I was alway a Punk and Thrashmetal fan in the 80s and 90s but i awlays loved some beastie boys love see you youngsters enjoying all the great music we grew up with
You never know what you will see or hear when The Beastie Boys drop a new video - LOL. One thing is for sure, they are always fun & entertaining, besides the incredible music. I've been a Beastie Boys fan since their first album dropped way back in 1986. I can recall the day I went to my local record store (what are those?) & bought the album immediately after seeing their music video for "Fight for your right" premiered on MTV, back when MTV actually played music videos instead of scripted reality TV shows... 37 years later and I listen to that album quite frequently. They had many subsequent hit albums after, but Licensed to ILL is still my top favorite.
I can't believe it's been 11 years since we lost "MCA" (aka Adam Yauch). They were pioneers in rap music. It was The Beastie Boys who help to kick start other rappers' careers, most famously that of LL Cool J. They were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, but "MCA" couldn't attend the ceremony, as he was battling cancer. He died a short time later on May 4, 2012 at the young age of only 47 yrs old. By the way, this song came out 25 years ago in 1998.

the Robot & Bad Guy are spoofs of characters from 1967 GIANT ROBOT. A Live Action Manga Movie. A kid (Johnny Sokko) accidently gains control of super weapon (GIANT ROBOT) & helps save the world. They played it randomly on TV in the 1970's. We all wanted to be Johnny Sokko!
Saw them in concert in the Uk when they toured this album. They preformed on a rotating boxing ring to say it was fire was an understatement. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
