- After I made a pallet out of an old coffee, I had to continue the story and make this out of that pallet with other ingredients of course. #palletchallenge

I'm glad I'm not the only one that went to the school of measure 10 times and cut 46 times, great build bud!
Love your irony and honesty about the failures i.e. incorrect calculations, wrong measuring and installing parts the wrong way in first attempt.
Using the head board as a decorative table top is a nice touch. Looks great.
2:28 surely you could glue all those slat slivers into something? Chamferization by table saw, so cunning. Seems the burning temptation to always reach for the router can sometimes be avoided.
What a nifty desk Mark, I like that the legs are hollow which dramatically cuts down on the weight and leaves a space for the hairy grey spiders to creep in and make families. The number of mitres that you cut is staggering and you didn't even cheat (by routing the lines out later) down the edges and you made all those individual squares instead.
It's all there in one funny, informative and inspirational package. Sawdust sliding, slabification, glue uping, cockups, mathification and so much more. If there is one person on the internet that will get people out in the shed and just getting started it's you. Thank you for the hard work that you put into bringing us you videos.
(Edit: I forgot the science, that's not really a table saw, it's actually a mass spectrometer)
Thanks Mark for another great video. Love the desk (and the dog). I giggled all the way through (as usual) - my partner often asks, “Are you watching that pallet guy in Australia again?” 🙂 I plan to get a pallet buster this month and start the journey. Thanks again to an Aussie Bloke from a Welsh bird living in Surrey, England. 👍
This Welsh bloke agrees with you. He cracks me up..🤣🤣🤣
What Mark said, guys. Pallet busters rule!
excellent W.A.N.C ing technique, unorthodox yet satisfying bringing it all to a climatic finish ...you sir are a master W.A.N.C.A thank you
That turned out really great 😃😃👍.
Ah man, what a beautiful staffie at the end!!
LET'S GOOOO MARK! STOKED FOR THIS!
You got the moves fella. Loving that sawdust slide 🤣 and the desk of course 😉
Mark, its Saturday morning here in the UK, and this is a perfect start to my weekend, sipping tea, with my feet on my, Dainer inspired pallet wood coffee table.. The comedy and content you produce is perfect, for a duffer like me, who is forever c**cking, up my calculations. Long may it continue.
"All hail the pallet master" !!!!!!!🙃🙃🙃
Nice build. Great way to use up an old bedhead. I must get palletting.
I'm glad to catch the doggie approved table. This was cool. Thanks for the video.
Love your stuff. You are a great showman as well as a teacher. Keep up the good work. Don't forget to relax.
I love your Bill and Ted art 🖼️ in the background. Your videos are pretty cool too. 👍🏼
Great vid Mark. You absolutely crack me up..🤣🤣
Thought I was the only one that said, “exact-a-mundo”! I guess not! Well done sir!!
Shout out to the pup at the end 🥰🥰
You work hard for the money but the result was just so good well done ol mate
bahahahahaa i am definitely a little shit at cutting mitres. love it mark!
It is so great to see your videos. They are always so positive and friendly. Very informative as well. Please keep doing videos.
Cracking looking desk mate! Great use of the bed head!
Nice one Mark. Good to see the blet sander back in action too.
Greatest acronym ever !! 6:39
Happy to help 🤣
love you mark! great stuff!
Pretty cool project. Did the pup approve of the final outcome? Looked like he was giving it a looksee at the end of the video.
I definitely did not see that end product coming! Some good tips in this one, definitely worth a re-watch for the pallet challenge I think ;)
Haha loved it. Most other YT channels just couldn’t have pulled this off. That Ozzy accent makes it work.
Awesome stuff mate 🤓
@@dainermade 100% bro it’s bloody awesome.
Great job mark!
Always excited to see a new video from you! Thanks for posting and inspiring!
Fuggin noice matey! I honestly had no idea what you were cooking up there. As a bed head that bed head looked like it belonged in the Kardashians 🤣 as a desk, that shit works tremendously !!👌 what a win, Came out lookin like a bought one!
Another great build m8! I’m always excited to see what your next video is going to be and the build you come up with. Your gift is the best! Nice job and great humor! 👍
Great video! I've started building with pallet wood over the last year and have to thank you for the inspiration!
@@dainermade I am, I do. Made a bunch of console / hallway tables. I have slideshows on my channel. You truly do awesome work with the skate boards too! Pallets are super easy to come by. But the skate boards are just dynamic looking!
That looks awesome Mark, great job. Wish i had that headboard, would have filled it with different coloured resins 😀
Another great example of not throwing away wood as it can be used again again again and again 😉😂nice one mark
Many thanks
Rob
MULTIPLE BALLS UPS!
@@dainermade the video?
Im glad someone else thought of this and brought it too life ,Perfect inspiration for my shipping container house !
I Just always have a good time watching you 🤣.. I will watch every one of your videos , every time.. awesome build 💪 brother
Nice build Dainsy. I must be honest and confess that when I saw the bedhead I thought, ''Dainsy must have picked that up off the side of the road, there's no way he'd have one like that'....☺. It seems that was not the case. Never mind, moving right along.... The desk looked amazing. I'm pretty sure the WANCA method has been around in one form or another for a very long time and has been used in many different ways. Anyway mate, keep up the good work. All the best.
Love your presentation style.
