives you less time fighting in this phase while destroying both of the armored arms.
Amazing guide. I've beat the game 3 times now and this is the only weapon I've never been able to get the V2.0 of. I never even thought about the laser diode to break his gear. Amazing. Also I didn't break his chest piece but I still got the v2 so maybe it isnt all body parts just hands and legs

Hey for any future watchers, you only need to break the back legs in phase 3 to get the weapon, given that you’ve broken the front two in phase two. You won’t need to break the head or body at all to get the weapon.
this is the first fight where I actually blocked an attack, it even gave me the hint system when I blocked for the first time :) I had been playing the whole game with evading..
Commander Hellshot Same! I avoided Sekiro for that reason. When I finally got it I loved it, you can spam the Perry button and not worry about missing n takin damage. Then after a while, a long long while. You’ll git gud an not have to spam as much⚔️ sekiro helped Build that skill.
Very helpful thanks, was struggling with the last part at the legs kept coming back and I couldnt destroy the armor on the arms (which I had already destroy in phase 2), then I realize that I couldnt destroy them because I already had, took me a few tries until I realized this. Thanks again
Thanks...this helped me. The key is to find a weapon that works. Energy gain is important, preferably more than 50% so you get health boosters easily. Keep your cool, and stay close. If you have impact (rhino arms) you can smack this beast like a rag doll if you whack him at close range! I tried many weapons, and for a while it seemed that I could manage this with a heavy omni-tool, but it didn't quite work in phase 3. Codename Lohingrin staff, that is found in the A.I.D containment "bubble" loot box behind the electric axe wielding crazy heavy berserker worked for me in the end. It has massive energy gain and is fast.
Great video, here are two things that could improve this strategy: 1. While he's underground, do not run in a straight line, but in a circle to the left. This way you can get an extra hit or two in as he will pop up right next to you facing away. 2. When he's on the ceiling shooting the nanite missiles at you, don't slide attack. Use your cross combo! Your cross combo will destroy both nanites and move you out of the way of his next attack. If you don't know your weapon's cross combo, you might have to experiment a bit, but on One Hand it's Horizontal Vertical Vertical, and on staff I believe it's the same. Any combo that has travel to it will do the trick (like the leaping attack on Little Johnny's Forceps) so mess around and see what you can pull off with your weapon of choice.
Hey man - amazing strategy per usual. However, I wasted a ton of time trying to break his body armor in stage 3 in order to get his V2.0 weapon. YOU DONT HAVE TO/CANT. So to be clear: Stage 1: just beat him Stage 2: break both arms Stage 3: break both legs, and head That’s it. Sorry to chip you but I wasted like an hour because you clearly say in your video to break the body armor
Last stage is the hardest. His armor just won't break no matter how much I hit it. Even have to implant that reduces damage and gives you 100% targeted hit. The drone will break the head. The drone will break the arm. I can even hit and break the left arm sometimes. Nothing even reduces the red on his chest. Used 20 drone cells and it didn't change at all. What am I doing wrong? I did e everything else you've said. I have to keep reseting cause I usually kill him before I can break his armor.

I'm glad to see that people also had a hard time with this boss. I beat Gael in 2 attempts in Dark Souls 3 and I had NEVER played a Dark Souls or similar game. It made me feel Noob this damn robot dog killing me for 3 hours xD Only the Nameless King made me feel so noob

