I just took my 2002 VW Jetta 1.9 TDI EGR Delete 5 speed manual on my 1st long trip from Eugene, Or. to South of Denver, Colorado.. and back...3295 miles and averaged 51.38 mpg for the entire trip... I want to lift it up a little to be able to drive it on my vacant Colorado property.. Looks like a fun project ! Liked/Subscribed
People can look and hate all they want. But only a tdi owner knows how useful a gas saver is when it gets you from A-B year round!! The oil pans sit very very low because Diesel engines having taller blocks. My Jetta is just about the same as this.
Wait a second....hopefully this was not covered.....but, how long do the constant velocity joints last running raised like this....esp. putting power through the axles?
Hey, wondering what size your tires are. I'm doing a similar build but with a 2006 TDI. Alsready got 3" of lift and wheel adapters (5x112 to 5x114) but curious how big your running so I have an idea for a ball park to run in
I’m interested in what everyone is using for the lift…. I’m doing a complete modified 03 Jetta 2.0 lol and I’m building it then the safety lol so will these keep parts pass a safety do you know?
It's the same as the MK5/MK6 VW Golf/Jetta platform so yes, absolutely doable. Check out Lifted Watercooled VWs on Facebook and use the search bar to find any info you're looking for. ~Cody
A lot. used to get 1,000kms a tank, now I get 750ish...Then I put even bigger injectors than what was already in it and lost another 100kms a tank. My own fault but near stock injectors you'll still get great fuel economy. Mine's just modified for power.
1999 Wrangler front springs for rear, 2012 Sahara wrangler front springs for front, you need to extend rear shocks, front shocks will top out sometimes. Arches are universal kit from ebay.
5x100 to 5x114.3 1" wheel adapters. As for springs I'm currently using strut spacers for the front and front springs out of a 1999 wrangler for the rear.
It doesn't do anything . Better MPG with egr and without it takes 15 minutes of driving to get heat. I've driven both and would never do egr delete again.
That "Drive it like a rental" enterprise sticker is amazing. I used to work at one, definitely getting one for my truck lol
I'm looking at something that I used to imagine. I would love to do the same with mine. Congrats, looks awesome!!!!
That's actually pretty freaking cool I always thought how would of look like lifted and rally looks, I love it...nice job
I wouldn't say it's rally it looks more of an overland build
Cody’s car is sick! Awesome video

The tail lights 😍😍😍😍😍
Those are small wheels lol, but big for the car! Looking at getting one of these for a new daily since they look like a blast to drive!
What tires are you using ? Those looks awesome

this is very close to what im planning to do to mine, and im also not far from toronto.
Can you just replace the stock springs with jeep while keeping the rest stock?
What a nice build! :)
4x4 conversion in this would be sick!

I've been beating on these OEM junkyard axles for over two years with zero issues. At 3" of lift the car doesn't really seem to care about it.
@@CodyOnCarsrebuilt or new OEM is the only way to go imo. Aftermarket are never balanced correctly

The jeep spring do you have a parts number??
So will any Jeep lift kit work on these cars?
What are the specs on the flares?
What roof rack is that? please
Hey nice car. Do you think this can be accomplished with a volkswagon EOS 2010?

Eos would look insane lifted Lmao . They're quirky little cars . Some had the 6 cylinder too (? )
How much did it hurt mileage?

But the Smiles per Gallon make it worth it.
Nice car! :)
Only Jeep spring? nothing more to lift a car? which exactly springs from the jeep? :) where did you buy the widening wheel arches?

@@CodyOnCars still the same set (TJ & JK springs)? did you cut springs?
What spacers? And what springs?

What strut spacers? What were they for?
Would sabe sick if awd

*PLEASE !*
What kind of tail lights are those?
Hella magic clears I believe.
Yah kinda want to do something like this but with a golf tdi.
Is it 4 motion? If not then why?
North America never got a 4motion Manual TDI. In fact, im not sure if we ever got a 4 motion anything from that era
USA never got 4motion on the mk4’s
