I think Occult deserves S-tier if you put Ancestral in S. It gives the highest mage bonus (10%!!!!) which is better than the ENTIRE ancestrals set (only 6% and over 300m+) AND it's only 500k to boot. Super cheap and super strong, what's not to like about it?

Higher end content feels VERY gatekept tbh and it makes it frustrating to get into it. It's really hard to learn like CoX or ToB solo, although i'm trying my best, and players generally dont seem too willing to help a noob out. You get a lot of flak for just not having as good of gear, poor PB's or not fully grasping all the mechanics quite yet, etc; People have a tremendously huge ego.
It's kind of just a really bad cycle of having some help makes it drastically easier to learn/get into but you're also expected to have done the content before people will run with you. Which honestly by time i know the raids and people are willing to team up with me I wont really need them anymore and mine as well just try and improve myself by continuing solo.
Lots of people have forgotten they struggled just as much once upon a time. I mean most of them at least anyways.
Ty for all the guides. It's been incredibly helpful getting into OSRS. Going to ToA tomorrow and doing some runs to try and figure it out. Was doing CoX a bit today and managed to get to Olm but kinda gave up after half an hour of dying to him and accepted it as a learning experience. Run today actually had both Vasa and Tekton which were the 2 that stopped my 2 previous attempts. Vasa seems easy now. Tekton i still dont fully grasp and used a lot of RSS but it's improvement.
Having said that. I have to disagree on absolutely no rational basis with the Bulwark tier. Big shield bonk is just a concept i enjoy.
You can lock layers in adobe programs so you don’t accidentally move them. I forget how, but fyi, it helps

I'm glad we agree on Zaryte vambs. I've been waiting for them to drop on price for a really long time now purely because they're not as good as everyone says they are. Like nothing to Zaryte vambs is a big deal. B gloves to Zaryte vambs isn't.
B gloves are rad but when it comes to range gear prayer and range str are way more important than def and atk bonus so z vambs having both make it a huge jump imo

the bulwark switch at Arma doesn't work anymore it suddenly changed while on my Arma trip yesterday so it has a cooldown that when u equip a bow after the shield it says something in the lines of the bulwark prevents u from hitting... its a few ticks that stall ur hits between equipping bow after shield.
you need to change your bulwark settings mate

Thank you! The obsession over the chance to hit higher while never having it guaranteed is making items stupidly overpriced. I'll take a fury and b gloves over other items for those slots if in a situation where you tribrid. Too many swaps makes the game too sweaty.

It literally does lol. It’s better than lance unless you have maxed melee stats and then the lance is only just barely better. So why not save 10m for a way better weapon overall that has a great spec (lance doesn’t have a spec) AND is pretty much the same at Vork and better at other dragons.

@@CaptnBeeBop because I do have maxed melee stats and I can afford a lance. Accounts don't magically stop at lvl 85 stats. And the lance isn't barely better when it outclasses the fang, it's significantly better

If you “got the money for a lance and whatever you want” then you’re not doing Vork for money in the first place lol. Totally up to you if you wanna keep it in your bank collecting dust for the rare occasion you feel like killing Vork but the bank space is more valuable to me than that. Bless Vork is your main money maker which would be sad if you have 95+ combat stats

The occult is good in the inferno because of the damage, even if each nibbler is only 10 HP, it increases your damage with blood barrage regardless and makes it even better when you phantom barrage for inferno beginners
I like how people saying 'it's just a max hit' don't realize that the engine draws from a uniform distribution meaning that effectively that max hit means you basically hit 1 more on average. Using very bad statistics you could even argue that if you hit a 9 without a +1 max hit, it would have been 10 if you had it.
edit: ofc there's a lot more rounding shenannigans at play too but let's omit that for now lmao
I am fully aware of all of this, i am telling you it is not worth using when going for your first cape, is it would be far more beneficial for the learner to take an extra brew/restore
@@KingCondor nibblers are notorious for making learners panic and make stupid decisions to chase them. Killing nibblers in one barrage more often is way better than having 9 brews instead of 8. Learners die to dumb mistakes, not running out of supplies
@@henlofrens max hit is a potential in osrs. you can potentially hit for the extra dmg. however rng says you'll just miss b2b2b2b so whats the point?
@@KingCondor oneshotting nibblers is insanely good. Learners especially die often because they either panic with nibblers on pillars or chase them for no reason. You really don't need more than 8 brews even if you're bad at the game, and you can comfortably pack 8 even with a triple switch for mage gear

This guy just said dragonfire ward is useless cause it’s out DPSed by twisted bucket, then he turned around and went off about how DOS isn’t everything. Which is it? The dragonfire ward is great because if you’re praying mage (because you’re using the bucket instead) then you take more damage, and if you don’t have 500+ KC, you will die more often without the DFW.
I am going to buy a ring of the gods after watching this video.

I disagree with blowpipe. It should be in A tier minimum.
1. It's tbows best friend.
2. It contains it's own ammo.
3. It's the only 2 tick weapon in the game and fun to use
4. The spec is strong. A small-medium heal is nice in a lot of places.
5. The venom doesn't really matter but its nice I quess.
6. it's cheap to use and buy. Its also easy to obtain for ironmen.

i disagree with zammy hasta or spear being C tier. its the best mid game stab weapon which offers really high stab bonus with some defense bonus for the price. sure, the spec sucks and you cant train specific melee skill. its only beaten by the fang which is 40m and zammy hasta being 4m.

