- Lake Alamo Start Park Lakeside Campground Winter Camping while living in a truck camper. My name is Larry and Im a solo nomad living in a 30 year old vintage remodeled truck camper primarily in Arizona. I stop and check out some cacti and spot a geocache on the way to the lake. Once arriving at the lake I check out the dock and boat ramp then drive over to the Bill Williams lookout. After a night of visiting a couple friends by the campfire I work on a camper project of hanging lights above the sleeping area. I wake up early to make a cast iron breakfast then head out to fish. Unfortunately due to high winds we didn't catch any fish.

I lived in Arizona twice. Once in Mesa/Tempe when I was like 4-5yrs. Then again in 7th grade, North Phoenix. The first time was when my family left Los Angeles. I've been all over. I'm out by Dallas now. It definitely has it's own beauty there. Being on the east side of N.Tx, it's more lush...aka: humid, lol.

Oh, yeah, for sure! This is by far my favorite state in the United States. I travel to almost all of them before deciding to move here. I just really feel at home here in the desert, and of course, I love the weather when it’s not too hot!

I enjoy watching your channel Larry. Your videos take me to places ive never been. I have never seen a cactus and real life, those things look savage! I cus picking raspberries....can't imagine stepping on a cactus! I appreciate you taking the time to show me around!

I really hate cacti and any plants that has thorns. I love a green luscious landscape, lakes rivers and shady forests.
Video made perfect sense to me! A chance to get out to some place new and meet up with friends, easy to understand and enjoy.

I honestly thought this video was gonna be a total flop because the video footage I shot was so sporadic so I made that outro and then after about 14 hours of editing I managed to put the story together pretty decently but had no other outro to use haha 😂 oh well 🤷

Really like your travel videos. The slot canyon was amazing. Found this looking for the lake videos with the pastor of the Journey church. Wish UA-cam would list videos in the order they were posted. Those cacti are interesting.

I know that one cacti as a Jumping cholla cactus and they do jump, don’t let you or your dogs too close or you will understand.

Good to see you posting again! I've never seen cacti that big before! It is definitely a different landscape to what I am used to up here in the PNW....I can only imagine how much the wind whips up on such flat areas.