@@infinitedeath1384 Where I'm coming from is if you don't care about V2 you can target unarmored body parts to do more damage to enemy health faster, which makes the fight end quicker and therefore objectively easier.
@@fuzzybearbarian I have a pretty good build rn. rhino on arms and head to increase impact and damage on charge attacks, and Gaia on body and legs because they have a small amount of stamina consumption compared to other goliath sets, and the set bonus is really good with the drone weapon you get from beating the boss in AID Command. Combine rhino gear with the AID-11 Overseer hammer, and you'll be crushing enemies with a massive amount of damage, all the while flinging them around like ragdolls. The impact/damage on this build is insane. Plus there's a good amount of defence and ability to dodge a lot. Even distribution on stamina, health and energy points. With this build, it is SO damn hard to die XD. Implants: XXL rig capacitor energy dynamo aggressive amplifier Battery auto-healer that's about all i can fit in on my guy rn. More in the future. Nice little trick i learnt, when you get your energy to 50 points, for some reason the xxl rig capacitor will stop 4 batteries from draining. Not sure if it's a bug or a feature, but it's pretty useful. Same thing happens if you were to just use the xl rig capacitor and the rig capacitor.
@@fuzzybearbarian Hey i found an easier way to get the V2 helix. You don't actually need to destroy his arms in the second phase to get the V2 helix. You just have to destroy all his armour in the last phase. Also it's better to save your drone ammo for the final phase, so you can get it's head a lot easier. So now i just use a hammer in the second phase. I lock on to one of the legs, and use the heavy R2 charge attack to launch myself to him after he does the charge attack. He might hit you when you do this, but the amount of energy you gain from hammers makes up for it. Not to mention you hit him twice with that launching slam attack. I feel it's the best and fastest method to beat that phase.
Just beat the Delever for the first time, took me 3 attempts. What a terrible messy boss, indicators are shittttt… Decent game and have been having fun, played it back in 2020 for about 15 hours but gave up on my playthrough etc etc, trying again and whatnot. The Delver reminds me of Oceiros from Darksouls 3, a boss that just closes distance, except DS3 is a more polished game, for obvious reasons!
Thanks for the video. I'm still not a pro at parrying. The last sequence is quite punishing to your health if you miss. I got just divided the room in half. Let it do its nanite attack on one side of the room and his slide attack on the other. I'd hit him when it was on its side after the attack. I even got the staff too.
Finally took it down. Tanked with heavy equipment and mk VI Overseer weapon. Energy recharge implants are essential. Actually had to restart the fight before I brought it down bc I was killing him faster than I could break his armor.
I have such mad respect for the players who don't use the block analyzer. This boss was really hard for me to judge the swipes approximately for blocking.
Yeah. I actually find the block analyzer creates bad habits of not recognizing movement patterns. I mean, no criticism as it's fair to use it if you find it helps, but for me I honestly find it easier without it.

Delver may very well be the Lord Genichiro of the Surge 2. The boss that forces you to learn how to play the game as it was intended to be played, specifically how to directional block.
Or in my case, how to not get lured into blocking minigame whatsoever. If thats not intended I am really sorry for "cheating" and using circle strafing instead. Why give the initiative to the enemy by attempting high risk, low reward QTE, if you can just use the time it swings for 100% risk free circle strafing behind and hitting him instead.

@@rajahava That's not cheating or cheesing or any nonsense like that in my book. Blocking or only dodging/circle strafing are just playing to your strengths and the bosses weaknesses. So long as a given play style is still fun, have at it and enjoy!
I know I'm a tad late, but here's the correct answer to get it's V2 weapon in case anyone needs to know: Break both legs and arms Since you can only start breaking stuff from phase 2... You have to do this: Phase 1 you just hit him until he goes phase 2 Phase 2 aim for both front legs Phase 3 aim for both back legs Just that, no need for head or torso and don't mind if he generates later at phase 3, just break both legs and you are good. Tips: -Learn how to directional parry, it will make this fight a breeze for phases 1 and 2. -Scarab armor set helps quite a lot on this fight since it boosts elemental defense and the full set gives a boost to your defense as while you have 3+ batteries (which will be constant on this fight if you know how to parry). -A Staff or a Spear helps too due both being long range weapons so you don't have to dodge forward to reach him for an attack.
@qldoblp you have to hold L1 and then, right before he hits you, hold where the attack comes from with your right stick. there is also an ìmplantat the shows you where the attack comes from.
He constantly keeps putting armour back on the legs or arm when I’ve taken them off. He ends up nearly dead with 3 or 4 pieces still remaining. Why does he not do it in your video?
If you take too long to break his armor he can regenerate it, but don't worry, that won't hurt your chances at getting the V2 weapon. The game remembers which armor you broke and if he regenerates that it won't matter. All you have to do is remember which ones you broke. So I recommend going Head/Body/Left Arms/Right Arm/Left Legs/Right Leg. If you use the right type of strikes on those body parts and remember them, it won't matter what he regenerates and you'll damage the right body parts in the right way. By right type of strikes I mean RT on Head, RB on Body, RT on Arms, RB on legs.

