Hi I recently turned 40 and I am starting to experience Amblyopia. It normally happens when I'm tired and I notice my vision gets a little blurry and my lazy eye happens. Will wearing an eye patch work? If not, is there anything I can do that will help?
@illuminategaming4804 it sucks, but I just try to relax my eyes when I get tired now. And I am more aware if I am squinting and using the stronger eye and try not to do it. How about you?
Hi! I think similar to the below comment, I'm wondering about treatment options for adults that have always had lower visual acuity in one eye compared to the other (lazy eye). My right eye is significantly weaker than the left as a 29 yo and I believe this causes me vision strain, easy crossing of the eyes at certain viewing angles, etc. I think my brain is literally blocking out certain amounts of info from my weaker eye, because it seems a lot less clear/ with some more slightly faded vertical stripes of vision when I'm only looking out my right eye, if that makes sense. I'm wondering if anything can be done in terms of patching, eye exercises, etc. that will still benefit adults? I used to wear an eye patch as a kid and had prescription glasses for this reason, but poor compliance and I don't think the situation was ever fully rectified.
I will link a video I have done on vision exercises here: ua-cam.com/video/Hw4WzcnWptw/v-deo.html I hope this helps a little bit! I know it can be so hard to deal with these things.

I had normal eyes after suffering from glaucoma both eye were affected but one dropped more hence to see i used glasses which corrected only one eye but the other could do nothing for that..but now i am using 1 at age 20 what should be done dr?
What if u have one eye that wonders off but the stronger eye starting to have blurry vision and the vision gets worse in the none wondering off eye? ( 7 year old)
i have astigmatism with -4 in the left and 0.5 in the right therefore leading to more decrease in the vision in the left eye. Now, the issue is that, because my right eye was in tip top condition, i saw the world pretty normally until i took a test for fun and realised it was already too late as i was 16. most kids dont even recognise the need for a checkup due to the other eye being in complete favour. im opting for eye patching a way to make my left eye co ordinate with the brain, hoping that it works. im almost 18 so i dont really know.

I’m 23 I turn 24 in July is it too late for me ? Or can I get my vision better don’t wanna have blurry vision anymore and I definitely don’t want to lose the light in my eye because the best way I can explain it is I can still see out of my bad eye but it’s not as clear and perfect as my other eye I can’t read or see anything small with my left eye but I would like to improve my left eye so it’s just as good if not close to my right eye
You can but it depends if you have lazy eye or not.
If you do, it cannot be corrected as it is a lifelong condition.
Ben Türk doktordan öğrendim.Bir kız 23 yaşlarındaymış.Doktorlar göz kapama yapma zamanı geçti demişler.O buna rağmen istikrarlı kapama yapmış.O dediğim doktora muayene olmaya geliyormuş.Ve göz kapama işe yaradı dedi doktor.Bende şaşırdım dedi.Kızın gözleri düzeldi dedi.

