Can you confirm or deny my suspicion that Henry is actually a time traveller from the Victorian era who stumbled upon a portal whilst exploring a tomb in Egypt, and has now befriended a group of physics students in the hope that they can help him return home? ;)
You mean criticism that was probably warranted? Just because something works out doesn't mean it was the right decision. Those teachers likely have seen 10 similar situations in which the person failed to get in and ruined their chances for their uni of choice, give them a little bit of a break.
@Michael-mh2tw Nobody knows for sure. If you feel strongly about something despite the negativity, you should try. No such thing as ruin your chance of a uni places. We have many years to live and the universities will still be there. Try it again next year if you make a mistake. I started doing a math degree at nearly 50.
@@Michael-mh2tw Who says it was? 10 other similar situations doesn't make the 11th the same. Teachers need to do better and not get away with negativity so much. They are really ruining dreams for what? Some people would give up while clearly they could have made it. Always believe in yourself, and don't listen to negative teachers who tell you not to do stuff.
How are you guys able to score well, study so many hours, join extra curricular activities, go to so many classes, watch so much Netflix, maintain so many friends and go clubbing? :0
You're all such sweet kids and such inspiration for a 46 yrs old mother that has gone back to school for a (seriously belated) masters degree in computer engineering!
You all rock, and it makes me happy to see you all applying yourselves to learn something that will help you help society in some way shape or form. Also, I think entertainment has some art form to it and requires English majors so props to the English majors in this video as well. Encouragement from a west coast college student majoring in medicine and engineering.
You realise how old you are when people start talking about how they are watching friends for the first time...... I liked hearing from some 'new' people I don't think we'd seen before like Dan, Henry, Jacob and Emma. Very interesting. Coming from New Zealand I still find it nuts that you guys in the UK have to sit 12 or 13 subjects for GCSE, that just seems insane to me, I did 6 at the equivalent age and it was hard enough!
Love this! So, wonderful to hear about Cambridge and the experience of living there, getting accepted, etc., from your friends! Lovely folks there! Love your videos! :)
Thank you very much for this video. It's so interesting to hear about other student's study life and how they cope with it. Especially because they have different degrees. :)
I love watching your videos!! I am starting my masters in social work this September, and your videos are really getting me motivated for the start of term:) thanks for sharing and good luck with your second year.
love your videos, as always!! AND YAY FOR BACK TO THE FUTURE ED!!!!! also, could you do a "how i make my flashcards" kind of videos please? i'd love to see it!
I'm trying to get into Cambridge for 2020 and your videos are honestly helping me so much! I'm going for law though, so the subjects are obviously quite different ahah :)
Paige, don’t mind I love you BUT tell Ella that I love her the most !!! Like she is literally like a celebrity to me and I don’t know why lol but I just like her personality !
Joe O'Carroll at my sixth form college my tutor advised us that we shouldn't waste too much time worrying about and prepping for interview, so I only really thought about it in the week or so leading up to it. I revised my a level syllabus for each subject and answered a few mock interview questions with a student in the year above who had just started at Cambridge at the time and was helping out. As for the entrance exam, I just prepared by attempted the specimen paper they had online. The trick for both the exam and interview is just to know your a level courses well.
Hey thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed reply. I'm actually in my first year at Bristol studying computer science but I'm not sure whether I've chosen the right course so I have been considering other options. I enjoyed maths and physics at A-Level and have missed studying it, but it wasn't my strongest point (I got a B) so I'm not sure if I would struggle too much with it at university level. I'm not sure whether to just stick with computer science, and potentially do a masters in something slightly more physics related (if that's even possible), or to transfer degree. Also, what kind of maths do you do in a physics degree? Is it more applied maths? In computer science it's a lot of logic and a bit of pure math as well such as group theory, and I'm not great at this type of maths.
I have a question if anybody could please answer. Cambridge follows the "term" system wherein there are three 8-week terms. So that's hardly 24 weeks wherein most of the best US , Indian ,etc universities take atleast 9-10 months time of their students on campus. In that respect, isn't a US student getting a much better experience and interaction with their respective environments and obviously there's more time to explore a lot of other stuff too(very important in my opinion for maths, related stuff which I'm aspiring towards). Potentially at Cambridge I'll hardly be spending 1.5 years while at US unis it'll be 3.5 years. ( Also I am a sucker for going into deep mathematical concepts, whilst not sacrificing the breadth so on that respect Cambridge course structure seems appropriate)
Hey Paige! I don't know if you'll see this but would you mind asking Henry what his Classics interviews were like? I also have three in one day (and one the day after) so I really don't know what to expect haha
i do not know what college i want to apply to at all, if you don't get into a college do you get pooled and get taken in anyway? I'm quite confused lol
Hello Paige! I have to admit that I discovered your channel just a few days ago and really love your videos. I am currently 15 years old and in the future I would like to be able to go to Cambridge to study veterinary ... Any advice you can give me to help me with the application?
Raphael Castello 578 points in my leaving cert H1 maths H1 applied maths H1 physics H2 geography H2 accounting H3 chemistry It probably equates to A*AB, AAA or something along those lines. To get into Cambridge engineering I needed 4 H1s and 2 H2s if that helps.
Raphael Castello I never applied to Cambridge as I wasn’t sure what was happening with brexit and assumed I wouldn’t be able to afford it. My parents also wanted me to remain in Ireland and no one told me to apply to the UK. I thought about it but was never bothered to go through with it. I do remember jokingly trying to create an enlarged brexit meme out of emojis for my personal statement. (I didn’t think I’d be able to go to the UK due to brexit) but never finished and forgot about it. I hear AAAA is extremely difficult to get so well done.