It's the same developer that made Slain: Back From Hell which is a heavy metal influenced punishing Souls style combat side scroller. Darksiders is my new favorite series and I think I love 2 more than 3 so far but they are great and too underrated! Oh and Lords of the Fallen is definitely worth picking up when you get time. It does alot incredibly well and in my opinion is the closest iteration of a Souls game out there. It certainly has more jank and feels very weighty at first but once you get the hang of it, its a great experience. The world and story is very interesting and the rpg mechanics are very well done. Voice acting is also really good and the music is surprisingly good. It's not a perfect game and may feel very clunky at first but it works. They went for a more realistic feel but I think that was an ok decision but not implemented perfectly. It's definitely not bad though and combat actually feels quite good once you find tour rhythm. Its usally offered very cheap but sometimes the price hangs out around $20 on console but id imagine its not even a couple dollars on pc. Anyways I think you should give it a chance sometime and like most games these days, don't judge too soon as it gets better and better the further you get. LotF2 is in the works but a little while back Ci games had a bad split with another developer that was partnered up with them on this game so who knows whats gonna happen now. I hope it works out cuz I really want the 2nd game.

Since no youtuber talked about this: if you did not choose mining war veteran or search and rescue as your character's backgrounds, you cannot buy this awesome implant called 'Dynamic Redirector' from Molly that getting the implant is solely upto rng by severing heads. Now, no walkthroughs or youtubers provided such information on which enemy, level or map would give the implant so far. So if you know this please make a video for us. Thank you!
I chose Mining War Veteran so I didn't know about that until later. I'd have to do another play through to try to find where it drops, however it seems to be RNG (like other rng implants from head chops) so I think it would take multiple play throughs to get a better idea, and I since I'm already sick of Delver and Eli, I honestly don't have that in me right now. I'm surprised someone hasn't worked it out, although maybe not so much if it truly is just RNG.
Nice to know with full jaguar you get to use extra ammo w/ the drone. I guess I should level that up a little & try that then. Cuz with my current armor set, I only get about 20 shots before the drone is down & out. 😔
I remember I did this on hard mode with the pain enhancer implant taking away 1000 defence so this was hard very hard. When I then did it on Ng+ I didn't use the pian enhancer implant this time and did it first try no hit, believe it payed off
Block button AND flick the right analog stick in the direction of the attack. If you find it hard to read the attacks, use the implant that shows the directional arrows to help (can't remember it's name right now).
this fight was weird for me. a lot of times his armored limbs would just show up as blue after the transformations and i was just damaging him too much even when i did hit armored parts. wasn't able to get the best version of the weapon unfortunately. guess i'll wait until next playthrough
Yeah damaging too much is an issue with getting V2 weapons. If you see that happening deliberately lose then equip a base level weapon and try again. That's what I did a couple of times.
1st and 2nd phase, laughable at best but 3rd phase is insane. I die every time, nano is insane how damaging it is even with scarab armor maxed to blue. How do I get block timing down if 1 swipe means I die pretty much, as his slide blocks me every time.
Shut the fuck up no one asked you. Its easier to kill the boss by accident than it is to break everything one by one. Case in point I killed the boss and got V1 so of o had made a save before the fight I could have tried again.
Third phase is actually the easiest, get basically as far away from the Delver as you can and they will slide at you and then lay on the ground for a while. Dodge the slide and then hit them a few times. repeat. Duplicate this method when you fight Delver Gamma.
What's the best gear to fight him and how do I get it? Because I can't get past phase 2 and its the only mission I got right now that will progress my story further
Great video mate. I like how you block so good. I can block with every weapon beside, Twin-Rigged , One-Handed and Punching Gloves. I have a save game (on PC) right before this fight, And for the live of me, Them 3 weapons i get kill every single time. Beside keeping practicing, Any tips ? Thanks kindly.
I think blocking varies depending on the speed of the weapon. For that reason timing is different, so if you get used to blocking with a heavy weapon and then thrown on a light and fast weapon, timing will change. A lot of speed runners prefer punching gloves because they are fast, and it means with practice they can get their block timing to be pretty much perfect all of the time. Slower weapons are harder to block with, even when you practice, because you can't block 100% if you're a bit slower off the mark with realizing when the attack is coming. I'm not really an expert as I played through mostly with a one-handed katana which I got pretty used to. I've been intending to get back to it for a while now, but just never seem to find the time. I really want to do a punching gloves only speed run, but every day I say "Today's the day" something else comes up lol. But in a nutshell, pick a fast weapon and stick to it and you'll eventually get so used to the specific timing for that weapon that you'll block all the time.

