I’ve lost a lot of respect for Gnomonkey over this tbh. Puts out a video complaining that he doesn’t get hard content, he gets hard content and barely waits a week to cheat at said content, and then puts out another video whining that Jagex banned his method of cheating? Also does so by making disingenuous arguments, full of whataboutism, throws up a huge list of plug-ins to make his point, yet half of them do NOT violate anything on the half-page list of rules that he referenced and is CERTAINLY smart enough to read and comprehend. Like I could excuse this if he were an idiot, but he’s not. He’s a really smart guy, and he should know better. Edit: and the audacity to be mad at Jagex in the name of “the disabled community” when they lost the plug-in because HE abused it. The absolute lack of self-awareness. It doesn’t sound like he cares about them at all, he cares about being allowed to cheat at awakened Levi.
Gnomonkey is that guy who brings an unnecessary wheelchair to an amusement park to get to the front of the line and is appalled when someone asks him why he doesn't need it anymore and walks off by himself just fine.
@@larryw5533 and then they temporarily stop letting people in wheelchairs move to the front of the line while they re-work their policy so it can’t be abused like that, and he says “wow, I can’t believe this amusement park would hurt disabled people like this”
Gnomonkey also **shows** alrdy 2 rules visual audio plugin broke Shows where mechanic starts and shows which prayer flick in what order Rn he just feels delusional that doesnt want play by jagex intended ways
Look at it this way: Does this plugin seem like something dreamed up in Rendi’s deep, dark, but also beautiful mind? Yes? Probably illegal/counts as cheating then lol
@@I_enjoy_some_things this argument kinda falls off beacuse rendi finds bugs/clitches in-game while calculating what he can do with them While plugins GM cried are indicators. But if rendi did create plugins, probably would be this as raw draft but it would be made for glitch/bug findings and markings
@@runeritari3 Rendi would 100% make use of something like this. Assigning/gaining access to the numerical values of tiles, etc. is the bread and butter of exploiters. Remember when you could use the runelite dev tools to basically show the safe tiles in the Temple Trekking swamp event? Settled talks about it in one of the earlier Swampletics episodes.
Gnomonkey is hiding behind legit disabled players to try and justify cheating to get through an otherwise-impossible phase of a boss... Sorry but I have no more sympathy for HLC players. Do something better with your life than complain to Jagex that there is no content as hard as sub-50 min Infernos.
There are HLC and then there are WheelchairHLC that includes people who buy their achievements, use cheat clients or plugins. don't drag Other HLC players to this shit, gnomonkey boy is now a meme
Yeah, but I feel like that's a trend in our time. People love to hide behind concern for minorities and fringe groups. Also, it's entirely possible to tweak the plugin to still give to utility to players with disabilities. That being said. Jagex should really be better about disability features.
Gnomonkey is that guy who brings an unnecessary wheelchair to an amusement park to get to the front of the line and is appalled when someone asks him why he's walking off by himself just fine.
Off topic thought for jagex. I've lived in the uk, there is like an extreme focus on disability adaptions there. Surely there is government money in it if jagex hires a developer specifically to work on accessibility features.
So he’s the guy who has been buying all my orbs :). Thanks Gnomemonkey, can’t wait for your next controversy. Also, you’re wrong, and so is your idiot friend Sax.
demonic gorilla plugin was banned. However, the mechanics at demonic's were recently updated by jagex and given a visual indicator for when they are swithcing attack styles. already much easier than it was 2 months ago.
If the watchdog plugin can change noises in game, it could potentially be used to change the specific different attack style's noises to something like "MAGE", "RANGE", "MELEE". Did nobody think of this? Would be a huge problem.
