@@jenkelton6414 I've only been to Alamo twice so I'm no expert but fishing in October should be really good. Can't go wrong throwing out a dropshot but I'll bet topwater will be good that time of year. Fish off the points, move around a lot, and look for structure underwater best you can. Good luck!
Your video convinced me to hit alamo this weekend. Damn near every single cast had a hit on top water. Most of them above 2 lbs, biggest was 3.2lb. Ive fished every lake around phoenix, none of them even compare
Used a similar soft body toad with great success at at Roosevelt last weekend. I couldn’t find the rage toad so I used the zoom horny toad. Such a fun bite! Can’t wait to try the rage toad here in a few days. Amazing fishing, almost makes me want to take the 3 hour trip to Alamo!
Man, that's awesome! Frog fishing is so exciting. My next video is from Alamo. I caught over 30 bass! No frog fishing, but a lot of topwater. Worth the trip for sure.

BFS combo. I use Kastking Zephyr reels and a variety of BFS rods from Shimano, Dobyns, & Old 18. All rods are 7ft, 1-piece.

Good stuff.. you using an EWG or straight shank? And what size?
Thank you! I used a 5/0 EWG hook. Sometimes the bait would run upside down but it didn't seem to impair the action nor the hookup ratio at all.
