This was INCREDIBLE!🙌🔥 Thank you for this! Color is one of those things where it's easy to know you like something, but then have no idea why or how to create your own😭🙃
The value to time ratio of this video is nuts. So much information packed into 9 minutes. You are an excellent teacher. Thank you for sharing your knowledge - subscribed!
Hey girl hey, love your channel and I have learned so much over the last couple of years from your videos. I actually liked your original video on this because you went more into how to pair them or mix and match the the different tones to make a complete color scheme, which I think is really important.
Hey my dear!! I’m so happy you came to comment! 💜And yes! I agree, this was just a shortened version to introduce new viewers to my color concept, hopefully it gets more people to watch the original, cause that was def the best! ua-cam.com/video/GyVMoejbGFg/v-deo.htmlsi=suqnUSDsabOUSgwQ
Hi, thank you for your tutorial. I'm selecting the primary color from earth tones. Should I also choose error, success, and warning colors from earth tones, with similar saturation and brightness?
I think it can be useful to keep your system colors within the same family but it’s not a requirement. As long as you are intentional about assigning your color roles and sticking with them. Here is how Google does it for their design system m3.material.io/styles/color/roles#e14ecb3a-cd4c-41c6-873c-9313128b762a
If you use high saturation you also need to use high brightness. Just make sure to check your colors with an accessibility checker such as this plugin for Figma - www.figma.com/@kegorr
So how to make all this tone based in color wheel. If i use complementary then i just can 2 color , can i use jewel tone for this 2 color only and use in my entire website as brand color?
Hsb and hsl aren’t uniformly even in lightness, oklch uses perceptual lightness which is closer to how are eyes actually perceive lightness vs hsl and hsb which is more of a computed value

So true. You know THAT you like it but not WHY you like it 😅

Wow. What was that. This something out of this world. Solved a huge problem that always irritated me.
Haha, Really happy to hear that helped 😀
Wait some designers said not to use high saturation in dark mode what should i follow?

Wow thats great 👍
Thank you
I love your videos
Thank you so much! 😊
Are these applicable in photoshop too?
Yes this will work in application where you can switch the color model to HSB
@@DesignerUp thanks a lot❤️ your contents are really informative and helpful.
I was thrilled. Then i looked at the color i wanna use and it didn’t match any family you defined… what now?
What color is it? Share the hex

Is it just me or do the pastel tones look a bit muddy somehow?
Great video btw 👍🏼