Exactly if it can use a custom sound file to say "A leech has spawned" it would take me 10 minutes to record and add "Mage", "Range", "Melee". They're fucking delusional
@@Sargaxiist2022if grabbing audio and visual IDs is fine by their standards we can make some content trivial. @@bigmanbryan5510and people fucked off. Jagex lost tons of potential revenue and eventually allowed OSRS to be made with a backup that attracted players back.
if you can't do it without the plugin, maybe the plugin is cheating....to admit that something is nearly impossible, and then do it easily with the use of a third party plugin, might mean that the plugin should be removed. Also now he's just gonna get tons of his other plugins banned by putting them in that list. He's absolutely a narcissist and I hate that I used to like him. He's clearly very intelligent but he just cannot understand that while this is probably his fault for bringing attention to the plugin for something pretty much no one would ever have used it for, it isn't targeted at him. I hope he goes to therapy and finds a way out of this mindset he has, it's very toxic for himself and the community as a whole. Also, this would be huge for getting setup at DKs or the inferno, or pray flicking the minions at GWD. With that you don't have to think and plan, just blue mage green range red melee and you're good.
I feel the same. I stopped watching his stream and unsubbed last year. He started being condescending and just flat out belittle his subscribers because they asked a genuine question. But he deems them as stupid questions and should be made fun of for asking them. His ego has gotten too big and maybe this drama will humble him. If not, the dude needs to take a break and touch some grass.
I agree with the first part of your statement completely. The second part doesn't actually apply, these are only for attacks that read your overhead when they impact (or hit) you. DK's or the inferno read your overhead when they attack you, making this particular plugin useless there. The plugin that would be OP in those situations is the guitar hero-esque plugin.
Colour coding the sound file numbers to match the overhead attack style colours is what really makes it look like the plugin is "telling" you what to pray. If they were left as white text their argument would be easier, but the plugin still helps you pray an attack without even seeing coming at all.
even if the text was white for all 3 instead of red green blue it would still be telling u what to pray. even if it doesnt say mage range or melee, u can easily consider 7030, 7040, 7041(or whatever the numbers were) as it telling u mage range or melee prayer
Does not matter in which way it indicates the prayer. It could be hooked up to ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard that sprays you in the face, so long as there is a way to differentiate the 3 it is 'against policy' and certainly cheating.
Was this targeted to fuck with the HLC? No Did the HLC bring this specific way to use these plugins to light which resulted in them getting removed? Yes - most definitely
When you insulted people's genetics, I didn't hear it. I put in my hearing aid that Veterans Affairs gave me, so I could laugh at the thought of blind people playing Runescape.
I'm more of a WoW player than an OSRS player but this sounds like a very similar issue that Blizzard had with addons that provided so much information to the player that not only does it make it so these addons are required to be invited to groups, they have to now design boss encounters knowing that players have these addons that trivialise most mechanics. It got to the point where because of how bad it was especially in the Mythic Archimonde fight in Legion where they restricted the API access that addons had to draw information to the game world because of an otherwise incredibly difficult mechanic was made (relatively) simple. Honestly this could be a 1000iq play by Gnomonkey, trying to popularize these addons so Jagex has to make harder content to accommodate the fact that the average player's skill is inflated with addon usage so there's more content for the HLC.
In case it comes up: CG helper falls under the acceptable plug-ins because it's manually triggered at the start of the fight. If you start the count at the wrong time, the helper won't be on the right tick.
If you trigger a stomp it also messes up the timing and you have to manually correct it. Like it's literally just a metronome and you can achieve the same thing with a UA-cam video (in fact before the plugin was created there were literally UA-cam videos that did the same thing, you click play when you enter the room)
Gnome Monkey last week "Omg, the new bosses are so easy, this is unacceptable how easy the content are." Jagex removes two plugins Gnome Monkey now "Omg, the bosses are too hard to kill now without those plugins"
King makes a good point.. if the plugin is giving gnomemonkey no additional information then surely he'd be able to repeat it with out any issues..? If the plug truely doesnt provide anymore then he can do the fight now, without the plugin, fine. Maybe issue him the challenge to prove that the plugin wasnt assisting him in any way.
I like that you’re not afraid to change your mind even sometimes multiple times in the same video. Shows that you truly are just trying to figure out the facts and are willing to take on different viewpoints when faced with the proper evidence. I may not always agree with you but I can sure as hell respect that type of attitude.
