I just got some 18x8.5 +35 wheels with 225/40 tires on them for my 05 gli while installing them the rear had no problems at all but in the front the inside of the wheels rubs against the coilovers so what spacer set up should i get would be gladly appreciate it
Did you manage to fit 235s? I got some OE Long Beaches 17x7 similar offset, can’t remember exactly. I want a meaty set up but I’m still a fucking noob with this fitment shit lol
I have just picked up a set of weds SA-10R With 18x9.5 and +38 offset all round 🤔 Going to need at least a 15 if not 20 mm spacer in the front & maybe +25mm in the rear. I think it might fit with stretched 215/40/R18’s They arrive next week, do you think it will work on Coilovers with a bit of poke? Thanks, keep up the great work
Ha! I have a very different look than what these are going for. I'm currently running 15x7+15 Motegi MR139 with a 12mm spacer in the rear. And 205/75R15 General Grabber AT2s. All under a 2 inch lift.
Hey you've done this! So I've done the lift but I'm waiting on the tires. Any idea if I can fit a full spare in the trunk with the general grabbers on there? I'm a bit skeptical it'll fit and I'm not sure how I feel about losing my full size spare.

How do people put the porshe twists rims on the mk4 jetta? Even though its not a 5x100 bolt pattern ? Trying to learn the wheel game so i could make my car look a lil more cooler
For my personal taste they look horrible. So to get this straight you turbo it and make it hundreds of horse power then you lower it so you can only drive it in slo mo otherwise it scrubs everywhere and every pothole on the road becomes a direct threat to your oil pan? But hey it shoots flames off the back. I only watched till the end just to see if there is any normal, actually performance stance that you can use on the track. You know that one where the tyre actually has a side wall that can absorb bumps in the road?
ngl, all four configs looked too low and too ugly, if you can't reliably hit a speed bump without losing the whole under undercarriage, it's a worthless set up

Do these fitments take the coil over strut into account? As the inner edge of the wheels tend to hit the spring or strut depending how low you go?

not sure with 235s but with oem 225s its 10mm front and 20mm rear spacers to get flush

My exact set up, I'm only running spacers to clear the bigger brakes I installed
I had 18x8.5+35 on the front but I needed 5mm spacers so I didn't rub on my coilovers

The bolt pattern for these car are 5x112 correct? Just picked up one up myself. 2004 vw jetta gli to be specific if that matters
