How to upgrade your key to a flip key (Peugeot 206)

Here I detail how to transfer the central locking circuit board and internals of a Peugeot 206 SW remote 2 button key into a new flip key case from eBay. Its a simple process and is not dissimilar to changing a fixed key to a flip key on other manufacture remote keys such as Volkswagen, Vauxhall, Citreon ect.

I only have the little black chip i dont have the green mother board, my question is if i buy the casing and the circuit board and throw the key and chip in there will everything still work? Thanks a lot mate

If you put the transponder (black chip) in the new case and get the key cut on the new case you’ll be able to use it like normal and it will start the car. The circuit boards aren’t reprogrammable for these types of keys so you would have to get a new remote board which I believe would need to be programmed diagnostically