By gnomonkey hit listing the plugin hub, I cant see the HLC being very pleased with him as the plugin's are now under Jagex's lenses. shoulda taken the L and not messed with the plugin's...
really screwed himself showing off using it, if we never seen the video imagine this could still be done today np and actually been just killing the boss instead of shitting the bed like this
Regardless of stance on the ban. Jagex has plugin policies, those plugins contradicted those policies and as a result, Jagex are within their right to ban it. Arguments against are pointless. It's amazing how people just don't seem to get that.
So - I use the NPC indicator to help identify what stance Ahka is in during TOA. The fact that it highlights the attack style - it indicates what prayer to use. The boss stance is also a visual cue - my plugin just helps to amplify the visual cue. Gnomonkey could listen the the sound and pray on time - what if there was a plugin that just amplified that sound to make it easier to hear? Would that be against the rules? I'm not trying to take sides; just genuinely curious.
No it's very simple hearing something vs seeing something are two different senses. If you could hear it that's the whole point you use your ears and hearing sense to distinguish it not your sight.
boosting your audio is not against the rules. Adding visual clarity is not against the rules (i.e the HD plugin or smooth animations). In your example with NPC indicator, if it changed colour to blue when the stance changes to indicate to pray mage or red for melee etc. that would be against the rules. The issue with those plugins were: 1) Sound plays - Green text appears to pray range - sound plays - blue text appears to pray mage 2) Sound plays but instead of the usual sound its a sound cue telling you what to pray. (example: Instead of the clicking sound when Nightmare is about to do a range attack its a voice saying "pray range" or just plays the range prayer sound instead.)
@@Jaco97 just to clarify - Ahkka has a unique ID model for each of his stances. I highlighted the melee stance red, range stance green, mage stance blue using NPC indicators. So then yes - NPC indicator would be against the rules when used in this fashion, I'll have to disable it. If that sort of highlight is not intended to be against the rules I would think Gnomokey's use case is the same thing - making unique game IDs easier to identify (sure audio indicator to visual indicator is slightly different, but I would expect unique audio ID indicator to more obvious audio indicator would be the same use case.)
@@0opssorry my bad. I didn't know you could set it up like that. With my surface level understanding of the rules, then yeah that would probably be against the rules. BUT Afaik, Jagex won't ban you for using it since they approve the plugins, they would get it disabled until it changes. So I wouldn't be worried about disabling it if it helps you.
@@0opssorry (to add, I think they specifically went after these plugins since they were used against the newest content, they may start to revisit others now that this is being discussed so widely)
Stupide take tbh. It would be enormously stupide for jagex to not communicate why they did/do the things they do. This isn't even specific to this content or jagex as a company. They need to have clear communication with whoever they decisions effect. True for both business and politics. Otherwise you make people even more angry than if you just told them upfront.
@@larryw5533 oh I was never able to do leviathan, so don't worry about that. I watch people do pvm like other ppl watch ppl play sports. That still doesn't change that fact that jagex needs to communicate. There is a reason that "it wasn't th scandal, it was the handling" I'd a saying. From what I can tell, the plug in band seems fair. But the "it's their gamez they can do whatever they want" argument is entirely braindead.
Hearing people argue for the plugin was actually giving me a fucking headache. Like what is wrong with them, and how could they not understand that it literally added an indicator.
"its not additional, its confirmation." so if you didn't enable the plug-in, would those indicators still be there? No...because they were added by the plug-in. its additional LOLOL mf's really crying over semantics
I think gnome monkey should do a stream on vanilla client and see how well he does any the content he does. Every single one of his videos has some crazy shit show of different colors and its just so annoying
A little further down on the third party client guidelines is "Indicates which prayer to use in any combat situation", which takes away the grey area that he was trying to play in. Both the numbers of the prayer or attack and the color of the numbers changing indicate which prayer to use, and he is in a combat situation. Done and done. Good video, love the diving into these types of topics, keep it up.
It's not even worth trying to explain things to these kids. I read it as they (the chat) simply have a problem with authority/anyone telling them what they can and can't do.
The main problem is that these people think that they deserve to be able to use plugins. They are NOT a part of the game, they are a tolerated part of the game and a luxury until something better is available. If you think the game isn't good enough with super specific plugins, you shouldn't be playing.