I'd agree with you but making 40 mil in this game is not a big deal these days. Even easy bosses like Vork and Muspah shit out 2m per hour if you play somewhat attentively. Hasta is a cool weapon (especially for slayer) and it looks rad, but Fang kind of ruined its niche.

@@MrPatrickbuit true fang is very powerful but sometimes you need money to make money. unless someone is lending you their dhcb or dhl, you arent killing vorkath effectively. For muspah, you need acb in the least to kill it before running out of supplies and your range lvl matters significantly. that being said, fang is now 26m which is very affordable but there are people who cant afford it.

Vorks dragonfire can hit 60s through a super-antifire, and 10s through pray mage and a super antifire, no one sane is bringing a twisted buckler to that boss

"Using a DPS calculator as a guide is stupid."
No one uses DPS calc for a guide. It's used to make inform choices, which makes this take really dumb. DPS calc gives you the average of what to expect with gear that you want to buy or progress, or to choose between gear you do have to figure out what's the best. Obviously DPS calcs are potential DPS, but no guide or advice can account for the player's skill or mistakes in terms of missing ticks or whatever.
"The Fang is better than Lance everywhere."
This is so wrong it hurts. I would've agreed with you if said the correct thing, which is that "the Fang is better because it is more useful in more places than the Lance is". But you said it's better for dragons, which is factually incorrect.
Using Serp, BCP, tassets, salve, ferocious gloves, prims, b-ring (i), dragon defender, the Lance wins at Vorkath by 4.5%. Rune dragons? 0.29%. Adamant dragons? 0.30%. Mithril dragons? 1.11%. Steel dragons? 0.45%. Blue dragons? 8.66%. Black dragons? 0.82%. Brutal black dragons? 0.71%. KBD? 1.78%. Literally everywhere. And for KBD/Vork specifically, BGS will make Lance better (which you will be using) because the Lance creates a bigger gap when defence is lowered.
The Fang is basically as good as a Lance, but Lance is still better.
"DHCB is bad because you don't use it anywhere."
No, it's BiS at Vorkath and KBD. It's ACB (so dragon bolts) on top of the dragonbane effect. You use it for Vorkath to get more trips because you'll take a lot less damage using ranged.
"Shadow is not S tier because sometimes you need the Sang. Expected DPS doesn't matter because RNG exists."
This is a really stupid take. Through and through. If certain content or a strategy values healing, then yes, you bring Sang. But you do not use a Sang because you MIGHT get bad RNG on hits with Shadow. More DPS = less time fighting = less damage taken is said so often because it's true. You can't account for bad RNG, and you should not ever bring gear with you just because you MIGHT get bad RNG.
Bad RNG with Shadow is really rare as well, because its max hits are so high and also extremely accurate, so this is even more stupid in context to say.
"Toxic staff of the dead is basically a dead weapon."
Also wrong. No reason to make it toxic, but staff of the dead gives a whopping 15% magic damage bonus, which means it's BiS for bursting until Kodai.
"Saeldor is S tier".
No it isn't. Like yes, it's BiS slash, but you can't say "it's great if you spoon 2 enhanced seeds". It doesn't work like that. It's not worth your time, at all, going for Saeldor because it's a miniscule DPS increase over tent whip which is much easier and faster to get. It's too expensive to justify buying it on a main until very late into an account. It's a bad idea to corrupt it because you rarely use it. It's pretty irrelevant because slash weakness is not really a thing, unlike stab and crush. You don't pay 106m for spend 60+ hours for a generalist weapon that's slightly better than tent whip.
"Masori B tier because bowfa w/ crystal armor is better."
Wrong, once again. Masori 2pc (especially 3pc) with blowpipe using amethyst darts beats bowfa in most places.
"Using Fury over Anguish is bad because you won't notice the difference."
Dude, my god, what you "notice" or "feel" doesn't fucking matter, the numbers matter. It matters on Zuk. Sure, it's only 1% accuracy and 1 more max hit, but it's still 4% better. You save 12 seconds. Doesn't seem like much, but with as long as Zuk is to kill, killing it 3 attacks quicker can mean a lot. Regardless, it is BiS.
Sure, perhaps not for your first cape, but you should have a good amount of supplies by the time you hit Zuk anyway so "one more brew/restore" doesn't matter.

No it isn't, Fang is. Because you 2:1 Cerb.

Flinching KQ is a stupid idea because it's slow kills. Of course you're attacking every 4 ticks if you're doing the fight normally.

this list is bad and the logic lacks all reasoning like masori is bad because a mage helm has an ornament and a melee helm that makes you poison proof, and two mage shields one better then the other being the same tier and anguish is d ier becuse you dont brig it as neck switch in inferno so its still best ranging neck it not being used in inferno doesn't effect that. also not loving the homophobic reference to thing as bad with the term gay I thought people were past that like using the word retarded when something is dumb.
