Hey Courtney! Would love to know more about getting a suitable bike. I am a 5'3 woman. I keep hearing something about the bike frame size... is that something I need to consider before getting a bike on facebook?
Hi Sarah! Great question. We are actually filming a video in a couple weeks all about bike fits. Yes, you want to look up the frame size of that specific brand you are considering buying on FB, and see what height is recommended. If a bike is too big or small, it can cause pain, knee/hip injuries and hamper your run off the bike. You probably need a 152-160cm sized frame (also called extra small). I highly recommend a bike fit at your local bike shop once you get your bike. Nothing fancy, just have someone make sure your seat and bars are where they should be. Good luck!
I think it’s a personalized preference. When given the option, I will always choose polarized due to better riding visibility, especially on sunny days. But, you don’t have to have them. I would practice riding with your sunglasses and see which ones you prefer :)
Ok so it is possible to take it off, go to the bathroom and then zip it back up? Some UA-camrs refer to this as very difficult to do and no demonstrations of it anywhere. Thank you! Great vids
I don’t think ww truly know what causes it. But, many triathletes I know have them every once in a while. Even triathletes who have been doing the sport for years. Personally, I have never had one if I am not wearing a wetsuit. I think it has to do with the constriction of wetsuits (for me).
Haha it seems to be the case! 😆 Hopefully my tips helped others to get creative. That way they can save money and put that money towards more races 🤣🤣🤣
As a SUPER beginner to triathlons, your videos are SO HELPFUL! Thank you so much!

on the subject of sunglasses. you said polarized lenses are really important. How are they important for tri?
I am pulling from a purely cycling experience where polarization does not make a difference. so im curious how polarization is important in tri

Is it possible to go to the bathroom in the triathlon kit?
Great question: yes. The pros do it! Me personally, I find a portable potty :) But I am no pro lol

A panick attack on the Wetsuit? How come?