Just gonna say this: "The game is too easy, they need to make more harder content!" *Jagex makes an hard encounter* - immediately makes or seek plugin to cheese the hard mechanic "No really this game is too easy, they need to make more hard encounter!" ......................
Im glad you're doing these responses to these people's stupid arguments and actually using logic instead of just crying because the game doesn't cater to your needs or how shit affects ur own niche way of playing like gnomonkey etc. I hope jagex never listen to these ppl about this stuff
Thank god jagex is standing their ground with this. If you play wow you will understand exactly what will happen if the developers get in an arms race with addons/plugins. In WOW, there are addons called DBM (deadlybossmods) and weakauras, they are basically cheat addons, but allowed. They tell you when a mechanic happens and what to do when said mechanic happens, which basically means that you can turn your brain off and listen to the addon to tell you what to do. Gnomonkey is no different from the top level community of wow, they tell us that the content isnt hard (which is a fucking lie btw, turn off the addon fuck nut and try to do it then) and then the developers just listen to them and design content around the top 1% of players, not realizing that 99% of the players can't even beat the first few bosses of the new raid/dungeon. Then the addon comes out with the update and now people can actually complete the content, how about you remove the mechanics that are impossible to understand without the addons and remove the god damn addons? It would be so much better for people who are new to the game then. People need to understand, some plugins need to be disallowed, so that the game could be better for everyone. Plugins like this are a sign that people are going too far with plugins and there needs to be control over what gets published.
100 if prayer indicator addons are allowed then it might make inferno and content current easier but new content will be designed for it in mind like sepulcre movement while 1 tick prayer switching
@@rayvg7709I dont really care what happened back then. We are talking about here and now, so we should talk about stuff that is happening at this very time. Sure those things existed back then, but at least they are gone now and jagex is still standing their ground against these kind of plugins (sometimes).
gnomonkey is delusional if he genuinely thinks half the plugins on his list at 51:00 work in any way similar to how he was using the visual qs on leviathan looool
In my opinion, red-xing and prayer flicking are good for the game. Red-xing adds depth and allows for cool & skillful methods to avoid rng pathing when you're underneath an enemy, like gwd patterns. Prayer flicking raises the skill ceiling and adds a way to push difficulty in content, or do low level challenges. If you agree with me on these points, then using these as example of things they should have gotten ahead of and shut down early is a bad point, because the game is better off for it.
i just dont understand how he said "i request harder content" and shits all over the awakened versions of the bosses IN THE SAME VIDEO, but goes on to self impose a challenge, and makes it into a simon says prayer matching instead of actually seeking the challenge. "but the challenge is impossible!" no shit your powers of observation are astounding, thats the fucking point
monster menu hp? im mobile so idk what any of those plugins are, but even vanilla has boss hp, is that the same thing? same for boost info, and attack time is litterally in your equipment tab i dont even get why thats a plugin u fr cant figure out your whip is 4tic.... and npc agro timers holyshit the hand holding of rl lmao
Most combat plugins are cheating. Look at all of the cheat bullshit on Gnomonkey's screen. If he wants high level content to be challenging, he should play it raw. Don't use any plugins or any tilemarkers.
So he wants Jagex to make more mechanically complex bosses but also wants plugins that make the most complex bosses easier is what im understanding. I love his content but I’m confused
I'm a fan of Gnomonkey and certainly related more to him moreso than King Condor regarding the debate about high level content in the game. With this however it's pretty clear that Gnomonkey and Sax are mentioning the point about deaf people using the plugin os just a way to virtue signal even though they really just want to cheat plugins to do content that isn't meant to be completable. At the end of the day, visual indicators like this aren't allowed elsewhere in the game, and haven't been around since client nuke, so nothing has changed when we see that theyr aren't allowed now either. Also, Awakened Lev isn't designed to be killed while praying against 0t prayers anyway, if we had a plugin that made cows drop tbows that would be against the rules too because again, it's not the intended design.