@@dainermade mate you've just got a very relaxed, comical and disarming style. Even when you fuck up you just say "Oops, better re-do that!" Love it!
Nice one Mark.
I don't think I'll qualify for the challenge, but I'm making pallet wood cornhole boards for my daughters' families, and I'm having a great time-mistakes, do-overs, pleasant surprises and all! Thanks for your motivating encouragement and creativity.
@Dainer Made Thanks for letting me know. I should have checked the entry details again. The boards are in the final stages. I _did_ remember to "check square"!
Mark, that was a surprising twist at the end, and I'm so glad that you didn't do epoxy etc in that headboard. The glass looks awesome on the table👍
Worked out quite nicely!
Nice job mate!
Cheers from London 👍🏴🇬🇧
Another excellent build mate!
My life issues is under estimating whats needed, Id love 3 times of every tool needed.
worth 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😁😁loved it mate
Bloody awesome mate
G'day Mark....What a great informative vid and great build
Awesome desk!!
That is truly amazing! Love the work
Awesome work Mark. Entertaining as always!
Outstanding work, brother. Love your style
I don't know why I'm encouraging you by pressing the like button, but yeah there you go!
Love it dude! Solid looking table!!
Love it, you've inspired me to get into reclaimed wood projects as a hobby! Funny as always!
had to watch this video again so much fun make my day THANK YOU
Well done mate. Looks awesome 👍.
So we could call this some Flash WANCA and no one would get mad?! Brilliant!
An amazing piece as always! Thank you for the laughs as well! Been needing those. 🙃😎
good job, as always
Excellent looks great
A great piece of repurposing 👍👍
It’s now Saturday in California
Chamferitering is my favorite👍
The wanca technique got me got me in tears here, mate 😂
Heard this technique is very hard to master. Inspiring that you’re up there already 😅😊
Bloody beautiful mate, really like how it turned out.
Thanks Leigh
Great stuff and love the humour 😀 👌
Great job and funny presentation as usual 👍
Interesting, love the way you work 👍👍
Awesome as usual.🤟
Cracking vid mate, you did a grand job
He's back again!🥰🫡 M8 that looks sweet love the recycled bed head desk looks sweet as a nut. I need get my finger out my arse and get pallet challenge done. Been kinda busy getting the shop moved over. But I'll get it. 😬🏴👍
@@dainermade no worries man your letters going in mail on Monday!😲😲
Always, always love these videos, thanks, Mark! Am currently traveling in Mexico, keep looking around to see if their pallets are any different than ours. Hoping to get our biggest pallet project done and filmed in time for your pallet challenge. Deadline is end of March? 🤞🏽
🤣 love the abbreviation 👍
Excellent!! Dang Mark, that is one amazing desk! Definitely a cool project. I too have struggled with my calculations on past projects. I am the proud owner of several sets of 3 coasters because of math, or my lack of being skilled at math!!
Rather enjoyable
You're a hoot! 😄
Nice piece! Feels good seeing woodworking you tubers doing woodworking! You never disappoint!
@@dainermade honestly I have unsubbed from several that have just gotten into tool reviews and stuff like that. The build videos are what gets me watching. I understand that got to do what pays the bills but seems like few and far between are many creators giving us builds to watch.
@@dainermade I agree that you have to tell the story! You and Jesper do great jobs and make it fun and inspiring!
brilliant bit of work and entertainment cobber😀😀😀
@@dainermade the pace is good for me the content is great fun ,interesting, informative and above all its entertaining Love the accecent
Great build. Can't wait to get a table saw, picked up more pallets yesterday and they had 4x4s and even a couple 4x6 on them. Was even able to grab some that weren't pine 😂😂
Energy man
Unreal
Great result, Did we expect anything else
Best dog breed ever
All my, "other ingredients" are always migrating around and getting mixed up with stuff, the other day I meant to make a sawhorse but ended up with a new saw handle! Gonna have to rethink my strategy.
Another great video Mark or as you Aussies say. Maawk. Lol
that is cool
Noice! From Arizona, US.
Cheers mate
You’re such a great watch
You're a drongo! (Observation, not complaint!) Love the vid.
I think the truly passionate woodworkers like your self live for buggering up stuff because that elevates you to the joys of problem solving and then self admiration for the solution. You have quite a selection of colorful (colourful) words. Which is great if you Iive down under, however I suspect that that the majority of us up here are likely missing out on your true wit. May a short cheat sheet of your favorites translated? Or flashed on screen .
A little brain teaser. Where on the planet can you go 1km south, 1km west and then 1km north and end up where you started?
Your not a wanca. You are an owner operator 😂. You still own all your fingers and they sort of operate. Sometimes with a mind of their own but hey 🤷♂️😂 cheers mate
Nice
Have you ever tried making 4x4 (or bigger/wider/thicker) beams out of pallet wood and will they be strong enough to be used in simple construction projects (porch/patio roof...) ?
(beams should be at least 10ft -3m in length)
I think quite a bunch of us are in the measure 2x cut 10x club
At first, I though maybe you were building a dog bed for Freddie. Great video.
*thought
Instead of using a sheet of glass on top of the headboard, you might have been able to fill the voids with epoxy.
Admittedly a lot more work, though.
A lot more work 😆
Do you use the square blocks from the pallets for anything Mark??
Hey mate, what table saw do you use? Looking to get started!
