  • Diane Abbott is Britain's first black woman to hold a seat in the House of Commons. She came to Newnham College in the 1970s to study History. Diane looks back at her own education and offers some advice to today's students.

    SHE WAS SO ADVANCED THAT SHE JUST CRUISED THROUGH THE HISTORY DEGREE AT CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY AFTER GETTING STRAIGHT A'S IN HER GCE O LEVEL AND GCE A LEVEL AND ACING THE ENTRANCE TEST FOR CAMBRIDGE !!!