You could have used this in the inferno. You manually set the color indicators, so you would set the mage to green and the range to blue to be prepped for the NEXT projectile. 100% cheating
it seems like the argument for the plug ins is that individually they arnt breaking the rules but used together they are breaking the rules. which in my opinion means they are breaking the rules.
i think what he fails to realize is that jagex made the rules, and can decide not to follow them. Simple as that, obviously they have to balance that with community feedback to grow their game.
1:02:30 I think gnomonkey is absolutley right here, i'm not visually impaired but i have a hard time seeing shadows on a black or dark red floor, toa skulls, bloat limbs, olm crystals, they need to make these type of attacks easier to see don't even need to make them as big as the attack just make the shadow or indicator easier to see also the way gnomonkey was using the plugins at leviathan = 100% cheating lol
I wanted to be a professional basketball player when i was little but im 24 now and only 5'6. They should make the hoop lower to the ground so that its easier to dunk and shoot; that way it will be more likely for people of similar stature to me able to play the game at a professional level or at any level that i want to be able to play at. Me and my friends play at the local court but ive always felt that playing at the highest level would be fun
This is one point that I don't agree with you on. This is a clear example of inconsistency with applying these rules. Raids plugins are doing more harm than these two plugins are, and Raids bring in way more GP than Awakened Lev. I don't think it was targeted at anyone, and I agree that they are trying to nip this before it gets worse, but they already let it get worse with several other indicator plugins. This one is kinda fucked by Jagex
you're missing the point, most of the raids plugins do not directly add indicators on what to pray like the leviathan plugin is doing, they might feel like they're "cheating" but they are full inline with the policy, a visual change is different to adding a visual indicator that is telling you what to pray. Remember I am Pro-plugin, I wouldn't have cared if they plugins are removed which I have said numerous times, but it is clear as day why they were removed and the others were not, Gnomonkeys argument was weak because he chose to misinterpret the policy, It almost feels intentional at thus point but it's not very hard to understand
That fact that he tried to compare the mechanical design of the boss to the plugin and pretending they are the same is baffling. The leviathan is supposed to be your visual indication which prayer to switch to, but by design the speed of the attacks become too fast to respond to naturally. Creating a plugin that tells you which prayer to use faster than the intended visual queue is in fact and without question, a cheat. You are getting an unfair advantage that exceeds what is already available in the game. If you want to get scientific, the plugin can determine it by the sound in the absolute instant that the sound effect is launched, which is FAR beyond human comprehensible ability. Do people recognize popular music by simply hearing the first note played? NO they have to hear a few cords in a specific rhythm before its recognized, however if you get to visually see the song title people recognize it immediately. Same principle is being applied here to allow for faster reaction time. By identifying the sound for which attack it represents, then making it color coded to be more recognizable, effectively telling you what to do faster than the game willingly shows you.
5:19 this makes me a lifelong fan of this dude rofl he makes look like he cooking aa hard as disss then he just abandon his atempt and then just makes it simple fking lov this dude x[)
There were exploits this plug-in was capable of that weren't and likely aren't going to be mentioned, just like some of the PVP ones. I say remove all plug-ins that aren't UI and graphics related, if it reads or writes anything to or from the game then it's cheating.
I say don't do that and just allow these plugins. Peoples argument that this particular plugin "tells you what to pray" is no different than the boss "telling you what to pray." Just moves the indication from 1 side of the screen to the other. I remember when Jamflex wanted to ban RL and everyone s*** their pants saying "iF rL dIeS i QuIt." This game is super aids without plugins.
it's not a tactical advantage, it's a processing advantage. it's still an advantage lol the skill he needs to develope is being able to process the cues Jagex has put in, as he is doing now, but respond to them WITHOUT the plug-in. it may be difficult, but you're playing under self imposed difficulty by refusing to stun LOL he couldn't do this without that processing advantage, which everyone freely admits, so idk how this isn't cheating lol.
Jagex gave us an inch when they let us keep Runelite at all, and now we're trying to take miles. We should honestly be grateful we're even allowed the plugins we have today. Games have rules how hard is it to follow them?
