- I was laying in bed dreaming of GOLD when an idea suddenly popped in my head… “Can I use a Salad Spinner to classify material when prospecting?” Weird thought right?
Well you sure as heck know I’m going to try… and try I did! This thing worked so good that I’m going to probably use it from now on to classify my material!

A possible solution to the spider cracks due to the jig saw cutting would be to use a soldering iron to melt along the cut lines.

In a year or so, I can travel and will be heading west, getting to crowded here in the south, our small town is becoming Atlanta, sucks. My suggestion to anyone who has one of these "gifts" , try sell it for $10 and buy a piece of punch plate.
But before that , head over to Jason the Flour Gold Wizard and search for DIY Classifier.
Have seen few stronger , faster , easier to use , simpler , and more effective.
btw - loved the presentation , the idea ? - not so much lol.
But the thinking behind the idea is what will get you closer to the gold

Yea that’s not a bad idea! The biggest fault I had with this was the sidewall length… fix that and I think you have a pretty good recovery sluice… oh and maybe 3 feet long! Thanks broyher
There are small laundry spinners that work on the same principle. A little more pricey if you want to throw money at it.😂

Always fun to experiment ... but honestly , I think a standard classifier or one like Jason at FGW made for himself is much faster and more efficient . Especially for us family guys who have limited time in the field ..... Still , a real fun review , well done ! Just subbed ,,,, like the diy content ,,,, keep it coming
Hey Dan! I appreciate that and completely agree with you. It does work well (I was surprised) but yea just a standard classifier works really good. Dan Hurd and Vo-Gus use a classifier that works really well. I need the name of that. Yea I like doing these. I know most if not all are impractical DIY’s and builds, but it’s fun experimenting and seeing what else can catch Gold! I guess I’m just trying to show my viewers that we can look outside the box and not have to spend billions to find 5 cents worth of gold. I’m glad you find it entertaining and welcome to the channel! Hey John! Thanks for checking up… as for its use, I think I used in a few more times but that’s about it. To be honest, nothing beats the classic screen with a bucket. Having said that though, I like to think outside the box and try and have fun while learning something new. I’m currently tinkering with a new design by using air pressure to make a fluid bed classifier. Is it working… sort of. I put out a video last Friday and it was so so. This coming Friday I have a new video coming out with some upgrades where it works a lot better.
Again, this is for fun and I know it’s impractical but I am learning something and maybe, just maybe, something might stick and the community can learn something. Either way, I’m glad you’re a part of it and thanks for the support. I’ll catch you later John!
