  • If you’re just getting into bass fishing, Alamo Lake is a great place for beginners to try their hand at catching some beautiful Arizona largemouth bass. There is an abundant, healthy population of fish in the lake and during the annual spawn (March-April) the Alamo Lake bass move into shallow water to build nests and breed. Because the bass are shallow and closer to shore they’re more accessible shore anglers! There is plenty of partially submerged cover at Alamo within easy casting distance of shore, and tons of opportunities for shore anglers to catch bass in and around it…Join Neil for a fun morning of largemouth bass fishing at Alamo Lake. He’ll share an important tip that works when fishing for almost any species, plus show new bass anglers how to hold bass without causing injury, and how to release them to fight another day.

What twisted thinking, "Put the fish back so someone else has a chance to traumatize it". If you aren't fishing to feed yourself, then you shouldn't be fishing. Sport fishing is no better than hunting other animals for sport. It's stupid and abusive.

You do realize we CPR to preserve the hatcheries right? You realize us "sportsmen", considering I'm a lady angler actually am more for catching n releasing unless they're injured beyond. I don't need to feed my family. I need to support these parks so families can continue to fish and enjoy it for years to come. You take fish home, You realize alot of the bass we DO return are spawners and we want them to reproduce. So quit comparing us to sport trophy hunters.
