    Pac is, for me and many others, the truest representation of Hip Hop. Love to see when others make an effort to understand this form of expression called "rap".

    It’s real simple: he loves his mother no matter what. That’s called Unconditional Love.

  • @MC-zh3sd

    He’s saying despite all their troubles and all the outside sources that are affecting them as people separately and together, he loves her and appreciates how she handled struggle.
    Tupac’s mom was a very intelligent woman who was a Black Panther. She taught Tupac to appreciate art, history, and activism but she also had her own struggles a lot due to being Black in America... something that Tupac could understand later in life because he found himself in similar situations. This song is coming from a place where a man is seeing his mother as a flawed human being not just the villain or superhero he saw her st certain times when he was a kid. Meaning he sees how strong she was to raise him so well with her own human flaws, that he understands a mother can be many things at once.

    In the beginning he was explaining how they had troubles when he was younger and didn’t understand his mother’s efforts. He didn’t appreciate her then and this song is his message saying he does now and acknowledges everything she did

    Wow this just goes to show how different people realities are. If you grew up in a tough neighborhood this song talks to you at a much deeper level, you wouldn't be sitting there trying to figure out what each line could mean because you feel his pain ,, you feel his hopelessness and disappointment his emptiness and somewhere hidden in there you feel his little joy and happiness. You dont analyze this type of song you feel it...or not...if you do it feels like the words are coming from you personally and you know exactly what every single line means. Just saying

    My request: 2pac - Life Goes On
    This one definitely tugs at the heart strings when dealing with grief of any sort. It's made me cry a couple times, but it is also healing at the same time.
    Good job approaching the other side of 2Pac. If you liked this song, you'll like a lot of his catalogue.
    Some jams were strictly for the party scene, some were obviously when he was pissed off and he wasnt afraid to say names. Some songs he's very militant and you can see his Black Panther background clearly, and some were just to uplift, show love to his community, and humans as a whole... but he's one of the most multi-faceted hip-hop artists of all time, if not the most. He was involved in a lot of different types of records.
    I think you'll grow to appreciate majority of his art.

  • @sunnyreal2688
    @sunnyreal2688 5 років тому +7

    Yes not singing a song to make his mom sound perfect, it's called Art, he's expressing himself and the facts about his life, which is as real as any other person, all families have problems.

    There is not one bad feeling towards his Mother in this song. He loved and respected his Mother above All others. No matter how big the struggle, she All ways pulled through. You can only live your life forward and understand it backwards. And thats what he knows now as an adult.

There’s so much more to know about him and I hope you guys dig deep into his life! I’m new to the channel I I’ll be following you guys on your new journey!

    I'm sorry to come so straight forward, but I don't think you guys do a good analysis of music. You seem to instantly put your biased judgement on the song before you even got to get into it. You misunderstood some of what you said. I think you guys need to listen to it a few times to be able to comprehend the whole story. His music is complex, but it shouldn't be this hard to understand, even if you don't come from that background.

      This part is tough because we are genuinely listening to the music for the first time and react as we go. Obviously the meaning of what we hear first can change and so can our perception. After we do this we both usually listen again several times to really understand. And we do struggle with whether or not to read something about the song beforehand or not since it might change a real blind viewing.

    I'm shocked on how white people dont understand. I'm not in anyway against any race. I'm hispanic and this son hit me because I can relate to what hes saying. Black and Mexican people are similar in any ways. Disagree or not but that's FACT. They are both similar. Why not all get along is beyond me. The struggle is almost the same. The song has a message and the fact that they are lost and saying that in the beginning is now different then the other half is tripping me out. The song isnt going in many directions. Yaboydred honestly, when he was alive most white folks did like him at all. Especially the adults at that time. It seems that his popularity with white people didn’t take hold until after he died. After his death he pulled off a major crossover. MTV went nuts playing his videos. While he was alive he was so “controversial” that many radio stations avoided him just like NWA. Controversial = speaking up for black folks who couldnt do so for themselves. Then he was murdered and pretty much went icon on us. man, we really could use someone like him now.