Gnomonkey clearly cheated! how hypocrite of him saying/ranting that the game is becoming easy but look at him using cheat plugins to kill the boss easily and now rants that the plugin is getting removed/banned and its making the game hard/difficult to play 😂😂😂
Changing cues is absolutely making bosses easier, for example the fact they put the colour on the sound ID literally right above the prayers means you don't have to look at the boss, and it's most useful at the hardest part where you have the least time to react. And, like @j0rd0 said, you can change sounds to be much easier to parse mentally. I'm glad they removed it.
I think gnomemonkey is making a solid point in one regard only. If Jagex is going to remove things to enforce the rules then it should work across the whole game. Some things are far more defined as not allowed and yet Jagex does nothing to address it. Bots had been running wildy bosses since day 2. Pretty sure botting or macroing is 100% defined and yet Jagex does nothing. I think they should tackle the bot rampage before they release another single piece of content. Its a joke at this point.
100% Bots are killing the gàme. New players have no good money making methods and they give bosses with better resource drops like Vorkath to combat green dragon bots. Now we just have Vorkath bots. It didn't fix the problem it made it worse. Get rid of the damn bots! Ip ban them. Stop the Amazon promotions. Don't accept fraudulent payments from stolen credit cards. The only people left are high level people who already beat the game.
these guys think they super hardcore but need 1000 plugins to kill any boss :D 2023 is funny ^^ get em on fixed and dial up see how they do XD long live the king!
they are trying to use the argument that it doesn't add a cue, it changes what the cue is... but there wasn't an audio or visual cue in the place you put them before. Those cues are added, even if its only translating information already on the screen
to be fair, anyone using radius markers on akkha for Stay Vig is doing something similar, no? that tells you what to pray one full attack early. so what is the exact rule on this?
Im am hard of hearing and my mechanics knowledge isnt the best so im probably confused on one of these areas. People are saying the attack sound plays on the same tick as you need to pray for the attack. Though all the plug in does is take the active sounds and has a visual display. So is the plugin displaying the sound as an image, then people seeing the display and clicking the correct prayer all in 0 ticks. Because that doesn't seem possible.
I don't think it's possible to react to the sounds as they become indistinguishable and too fast. But it makes it much easier to react to a visual colour change. It's much easier to react to visual cues than sound cues, because sound is an additional sense you need to bring in while you are already using the visual sense. I think only blind people react to sound cues faster since they can't use their visual sense. But you can't play the game if you're blind of course. I don't think that 1 tick attack phase was designed to be able to be played without using shadow barrage or just guessing. I think main advantage is that you can predict the pray switch by just staring at your prayers. Meaning you don't need to alternate your attention between the orbs and the prayers. It's like having your foot on the brake pedal preventively to allow for a shorter reaction time and faster breaking.
You know what....as much as I have nothing against most uses of plugins...I'm proud as fuck that I can out perform many players who use them where I don't. And tbh the more you use training wheels, the more you rely on them and the less you develop in skill as a player but if you're happily playing the game....you do you but personally I find it more rewarding to accomplish things without them... similar to how an ironman has a certain appreciation for the supplies or gear obtained the hard way compared to someone who can buy them in ge
It actually does matter what NPC a plugin is being used on, given the Jagex guidelines you pulled up on screen very specifically mention plugins that give advantages to fighting *Bosses.*
Which obviously Leviathan is a boss so clearly Gnome and Sax are in the wrong to complain about Jagex requiring to be removed, and very reasonable to think the developer can make sure it does not work on boss sounds or when the player is in a boss encounter, whichever is necessary, if not both.
Crazy how he can one day complain about bosses being too easy, then the next day complain when they take away his borderline cheating plugins away to make a boss easier. Does he want a challenge or does he just want to beat something that seems really hard, the easiest way possible?
Is red X-ing essential for completing any content in the game? Or is it just highly recommended and convenient. I have not had to use it yet. Looking at it from the outside, it always felt really cheese to just be able to click something else and avoid all damage taken.
The muppets that started bringing up the notifications for prayer or hp running low was incredible. The guideline says specifically no additional indication for BOSS MECHANICS these people genuinely cant read even at the lowest level.
