Watched another video on this bird. The guy discovered pretty quickly that in turns you must basically use the rudder only with only a very small "aileron" input in the opposite direction to keep the craft flat in the turn. Salute from Oklahoma.
Don't feel bad Robert, I haven't had a succesful flight with mine yet. I've had three crashes and now and the parts are now hanging from the ceiling of my hanger as a tribute to my dumb thumbs. I'm sticking to fixed wing birds. You guys are the greatest. Keep flying and filming.
Just seen your take off there and the same thing happened to me ,take off was good and as soon as I tried to turn it it fell out of the sky as yours did ,the only thing I found out was to save your main blades use nylon nuts and bolts to secure the blades to the rotor arms one on each arm and save three metal ones just in case you lose one of the metal ones if the main blades hit the ground the nylon bolts brake and it saves the main rotor blades ,reference turning use your rudder to keep the main blade in a horizontal plane hope this is of some help 👌.
Crash ratio is somehow skyrocketing in Slovenija nowadays But It is very easy to get disoriented, and especially with autogiro (No wings). Rispect and salute to pilot Robert and captain Blaz, and all the best with upcoming maidens👍 Greetings from Finland!
Hi Petrincic Bros :) I have learned to fly the Durafly Auto gyros.... They are the best thing to teach you to use your throttle and rudder...NOT Ailerons and elevator. Best hint I can give is... Use your Throttle to climb, NOT the elevator and Use the Rudder to make a flat turn, NOT the Aileron. If anything I have found that cross controling with the Aileron to keep the rotor disk (wings level)! If the Gyro, starts into a turn with too much Bank angle it side slips to its death. So keep the turns flat. WIND is also your friend... I would hand launch the first few times to make sure you get the rotor disk up to speed creating lift before you throw it. Too much elevator degrades the RPM of the Rotors and flight will get really mushy really fast. Remember also, that due to the "P" factor of the prop rotation, it loves to turn to the left and not so much to the right. A smooth wind is so much fun to practice zero roll out landings... So much fun learning to fly. Thanks for the video, always a pleasure to watch. P.S. order more blades when you order one !!!
Kaptan Robert don't worry this is experimental scienzes you are testing these things for the hobby eh! De Szientiffik Method, and Kaptan Blosh is documenting the exxperrimenzes! I salute!
After seeing this, I was thinking about autogyros and remembering a Petrincic Bros feature on engines, with our dear Capt Blaz talking and our equally highly esteemed Pilot Robert flying the camera. In this, which showed many IC engines, there was a 10cc glow motor with a belt drive reduction and I remember thinking this would be PERFECT for a large, simple scratch built autogyro, perhaps with a cuddly toy pilot figure.. Guys, that thing was 50/50 from the get go....but to have a very different platform.......to reverse input, etc..... I bet everybody does it! Thanks, STILL a great video!
I had the same result as you with orientation. But it lasted longer in the air. Cover the blades in clear parcel tape and rebalance. Order 2 more props too haha. May be spray a thin layer of paint on just the tops of the blades so you can see which way it turns. Make sure you have a lot of speed and Just turn it with the rudder. Good luck with the second flight. The lego plane made me laugh outloud. Love your chanel. Thanks both.

Hola no se preocupe todavía no he visto ninguno que vuele bien, mis compañeros todos estrellados y el mio en su caja sin ganas e montarlo. gracias por enseñarnos tanto con sus videos. 👍👏👏👏☑☑
On mine to stop it rolling too much to the left I have given it some down and right thrust using a washer under the top and left side of the mount. I have also taken one of the screws out on each blade so if it has a hard landing it doesn't damage the rotor head. They just fold. This has helped alot with its strange rolling characteristics also a little down elevator trim. Good luck.
My friend had one... He got it up in the air but it was too different flying it and he crashed. Good luck Rob! I'll be back after I watch here. Thats the same thing that happened to my friend! Exactly!
I asked Google: when should you turn off the pre-rotator on a gyrocopter? You should turn off the pre-rotator on a gyrocopter just before reaching a safe flying speed during takeoff; typically, this happens once the gyrocopter is airborne and has established a stable climb attitude, allowing the rotor blades to reach their full rotational speed through aerodynamic lift instead of the pre-rotation mechanism. Key points to remember: DO NOT TURN OFF TOO EARLY: If you disengage the pre-rotator too soon, the rotor blades may not have enough RPM to generate sufficient lift for a stable takeoff, potentially leading to a dangerous situation.
This is a lesson I've learned plenty of times flying. Gravity works great so I run cars. What would be a good beginner plane. I haven't flown in years. I'm in Florida so we have a breeze all the time
I had the same problem 2 or 3 times. It is hard to see the direction in a distance. You should consider the tooth pick mod for the rotorblades. Remove one of the 2 screws and add a wooden tooth pick instead. In a crash it will just shear and most of the times it will save the blade. Rotor blades should still be available. I was already wondering if I missed the flight video from the Autogyro standing in the background of many of your videos. You can fix it. It even starts without the motor for turning the rotor. Salute to Pilot Robert and Captain Blazz for not giving up.😃
Got one of these to try something different. 3 flights, first two were crashes. Best advice I can give is just use heaps of throttle and rudder. Otherwise even if you don’t loose orientation it might want to start spiraling towards the ground in the turns.
check the CG is correct. My SuperG the manual was incorrect for the CG and it did the same as soon as it turn it went inverted. Flew fine once the CG was correct.
Also, if one side of the fuselage (especially the pylon and the fin) was painted a different colour to the other, it'd be easier to see which way round it was in the air. 🌟👍
It takes the right knack to fly this thing without crashing it. If you only have the left knack, it's going DOWN! PS. It took me many sets of main blades before I found the right knack. Oh, and many months waiting for the blades to get back into stock. 😉
I had the first version of this a few years ago and got 2 maybe 3 flights from it before it crashed, There is a real nack to flying them. It never flew again as there was no spares for it for months and months. Never mind as there is nothing you can do.
This AutoGyro has a lot of issues. 1. The gear to drive the prerotation is actually slowing down the free movement of the rotor. 2. The rotor blades are breaking very fast and they are to weak at the root where they are mounted on the rotor head. I have made the blades more strong on the root I have wiped out the prerotration stuff because it works much better without it.
Mine sits in the airplane shop ever since I crashed it I re-balanced I fixed everything back up but my version has a wooden tower. Yours has a molded tower. Mine still has the original wooden tower and I converted my miniature servos to metal gear and I improved the Linkages with extra heavy 2-56 style linkages, which are thicker and can handle More force. But you definitely do not use the ailerons playing a flute lunch great next time I went to fly it it was hell..
that accident seems to happen with full-size gyros. i believe the answer is to use good power to take-off, gain height slowly at first, and be ready for torque reaction ..............