Do patch treatment help in 17 years old children
My son came to know about lazy eye when he is 13. What can be done to cure? Is there a cure at this age?
Can you use both method? Patch and glasses or would that confuse the brain?
No it wouldn’t; I did both as a child. Emphasis on the fact that patching is usually done with children.
Hi I recently turned 40 and I am starting to experience Amblyopia. It normally happens when I'm tired and I notice my vision gets a little blurry and my lazy eye happens. Will wearing an eye patch work? If not, is there anything I can do that will help?
Hey suffering from this aswell, how r u handling it?
I will link a video I have done on vision exercises here: ua-cam.com/video/Hw4WzcnWptw/v-deo.html
I hope this helps a little bit! I know it can be so hard to deal with these things.
i have the same problem and the same age ..i know its tough..did you find anything interessting on the this issue ?
Plzz reply this is very important for me ...my parents don't afford any vision therapy ...I have 5-10%lazy eye...can exercise on daily basis correct my eye?
I think there are apps that you can do vision therapy on for free but I’m not one hundred per cent sure.
@@amythornton1984 could you suggest me any?
Does this work with adults ?
?
Little evidence to prove that
But you can give it a try anyway
Am 22 and one of my eye is not working.
I had normal eyes after suffering from glaucoma both eye were affected but one dropped more hence to see i used glasses which corrected only one eye but the other could do nothing for that..but now i am using 1 at age 20 what should be done dr?
how long patch treatment need for left eye strabismus for 6 years old kid.
I don't know my case cause I have better vision in my lazy eye it is going upwards and looks smaller than the other it is my left eye ...
What about a mild droopy eyelid on an adult?
Hello sis. Please can I use it on short sightedness for my kids
Not necessarily; that’s different to a lazy eye. Both can be corrected with glasses though.
I was 13 when i notice that my right eye is blurry now im 14 can i still use an eye patch?
Yes
When your 17 you can't fix it but you can still treat it in time
@@TheUnknownUser28 thanks for the replay
@@TheUnknownUser28 i just got operated so sad 😭
@@AnimatedAdventure101 oof i still have it and i need to get an eyepatch 😭
How long do i wear it
M 26 have amblyopia in right eye what shoud i do??????
Brilliant.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate it!
What if we r already 18 and wearing eye path
My daughter is suffering with refractive amblyopia right eye -H53.021 myopia right eye-H52.11 please guide hospital treatment is so expensive can she gain her sight ?and the left eye is perfect she is 12 years old
You can’t get hospital treatment for it anyway; it’s a lifelong condition. Does she wear glasses?
Are slip over the lens patches effective like normal patches?
Yes they can be.
I am 44year old.what I do.
Is this okay for a 7 year old who has right intermittent exotropia?
Have done anything yet? And what's the outcome now?
Hi got interested in this😢 my 4yr.old boy got "lazy eye" on his right eye😢 it started last year on October 8, 2023.. permanent..lazy..?😢 he can't control it anymore 😢
pleas help your sun
It is permanent. There are tools out there to manage it but it will never go away.
Should we wear it all day long or 2-3 hours?
2-6 hours a day.
I can't even read when I pack one eye . What should I do .
See an eye specialist.
Thank you for the informative video. I only wear contact lens in my right eye and I also have ptosis on the right eyelid. My left eye has perfect vision. I suspect I have refractive amblyopia based on your video. My ptosis fluctuates from mild to moderate and I'm already considering eyelid surgery. I'm wondering if my lazy eye is the cause of my ptosis and vice versa. Does patching work for adult or is it too late for me?
My doctor recommended me this but I'm 21 so should I really do this I have a lazy eye and also my right eye has a blur vision

So I wonder if it could work on adults that developed a lazy eye?
Cuz 3 years ago I never had a lazy them I got in a bad accident and that's when I started too see doubles of everything without my glasses
Thats not lazy eye, thats trauma
@@luckydevil1601 maybe🤷
i am 32 years old ..can i use patch ...please reply ...
Technically no; it is usually meant for children but it’s still worth a shot. Speak to your doctor or an eye specialist.
hello. im 17 and i have a lazy eye. my left eye wanders off. and its embarrassing. i cannot get a surgery or go to a doc due to financial problems. would this eye patch work fix them at 17 or is it too late?
You can definitely give it a shot! Also, I will post a link to my eye exercises video here: ua-cam.com/video/Hw4WzcnWptw/v-deo.html
Maam im under 18 & how to fix my lazy eye plz reply ma'am 😫😫😢😢
same bro...
You can’t fix it unfortunately. It’s a lifelong condition but you can at least see an eye specialist.
It never helped me
Damn I thought it was Mya pretending to be a doctor.
Haha!
Thanks for being here, Matthew.
Patching doesn't work my right eye is still weaker
I'm sorry you had that experience, Oliver! Thank you for sharing your feedback. I hope you can find an exercise that works better for you.
My wife and I just noticed this in our 10 month old baby.
I noticed in mine too... At 10 months
Get it fixed its not easy for people with lazy eyes
@@williambarnes6231 it’s not but it can’t really be fixed.

Would you be able to do a video on ptosis?
I had a frontalis sling procedure due to my congenital ptosis and would love to know more information about it. Thank you Dr. Rupa Wong! :)
Thank you for your suggestion, Mia! I will take note of it. Thank you for subscribing! I am glad you're here.
