Nice video, I did weymouth as well and it was my first ever 70.3. Like you only had done 2 sprints before. Had an aim of under 6 hours as well. Was on target for under 3 hour on the bike by the 70km mark and then had a puncture which took 30mins to change as I lost my tool to take off my wheel at the 20km mark. Had issue with quad cramps on the bike which meant I wasn’t able to stand on my bike going up that big hill! This was all despite probably drinking at least 2 litres of fluid with electrolytes. Run is my worst part and took 2:35. Already signed up to go bigger and do the ROC trilogy next year.
Thanks mate! That's so awesome. Gutted you got a puncture, I was thinking the entire way round I would be lucky not to get one. I had one tube and a canister, so bit of a gamble and I struggle with the rims I've got ha. You did good to change it. Cramp is a nightmare, did you take a decent amount of sodium? Just had to Google ROC trilogy. That looks insane 🤣
So motivational this! Made my signup for my first 70.3 in june. Question: how do bike aid stations work? You have to drive through? Refill your own bottles? Or everyone stops for a drink? Couldnt find any info on this...

Amazing 🔥 more like the first one, but they have full bottles for you to take. I didn’t actually use the aid stations
Congrats Alex. Did you need a permit to park in Weymouth college on raceday or was it open access?
Thanks, are you doing it this time round? Pay on the gate, they were set up for it from early!
Did you get any money back?! That's an expensive duathalon
