Guys you blinded the receiver in AS3X mode without safe select. You were right the first time. You need to pull the bind plug out once you power up the battery then to assign a switch to turn safe select on and off by pulling the two sticks on the radio both in and down then switch move the switch up and down 5 time.. that will assign it to the switch.. safe select works when you plug in the the battery and radio on . Then wait and you should see the plane go through it’s cycle two times. Hope the helps.👍🏻
Another excellent video! Our club field has rough grass similar to yours. For my Ultimate, I removed the wheel pants and added 3" DuBro 'Super Slim Lite Wheels'. Takes off and lands on the grass easily now!

I do like the background though and Captain Blaz’s black clothes blended in making him look like he had only arms and a head lmao jk. I’d definitely like to see more assembly videos. You guys are the best! I never bind SAFE with the button, I always go into system setup and bind there. You did the right procedure the first time except you used the external button. Just my opinion with my limited experience
The background definitely helps with the noise. Aircraft is typical E-Flite quality - i.e. really good. Looking at the manual on page 11, the bind methods for the rx button and bind plug do not agree with each other: For safe select, it says to hold the bind button throughout the process, which surely is like keeping the bind plug in. Yet for the bind plug option, it says take it out before binding, which is surely the same as releasing the button before binding. I don't have the plane and may well be wrong but just thought I'd mention it.

I am too cheap to buy a stand. Built my own to use on a cheap ironing board for mobility. Right tool for the job! I have a Big hammer to make micro adjustments to servos.

To bind the model for Safe mode all controls surfaces must be at 100% no dual rates. I found this out the hard way, its in the instructions somewhere maybe.
I see the rudder was repaired. Still uneasy about the ailerons I still see the dark lines running the length of them. I do not think a foam plane is for me. As always a very great video thank you for doing them

Bisexual plane, screw drivers and two nuts. Life couldn't be better. Seriously, I'm sold on this plane. But first I have to learn more about lipo batteries, connectors and chargers. I bought a cheapo battery for my DX-6E but I don't have the connectors to charge it. Does anyone have a chart listing all the possible battery connectors so I can figure this thing out? I am bound and determined to put a lipo in my TX so I don't have to replace AA batteries every week.
You can tell Captain Blaz was a bit nervous... I think a few more build videos and you two can get back to your usual brotherly verbal harassment of each other that we viewers so much enjoy.

You can buy transmiter batteries and all cables on HorzionHobby or maybe HobbyKing.