Does the order for the last phase have to be exact body arms head? I did his head then his right arm began on the body and halfway through he regenerated his right arm, I let him kill me because I wasn’t sure

Maybe. It all depends on how much damage output you have because the risk is you'll deplete his health faster than you can break all of his armored parts. Much easier and safer imo to do it the way I did.
Damn, I forgot that I broke the arms in phase 2, therefor I went for them again and of course they wouldn't breake and the fucker died..And I really wanted Helix of the delver 2.0 since I already have the first versjon true my first walkthrough..damn...
the games lock on has problem maybe because of their new change target mechanics. when frames drop even in just a little time with just a small move of your mouse changes its target
Is the wraith armor good for this because I that ne’er mk v And I have both versions of the jag-22 weapon witch should I use How do I get nano absorber mod
The wraith armor partial set is more useful in the case which gives +10 omni-cells to your drone, if you add the extra omni-cell mod it gives +5 giving you +15 with 20 you already get would give you 35 omni-cells in total if i remember this right 🤔 The other half of the armor choices depends on you on which you find gives better defense/partial set, and pretty much use the same mods you saw in the description. Also i suggest the JAGG-22 Aetarna since its a bit stronger than the other version. So pretty much good luck mate, hope this helped 😊
@@florentitan1474 Oh no no no, its called "Aetarna" Jagg-22 that you get for killing captain Cervantes right arm which is stronger than Longfang and rainfall. If you want a better suggestion here's how I (accidentally killed him too fast and didn't get the v2 weapon) beat him: You can use half Wraith armor to have more Omni-cell clips while wearing half A.I.D Eclipse armor for better defense and gives extra damage if you use a hammer weapons which i used "Experiment 44H Dark Star" if you already killed some A.I.D enemies for their loot. But be warned, it may help you destroy the Delver's arms in the second phase but in the 3rd you'd have to keep hitting his body/chest part because the Delver keeps hitting strong attacks and regenerates health so it took a hard time for me so do Body First, Head Second, Legs Third. So good luck mate you'll need it 👍
Molly Fox at Seaside Court sells it if your character is the Mining Wars Veteran or Search and Rescue Officer. It's also a pick up on the VBS Krakow, but you need The Kraken DLC for it to be there.

@@florentitan1474 I'm afraid so. I have not seen it in the wild with any other characters. I started as a Search and Rescue character. Good news is once you know the game you can restart and race to Molly to get that implant really really quickly.
Are there any differences between the 2 versions of the staff except for stats and looks? Many of the version 2 boss weapons have special abilitys. Is it the same with this weapon?
Stat wise it has slightly lower physical damage and lower energy generation. As you can see on the movie it has this energy red trail effect, which the other weapon doesnt. I have no idea whether it does something. I have been using 2.0 for most of my 1st playtrough, now in NG+ with both versions (u can get it in same playthrough from Lowball/Highball) and came here curious whether maybe someone already tested it. It appears to have much faster nano buildup than version 1.0 even though the difference in nano damage stat is slight. Or maybe it is just my imagination to justify using it over the 1.0.

The timing is weird for sure. Without the block directional implant it's even harder, although strangely it gets easier once you've been through the game once.
Hate this boss as its very easy to just load up a heavy weapon and just let go to get past 2, but it seems you cannot get any hit on him with heavy weapons at the last stage. as in, this boss literally forces you to upgrade a lighter weapon.
Lock on to enemy, hold L1 and press/flick right stick in the direction you won't to block. Don't hold the right stick as that won't parry it will block instead.

@@gesalzenekatze2359 Even if they're easy, repetitive bosses should be hated. I personally hate having to fight the same boss over and over. I don't mind it if there are a lot of bosses and you can mix it up (like in something like Nioh) but in The Surge 2 there really aren't that many so each time you see Delver it kind of sucks.
Found out later that day that the hitbox is on his back for some reason so I circled around and just hit it with drone shot to break it, helpful guide though
@@MoonGodRher Definitely don't have to do that in NG, must be an NG+ thing. Never played Denver in NG+. I got pretty sick of fighting him with all of his repeats, so I didn't do NG+. Might get around to it one day though, we'll see..
Its not so easy to parry in this game, I dont know why, maybe my right joytstick its broken, cuz Most time I cant make the parries, Im trying to improve by parry with regular enemies, and man, I cant do it

Hey for any future watchers, you only need to break the back legs in phase 3 to get the weapon, given that you’ve broken the front two in phase two. You won’t need to break the head or body at all to get the weapon.

I avoided Sekiro for that reason. When I finally got it I loved it, you can spam the Perry button and not worry about missing n takin damage. Then after a while, a long long while. You’ll git gud an not have to spam as much⚔️ sekiro helped Build that skill.