You do like to fantasise don't you?
AHAHAHAHAHAHAA THIS IS THE BEST COMMENT I'VE EVER SEEN AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAAHH
I was thinking the same thing oh my goodness
Lol
Will is so chilled about everything😂
Respect to Ella for not giving up after hearing so much negativity about her interest in physics.

I would go back to uni and start it all over again JUST to meet people like him so yeah 😂🙏🏻
How are you guys able to score well, study so many hours, join extra curricular activities, go to so many classes, watch so much Netflix, maintain so many friends and go clubbing? :0
Bea Tan natural ability cuts down revision time
Hmm... well just enjoy your life with deep sadness and seem-like despair...
They have 48 hours in a day....
Generally highly academic people struggle socially so have more time to study
And don't need work as they have rich parents to bail them out
You're all such sweet kids and such inspiration for a 46 yrs old mother that has gone back to school for a (seriously belated) masters degree in computer engineering!
I'm presuming Will's the alcoholic of the group?!
OK CAN EVERYONE SEE THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN PAIGE AND ED?!?!? Adorable! x

Ella is well-spoken and seems fun!

Paige, don’t mind I love you BUT tell Ella that I love her the most !!! Like she is literally like a celebrity to me and I don’t know why lol but I just like her personality !
How much preparation did you do you your entrance exam/interview? Thank you !

PaigeY oh really? I was worried that I would have to dedicate lots of time to it. Thank you for replying and helping out. I love your videos!!
At first, i thought they meant 40hrs without lectures and i was like wow...
Love your videos🙌🏻❤️
can you do a video specifically about studying physics at uni and the difference in it from school, what you can do with it

this made me smile so hard omg ty for this its beautiful
will is a mood
Perfect🔝🔥❄ as usual👌
Did my masters in engineering there. You need to study all day if you wanna get a first-class. No free-time at all for engineering and maths students.
Me being an Indian college students
We have 35 hrs on a good week if a teacher decides to go out to eat
From 8 am to 4 pm
“Do you suffer with stress...” *nervous laugh* haha
2:47 that's the most posh person I've seen in your vlogs 🤣🤣
really informative video! out of interest, how many came from private / state / grammar schools? x
Lizzy you can tell from accents the majority went to really good schools lol
Lizzy of the 9 people I interviewed, I think it's 2 from private schools and 7 from state schools, but to be honest with you I'm not entirely sure 😂
You both look so pretty in the thumbnail!!xx
When you talking about work, do you mean the hours that you're studying or +the hours that you're on the lectures?
I thought Ed and Tim were the same guy ahahahah
Same
Can you suggest a decent place to stay in Cambridge with fully furnished apartment/flat/home, for single/couple, without paying to agency?
This video is so funny and useful, I love it! ❤️ How did you choose your college? x
i do not know what college i want to apply to at all, if you don't get into a college do you get pooled and get taken in anyway? I'm quite confused lol
almost all of the cambridge vloggers actually attend jesus or christ college
this was so wholesome i stg

Emma’s articles are so sweet
Great questions 👍
