Thanks, you made the process easy and straightforward. It's frightening to pull 40 feet of house for the first time. :)

I drive a shunt truck all the time but this video was actually very helpful to me as I do realize the differences and it was nice to have someone put them on the web. Good job guys.

Great video --- watched it many times and wrote down the steps to have with us when we picked up our new 5th wheel. We went with the Q16 hitch and your step-by-step guide REALLY helped us to feel at ease for our 1st time hooking up. The only "thing" that I found a bit off in the steps was at about 3:49 in the video where you said to "press the manual activation" on the brake controller and perform the "pull test"..... But, then at 4:20, you mention about attaching the electrical to the truck. I know I'm new to this but I think you probably meant to have the electrical hooked up BEFORE the pull test, otherwise the brake controller would have no effect on the rig. Again, thank you for putting up the video. BTW, the hitch worked flawlessly in its maiden voyage. GO PACKERS!!!!

Thank you so very much. I’m excited to purchase my first 5th wheel. That’s today I believe as long as all goes well.

I’m nervous/excited. Maybe both. Not sure yet. They just pulled in and we’re about to go see it.

I always do a pull test with the legs just off the ground. That way there is no chance of bending the legs.

Great video, although I would be uneasy pulling that large a trailer with a half-ton truck. A 3/4 or even one-ton would be ideal, I believe.

I'm a little confused on the pull test section of the video (after coupling the trailer to the hitch). The instructor is manually applying the trailer brake using the Curt brake control to perform the test, but it is after this in the video that the trailer wiring harness is actually attached to the truck. The wheels are still chocked (in the video), so the trailer doesn't move. But how would the trailer brakes be activated without the wiring harness connected? I'm just learning how to do this, so maybe I'm missing something.

We can understand your confusion, and we apologize for not making it clearer in the video. Once coupled, the trailer wiring harness should be connected in order to perform the pull test. The trailer brakes would not activate without being connected.