Thanks...this helped me. The key is to find a weapon that works. Energy gain is important, preferably more than 50% so you get health boosters easily. Keep your cool, and stay close. If you have impact (rhino arms) you can smack this beast like a rag doll if you whack him at close range! I tried many weapons, and for a while it seemed that I could manage this with a heavy omni-tool, but it didn't quite work in phase 3. Codename Lohingrin staff, that is found in the A.I.D containment "bubble" loot box behind the electric axe wielding crazy heavy berserker worked for me in the end. It has massive energy gain and is fast.
Great video, here are two things that could improve this strategy:
1. While he's underground, do not run in a straight line, but in a circle to the left. This way you can get an extra hit or two in as he will pop up right next to you facing away.
2. When he's on the ceiling shooting the nanite missiles at you, don't slide attack. Use your cross combo! Your cross combo will destroy both nanites and move you out of the way of his next attack. If you don't know your weapon's cross combo, you might have to experiment a bit, but on One Hand it's Horizontal Vertical Vertical, and on staff I believe it's the same. Any combo that has travel to it will do the trick (like the leaping attack on Little Johnny's Forceps) so mess around and see what you can pull off with your weapon of choice.

Hey man - amazing strategy per usual. However, I wasted a ton of time trying to break his body armor in stage 3 in order to get his V2.0 weapon. YOU DONT HAVE TO/CANT. So to be clear:
Stage 1: just beat him
Stage 2: break both arms
Stage 3: break both legs, and head
That’s it. Sorry to chip you but I wasted like an hour because you clearly say in your video to break the body armor

so how do you aquire v2 ?
Last stage is the hardest. His armor just won't break no matter how much I hit it. Even have to implant that reduces damage and gives you 100% targeted hit. The drone will break the head. The drone will break the arm. I can even hit and break the left arm sometimes. Nothing even reduces the red on his chest. Used 20 drone cells and it didn't change at all. What am I doing wrong? I did e everything else you've said. I have to keep reseting cause I usually kill him before I can break his armor.

You made Phase 1 look very challenging it can be super easy by just getting behind it and keep hiting it from behind or the tail but dont get greedy.

Thanks for this vid. I went in a lot more confident afterwards and finally managed to do it. That last stage is just basically walking away with it but that second stage is a pain.
The pain gets worse when you have to fight him 3 more times later on where it's just one of the phases each time, but he has more armor and damage.

I'm glad to see that people also had a hard time with this boss. I beat Gael in 2 attempts in Dark Souls 3 and I had NEVER played a Dark Souls or similar game. It made me feel Noob this damn robot dog killing me for 3 hours xD

@@infinitedeath1384 Where I'm coming from is if you don't care about V2 you can target unarmored body parts to do more damage to enemy health faster, which makes the fight end quicker and therefore objectively easier.
@@fuzzybearbarian I have a pretty good build rn. rhino on arms and head to increase impact and damage on charge attacks, and Gaia on body and legs because they have a small amount of stamina consumption compared to other goliath sets, and the set bonus is really good with the drone weapon you get from beating the boss in AID Command. Combine rhino gear with the AID-11 Overseer hammer, and you'll be crushing enemies with a massive amount of damage, all the while flinging them around like ragdolls. The impact/damage on this build is insane. Plus there's a good amount of defence and ability to dodge a lot. Even distribution on stamina, health and energy points. With this build, it is SO damn hard to die XD.
Implants:
XXL rig capacitor
energy dynamo
aggressive amplifier
Battery auto-healer
that's about all i can fit in on my guy rn. More in the future. Nice little trick i learnt, when you get your energy to 50 points, for some reason the xxl rig capacitor will stop 4 batteries from draining. Not sure if it's a bug or a feature, but it's pretty useful. Same thing happens if you were to just use the xl rig capacitor and the rig capacitor.
@@fuzzybearbarian Hey i found an easier way to get the V2 helix. You don't actually need to destroy his arms in the second phase to get the V2 helix. You just have to destroy all his armour in the last phase. Also it's better to save your drone ammo for the final phase, so you can get it's head a lot easier. So now i just use a hammer in the second phase. I lock on to one of the legs, and use the heavy R2 charge attack to launch myself to him after he does the charge attack. He might hit you when you do this, but the amount of energy you gain from hammers makes up for it. Not to mention you hit him twice with that launching slam attack. I feel it's the best and fastest method to beat that phase.

