I like the way that females react to videos as opposed to young males because females don't verbalize their appreciation during the process resulting in them not missing out on key points thus having the message disrupted... they communicate through facial expressions and body language which enables them to not miss one word which results in them making a deeper connection.

This is one of the songs from 2Pac I have always related to the most. We had a very difficult time when I was young. She did her best even with her addictions. We lived on the roughest side of town. She ended up marrying a man of means but when he got drunk (which was too often) he beat her. But she put up with it to keep me in a decent home. Eventually they divorced and my mom went into rehab and we moved back to a bigger city where I was born. There's a long, sometimes sad, story in between that but we survived it. It made us stronger. Just like it made 2Pac never forget what his momma had gone through to raise him...

I don't listen to this song often bc it hits my soul everytime I do. Growing up in Brooklyn, N.Y. having my father pass away when I was 8 and my mom having to raise me and my 3 sisters with barely enough to get by living day to day shit was hell. Huggin on my momma from a jail cell, literally.....

I was raised by a strong, single mother and never had any men to look up to. It’s recently bothered me, but I’m working on it. It built a lot of emotions I didn’t realize up until this point. Pac was my male role model. It hurt me when he passed

The reason allot off us lived Pac wasn't just philanthropy and hot music with great movies with a flashy life style but those of us who's lived and living the life his lyrics relate to him spiritually as well.
Allot of these gangsta guys may not admit but I'll spill the beans, allot of us so-called thugs have cried at least one listening to a Pac song reflecting not just on the ugly(thuggin' and social unrest) he also brought attention on the beautiful(family, friends, the fact u still breathe).
He let us know that hey even though your considered the scum of the community someone sees u and u have a voice and you're valued no matter what the media says.

+It'sJust Ya na Ms Afeni wasn't sure who Tupac's father was because she was involved with at least 3 men when Pac was conceived. He thought a man they called Legs (played by Deray Davis in the movie ALL EYEZ ON ME) was his father because he was around the most and he died in prison when Pac was very young so that's why most of his life he thought his father was dead. Ms Afeni was involved with a man named Billy Garland who was in Pac's life until he was 5 years old but Ms Afeni's drug habit and behavior caused him to stop dealing with her and because of that he was told to stay away from Tupac, well he was actually threatened by members of the Panther party so he stayed away. Mr Garland kept track of Tupac and his career through media and a friend of the family but never contacted Ms Afeni or Pac. When Tupac was robbed and shot in New York in 1994 Mr Garland heard it on the radio and rushed from his hometown in New Jersey and went to the hospital. He saw Pac and told him about everything. Pac forgave him for not being in his life and they slowly started to get to know each other but Pac was in prison most of that time so their time together was limited. When Pac was released from prison they didn't see each other or speak much. When Pac was shot in Vegas Mr Garland rushed to see him once again and was heartbroken. After Tupac died Mr Garland took a paternity test and it proved once and for all that he was indeed Tupac's biological father.

I always liked this song, but it's harder to listen to these days since my mom passed a month after my 21st birthday, and I always treated her like shit, but she never gave up on me up to the very end, and even tho I had both parents, we were still very poor, my dad use to duct tape the soles on his shoes so me and my brother could have clothes and food, so I can't imagine how hard it would be to be the only one raising a child, mother or father