Late to the party but what the hell. Gnomonkey is insane dude. He shows the policy, mischaracterizes it by saying its vague but all encompassing and used to ban specific plugins when its literally NOT all encompassing, but gives clear direction into what is not okay and applies it to plugins that break fall within.
So many people in live chat saying you want to fight Gnomonkey because you disagree with his opinion of a plugin. Just because King doesn't agree with something the guy said, doesn't mean he wants to hit Gnomonkey...
The fact that you made an hour long follow-up to this just baffles me. It's such a non-issue, some people need to learn when to take an L and move on. Jagex doesn't even need to have rules listed for plug-ins, they can do whatever the fuck they want, and if you don't like it, tough shit, go make your own game. Lol
let me unbaffle you content, views, subs, money, career, content creator. people eat this content up like there's no tomorrow, not to sound cringe but, don't hate the player, hate the game
I still believe that this challenge is only possible on mobile where changing prayers is a 1 tap action and thumbs are more dexterous than the other fingers
Honestly, this is very similar to radius markers at Akkha. When his attack style changes you get a big box around him telling you what to pray. I have no intentions on using this particular plug-in but if you remove this then radius markers should go also
I think the Akkha one is ok because the mechanic isn't to progressively increase the speed of the prayer flick. It's just a regular attack style switch. But I'd be fine if it was removed as well. I'm assuming there exists a similar plug-in for Jad as well, which is like borderline cheating. So yeah...remove it.
If someone is colorblind, they need a colorblind option. If someone is hearing impaired, then they need an option to help them hear stuff they can't. This is Jagex's responsibilities, not Runelite or the plugin creators. Add an option to make Leviathan have different orb colors, and you can change it to what you want to be. Jagex needs to finish C++ so we don't have ridiculous arguments about this, and we just have one official way to play that isn't dog shit in comparison to Runelite.
I’ve lost a lot of respect for Gnomonkey over this tbh. Puts out a video complaining that he doesn’t get hard content, he gets hard content and barely waits a week to cheat at said content, and then puts out another video whining that Jagex banned his method of cheating?

if you can't do it without the plugin, maybe the plugin is cheating....to admit that something is nearly impossible, and then do it easily with the use of a third party plugin, might mean that the plugin should be removed.
I laughed hard when you lost it trying to explain how something is considered an indicator lmao
Colour coding the sound file numbers to match the overhead attack style colours is what really makes it look like the plugin is "telling" you what to pray. If they were left as white text their argument would be easier, but the plugin still helps you pray an attack without even seeing coming at all.
"indicating"
even if the text was white for all 3 instead of red green blue it would still be telling u what to pray. even if it doesnt say mage range or melee, u can easily consider 7030, 7040, 7041(or whatever the numbers were) as it telling u mage range or melee prayer
@@wonderstag5405 yeah exactly. The plugin was made with good intentions but this was clearly a major oversight
Does not matter in which way it indicates the prayer. It could be hooked up to ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard that sprays you in the face, so long as there is a way to differentiate the 3 it is 'against policy' and certainly cheating.

CG helper also doesn't read or write anything to the game, it just acts like a metronome with funny intervals
If you trigger a stomp it also messes up the timing and you have to manually correct it. Like it's literally just a metronome and you can achieve the same thing with a UA-cam video (in fact before the plugin was created there were literally UA-cam videos that did the same thing, you click play when you enter the room)
I like how there's a combat diary even called 3 2 1 range so I feel like cg helper is fine by them.
@@thecodeson99 That's because it does 3 attacks per cycle, not as a reference to the helper lol

Regardless of stance on the ban. Jagex has plugin policies, those plugins contradicted those policies and as a result, Jagex are within their right to ban it. Arguments against are pointless.
It's amazing how people just don't seem to get that.
I mean the shit is even fucking color coded for each “color” of the pray. Lol red blue green anyone would know which is which. I stand with King.
Man said legal in Minecraft lmao
The issue with those plugins were:
1) Sound plays - Green text appears to pray range - sound plays - blue text appears to pray mage
2) Sound plays but instead of the usual sound its a sound cue telling you what to pray.