Decent game and have been having fun, played it back in 2020 for about 15 hours but gave up on my playthrough etc etc, trying again and whatnot.
The Delver reminds me of Oceiros from Darksouls 3, a boss that just closes distance, except DS3 is a more polished game, for obvious reasons!
Thanks for the video. I'm still not a pro at parrying. The last sequence is quite punishing to your health if you miss. I got just divided the room in half. Let it do its nanite attack on one side of the room and his slide attack on the other. I'd hit him when it was on its side after the attack. I even got the staff too.
Finally took it down. Tanked with heavy equipment and mk VI Overseer weapon. Energy recharge implants are essential. Actually had to restart the fight before I brought it down bc I was killing him faster than I could break his armor.
Awesome. For me, energy implants are always a must.

I have such mad respect for the players who don't use the block analyzer. This boss was really hard for me to judge the swipes approximately for blocking.
Yeah. I actually find the block analyzer creates bad habits of not recognizing movement patterns. I mean, no criticism as it's fair to use it if you find it helps, but for me I honestly find it easier without it.
@@fuzzybearbarian no that actually helps bc there are times I just can't get the timing right and I feel it might be bc I rely on the signal too much instead of the actual character attacking. I'll turn it off for a bit and see what happens!

Delver may very well be the Lord Genichiro of the Surge 2. The boss that forces you to learn how to play the game as it was intended to be played, specifically how to directional block.
Yeah. There's another later you could parallel to Sekiro, but I won't spoil it by saying any more.
Or in my case, how to not get lured into blocking minigame whatsoever. If thats not intended I am really sorry for "cheating" and using circle strafing instead. Why give the initiative to the enemy by attempting high risk, low reward QTE, if you can just use the time it swings for 100% risk free circle strafing behind and hitting him instead.

@@rajahava That's not cheating or cheesing or any nonsense like that in my book. Blocking or only dodging/circle strafing are just playing to your strengths and the bosses weaknesses. So long as a given play style is still fun, have at it and enjoy!

I know I'm a tad late, but here's the correct answer to get it's V2 weapon in case anyone needs to know:
Break both legs and arms
Since you can only start breaking stuff from phase 2...
You have to do this:
Phase 1 you just hit him until he goes phase 2
Phase 2 aim for both front legs
Phase 3 aim for both back legs
Just that, no need for head or torso and don't mind if he generates later at phase 3, just break both legs and you are good.
Tips:
-Learn how to directional parry, it will make this fight a breeze for phases 1 and 2.
-Scarab armor set helps quite a lot on this fight since it boosts elemental defense and the full set gives a boost to your defense as while you have 3+ batteries (which will be constant on this fight if you know how to parry).
-A Staff or a Spear helps too due both being long range weapons so you don't have to dodge forward to reach him for an attack.
Where can you farm the scarab armor?
I don't understand the blocking, I tried using L1, then blocking it, but it does nothing. This is unnecessarily hard.
@qldoblp you have to hold L1 and then, right before he hits you, hold where the attack comes from with your right stick. there is also an ìmplantat the shows you where the attack comes from.

He constantly keeps putting armour back on the legs or arm when I’ve taken them off. He ends up nearly dead with 3 or 4 pieces still remaining. Why does he not do it in your video?
If you take too long to break his armor he can regenerate it, but don't worry, that won't hurt your chances at getting the V2 weapon. The game remembers which armor you broke and if he regenerates that it won't matter. All you have to do is remember which ones you broke. So I recommend going Head/Body/Left Arms/Right Arm/Left Legs/Right Leg. If you use the right type of strikes on those body parts and remember them, it won't matter what he regenerates and you'll damage the right body parts in the right way. By right type of strikes I mean RT on Head, RB on Body, RT on Arms, RB on legs.

Regarding making a video on the games I like, I'm really stretched for time. Lately I've decided to focus on putting up how to beat boss guides as my main thing. They're what most people seem to want from me more than anything else, and they're what I really like doing too. I was previously doing lots of location guides, builds and all that, but YT isn't a full time gig for me (it doesn't pay much $$) and so I can only do YT videos when I get spare time. Right now I have to choose, and so boss videos is what I've chosen... and even they take a lot of time to do. That's all I can do for now. I have this thing called "life" that keeps sucking up my time. If that changes in the future that'd be pretty cool as I'd like to do more. But hey, who knows, maybe just focusing on key fights in games might be enough to keep me and everyone else happy :)

Very awesome and I love there metal infused tone and artstyle in there games. Im glad to hear you will pick the games up that I will be playing as well. Darksiders is my new favorite series and I think I love 2 more than 3 so far but they are great and too underrated!
Oh and Lords of the Fallen is definitely worth picking up when you get time. It does alot incredibly well and in my opinion is the closest iteration of a Souls game out there. It certainly has more jank and feels very weighty at first but once you get the hang of it, its a great experience. The world and story is very interesting and the rpg mechanics are very well done. Voice acting is also really good and the music is surprisingly good. It's not a perfect game and may feel very clunky at first but it works. They went for a more realistic feel but I think that was an ok decision but not implemented perfectly. It's definitely not bad though and combat actually feels quite good once you find tour rhythm. Its usally offered very cheap but sometimes the price hangs out around $20 on console but id imagine its not even a couple dollars on pc. Anyways I think you should give it a chance sometime and like most games these days, don't judge too soon as it gets better and better the further you get. LotF2 is in the works but a little while back Ci games had a bad split with another developer that was partnered up with them on this game so who knows whats gonna happen now. I hope it works out cuz I really want the 2nd game.

Since no youtuber talked about this: if you did not choose mining war veteran or search and rescue as your character's backgrounds, you cannot buy this awesome implant called 'Dynamic Redirector' from Molly that getting the implant is solely upto rng by severing heads. Now, no walkthroughs or youtubers provided such information on which enemy, level or map would give the implant so far. So if you know this please make a video for us. Thank you!
I chose Mining War Veteran so I didn't know about that until later. I'd have to do another play through to try to find where it drops, however it seems to be RNG (like other rng implants from head chops) so I think it would take multiple play throughs to get a better idea, and I since I'm already sick of Delver and Eli, I honestly don't have that in me right now. I'm surprised someone hasn't worked it out, although maybe not so much if it truly is just RNG.
Nice to know with full jaguar you get to use extra ammo w/ the drone. I guess I should level that up a little & try that then. Cuz with my current armor set, I only get about 20 shots before the drone is down & out. 😔

I remember I did this on hard mode with the pain enhancer implant taking away 1000 defence so this was hard very hard. When I then did it on Ng+ I didn't use the pian enhancer implant this time and did it first try no hit, believe it payed off

Do you just have to press the block button at the perfect time to get the perfect parry?
Block button AND flick the right analog stick in the direction of the attack. If you find it hard to read the attacks, use the implant that shows the directional arrows to help (can't remember it's name right now).
this fight was weird for me. a lot of times his armored limbs would just show up as blue after the transformations and i was just damaging him too much even when i did hit armored parts. wasn't able to get the best version of the weapon unfortunately. guess i'll wait until next playthrough
Yeah damaging too much is an issue with getting V2 weapons. If you see that happening deliberately lose then equip a base level weapon and try again. That's what I did a couple of times.
1st and 2nd phase, laughable at best but 3rd phase is insane. I die every time, nano is insane how damaging it is even with scarab armor maxed to blue. How do I get block timing down if 1 swipe means I die pretty much, as his slide blocks me every time.

I can understand that, Delver is a pretty difficult boss I think.
I keep forgetting this the kind of game where save scumming to reset the boss is kind of necessary if you want the v2 weapons in a single playthrough.
Shut the fuck up no one asked you. Its easier to kill the boss by accident than it is to break everything one by one. Case in point I killed the boss and got V1 so of o had made a save before the fight I could have tried again.
It tried to rush the fight witouth breaking any part and the 3rd phase destryos me every time.
Third phase is actually the easiest, get basically as far away from the Delver as you can and they will slide at you and then lay on the ground for a while. Dodge the slide and then hit them a few times. repeat. Duplicate this method when you fight Delver Gamma.

I think blocking varies depending on the speed of the weapon. For that reason timing is different, so if you get used to blocking with a heavy weapon and then thrown on a light and fast weapon, timing will change. A lot of speed runners prefer punching gloves because they are fast, and it means with practice they can get their block timing to be pretty much perfect all of the time. Slower weapons are harder to block with, even when you practice, because you can't block 100% if you're a bit slower off the mark with realizing when the attack is coming. I'm not really an expert as I played through mostly with a one-handed katana which I got pretty used to. I've been intending to get back to it for a while now, but just never seem to find the time. I really want to do a punching gloves only speed run, but every day I say "Today's the day" something else comes up lol. But in a nutshell, pick a fast weapon and stick to it and you'll eventually get so used to the specific timing for that weapon that you'll block all the time.

What kind of drone and munitions did you use?
Just the base combat drone you get after beating the Warden. Basic omni-cell ammo. So nothing special.
Anyone know what I need to do to jump well blocking? The bite is the only thing killing me now and I can’t figure out how to get my jump block to work, I’m on ps4?