Tell me you weren't around during 2016 when we had plugins that would literally TELL YOU what to pray on jad/demonic gorillas.

Most combat plugins are cheating. Look at all of the cheat bullshit on Gnomonkey's screen. If he wants high level content to be challenging, he should play it raw. Don't use any plugins or any tilemarkers.
The king may be a slow reader, but he knows best
Actually the mager and the ranger has the same sound ID, so this wouldn't work

it seems like the argument for the plug ins is that individually they arnt breaking the rules but used together they are breaking the rules. which in my opinion means they are breaking the rules.
i think what he fails to realize is that jagex made the rules, and can decide not to follow them. Simple as that, obviously they have to balance that with community feedback to grow their game.
1:02:30 I think gnomonkey is absolutley right here, i'm not visually impaired but i have a hard time seeing shadows on a black or dark red floor, toa skulls, bloat limbs, olm crystals, they need to make these type of attacks easier to see don't even need to make them as big as the attack just make the shadow or indicator easier to see
also the way gnomonkey was using the plugins at leviathan = 100% cheating lol

Me and my friends play at the local court but ive always felt that playing at the highest level would be fun
Same. I absolutely hate dealing with GG boulders at times because of these terrible indicators.
Should ban the raids one as well.
you're missing the point, most of the raids plugins do not directly add indicators on what to pray like the leviathan plugin is doing, they might feel like they're "cheating" but they are full inline with the policy, a visual change is different to adding a visual indicator that is telling you what to pray.

I remember when Jamflex wanted to ban RL and everyone s*** their pants saying "iF rL dIeS i QuIt." Gnome monkey: Jagex doesn’t add enough HLC content
Gnome monkey: This content is too hard.
''if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it's more than likely it's a duck'' -- King Condor 2023
Sometimes it is an idiot making quacking sounds though. Hearing an extreme amount of quacks from gnomonkey.
The mental rigidity of some people is insane
Also i saw gnomonkey use watchdog to tell him when to eat to not lose dps seems pretty cheaty to me
they are trying to use the argument that it doesn't add a cue, it changes what the cue is... but there wasn't an audio or visual cue in the place you put them before.
Bro the people acting like its okay are being absolutely stupid
Crazy how he can one day complain about bosses being too easy, then the next day complain when they take away his borderline cheating plugins away to make a boss easier.
Does he want a challenge or does he just want to beat something that seems really hard, the easiest way possible?
Is red X-ing essential for completing any content in the game? Or is it just highly recommended and convenient. I have not had to use it yet. Looking at it from the outside, it always felt really cheese to just be able to click something else and avoid all damage taken.
unfortunately it kind of is yes for a more effective experience at GWD, most people would not be able to do the CAs there without it

My earing lose was non service related was due to my weak genetics. 😂 u'd make a grear army doc
The fact he is saying it is not possible to 0 tick pray without the plugin should be enough right?
It's reading game code giving information faster than any visual or sound que could possibly convey.
@@larryw5533 yes and this is not intended cause you shoudn't be able to react to 0 tick.
“Leviefan”- king condor 2023
The muppets that started bringing up the notifications for prayer or hp running low was incredible. The guideline says specifically no additional indication for BOSS MECHANICS these people genuinely cant read even at the lowest level.
If it’s a runelite plug-in, can you get banned?
Late to the party but what the hell. Gnomonkey is insane dude. He shows the policy, mischaracterizes it by saying its vague but all encompassing and used to ban specific plugins when its literally NOT all encompassing, but gives clear direction into what is not okay and applies it to plugins that break fall within.
Weak genetics had me dead
@@KingCondorI didn't mean that as a knock against you 🙂 this community is just something else
@@catsgonyan I understand that, I think a lot of people share that opinion both negatively and positively, no issues!
I still believe that this challenge is only possible on mobile where changing prayers is a 1 tap action and thumbs are more dexterous than the other fingers
the dudes in the chat that got you annoyed were pissing me tf off, literally explaining it to them!!!
So yeah...remove it.
i agree that the akkha radius marker should defs be removed as well.
Imagine saying the game is too easy but at the same time use every plug-in available