Maybe. It all depends on how much damage output you have because the risk is you'll deplete his health faster than you can break all of his armored parts. Much easier and safer imo to do it the way I did.

the games lock on has problem maybe because of their new change target mechanics. when frames drop even in just a little time with just a small move of your mouse changes its target

The wraith armor partial set is more useful in the case which gives +10 omni-cells to your drone, if you add the extra omni-cell mod it gives +5 giving you +15 with 20 you already get would give you 35 omni-cells in total if i remember this right 🤔
The other half of the armor choices depends on you on which you find gives better defense/partial set, and pretty much use the same mods you saw in the description. Also i suggest the JAGG-22 Aetarna since its a bit stronger than the other version. So pretty much good luck mate, hope this helped 😊

@@florentitan1474 Oh no no no, its called "Aetarna" Jagg-22 that you get for killing captain Cervantes right arm which is stronger than Longfang and rainfall.
If you want a better suggestion here's how I (accidentally killed him too fast and didn't get the v2 weapon) beat him: You can use half Wraith armor to have more Omni-cell clips while wearing half A.I.D Eclipse armor for better defense and gives extra damage if you use a hammer weapons which i used "Experiment 44H Dark Star" if you already killed some A.I.D enemies for their loot. But be warned, it may help you destroy the Delver's arms in the second phase but in the 3rd you'd have to keep hitting his body/chest part because the Delver keeps hitting strong attacks and regenerates health so it took a hard time for me so do Body First, Head Second, Legs Third. So good luck mate you'll need it 👍

Molly Fox at Seaside Court sells it if your character is the Mining Wars Veteran or Search and Rescue Officer. It's also a pick up on the VBS Krakow, but you need The Kraken DLC for it to be there.

@@florentitan1474 I'm afraid so. I have not seen it in the wild with any other characters. I started as a Search and Rescue character. Good news is once you know the game you can restart and race to Molly to get that implant really really quickly.

Are there any differences between the 2 versions of the staff except for stats and looks?
Many of the version 2 boss weapons have special abilitys. Is it the same with this weapon?
Stat wise it has slightly lower physical damage and lower energy generation. As you can see on the movie it has this energy red trail effect, which the other weapon doesnt. I have no idea whether it does something. I have been using 2.0 for most of my 1st playtrough, now in NG+ with both versions (u can get it in same playthrough from Lowball/Highball) and came here curious whether maybe someone already tested it.
It appears to have much faster nano buildup than version 1.0 even though the difference in nano damage stat is slight. Or maybe it is just my imagination to justify using it over the 1.0.
@@rajahava random thing with this game, most of the version 2.0 weapons stat lower than their normal version, excluding maybe having a tad more elemental damage

The timing is weird for sure. Without the block directional implant it's even harder, although strangely it gets easier once you've been through the game once.
Hate this boss as its very easy to just load up a heavy weapon and just let go to get past 2, but it seems you cannot get any hit on him with heavy weapons at the last stage.
as in, this boss literally forces you to upgrade a lighter weapon.
I died to this boss like 100 times how did you make it look so easy
I play these types of games a lot, but honestly, mostly just practice on him. He is a tough boss.
How to slide attack
Hi I have one problem is parry mode how setting parry minu.
Lock on to enemy, hold L1 and press/flick right stick in the direction you won't to block. Don't hold the right stick as that won't parry it will block instead.
What Element is good against delver
Poison.
Hes regenerating his weakpoints 10 seconds after ive destroyed them, what do i do?
Doesn't matter. Game remembers if you do the required breaking at least once before you down him.

@@fuzzybearbarian oh actually i found pretty simple and easy, i just tried to have all armor points broken at once before he dies.
@@gesalzenekatze2359 Even if they're easy, repetitive bosses should be hated. I personally hate having to fight the same boss over and over. I don't mind it if there are a lot of bosses and you can mix it up (like in something like Nioh) but in The Surge 2 there really aren't that many so each time you see Delver it kind of sucks.
Trying this fight in NG+ and I can't break his body for some reason
Maybe you're underpowered, that's my guess.
Found out later that day that the hitbox is on his back for some reason so I circled around and just hit it with drone shot to break it, helpful guide though
@@MoonGodRher Definitely don't have to do that in NG, must be an NG+ thing. Never played Denver in NG+. I got pretty sick of fighting him with all of his repeats, so I didn't do NG+. Might get around to it one day though, we'll see..
Its not so easy to parry in this game, I dont know why, maybe my right joytstick its broken, cuz Most time I cant make the parries, Im trying to improve by parry with regular enemies, and man, I cant do it
