The mirror imagery of Raising the Flag hit me too. I also take it as how some people take something beautiful and meaningful that speaks to all people then twist into something ugly to serve their own agendas. It's perverse, but with purpose. I believe the symbolism is meant to hit hard, or at least get people thinking.

In a recent concert he was so surprised by how many people agreed with the lyrics that he said it was solidified now in his mind. People are finding out that a lot of metal heads have never liked the direction the country’s been going the last couple years and when it comes to cancel culture in general. We are ready for some music that speaks the truth and holds a mirror up to Society.

There's so many little easter eggs in this. There's conspiracy dude in the beginning calling all the zombies and then walking away. There's Zombie Karen pointing out another zombie. The newspaper, the Uncle Sam poster, The mic stand getting thrown (referencing ppl hating on Ronnie for throwing mic stands), the F*** Ronnie Radke Tshirt guy (A real dude), the American flag being raised by Zombies. Zombie apocalypse, turning to alien invasion, turning to a Kaiju at the end pointing that the sh*t show America is right now...

The part with the flag was described by another reactor as these are the new individuals America is painting as brave and/or who are calling themselves brave.

@@CarlosWadeMusicAnd how do you even fix it? I think that a fair share of the our inability to lift ourselves out of things as a society is because we’re all so overwhelmed. And then the pandemic happened and just added to the load. It’s such a toxic mixture of apathy, anger, and internet-fueled self-righteousness. It makes me sad for humanity. We are so lucky to have the cognitive ability to create, exchange ideas, speak languages, move around our world, etc., and to watch us constantly squander our humanity is existentially depressing.

Yeah that's already one of my favorite breakdowns of all time. I also served and that Iwo jima flag raising used to give me chills but seeing it with the zombies pulling it down it made me sick but it also deeply disturbed me. Thank you for your service homie great reaction

This was absolutely amazing ❤️🔥 I don’t know how Ronnie and FIR manage to keep outdoing themselves. I thought that depiction of Iwo Jima was really strong too. I’ve never served, but I know the significance, and put into this video the way it was conveyed a pretty clear message. Ronnie never caves to the hate or the cancelling attempts. He seems to feed on it. Like it energizes him and feeds his artistry. I don’t think he wants it, but if he’s getting it he’s going to use it. I said on Twitter the other day that anyone who doesn’t realize yet that Ronnie feeds on the hate and shits gold needs to catch up 😂 I’m sure by now you’ve noticed the F Ronnie Radke shirt and the mic stand reference lol Everything about this and your reaction was awesome! I really liked this song. Despite the fact that i am in another country, i sometimes get tired of this stupid culture of canceling everything that someone doesn't like. And i'm really looking forward to him releasing a full album.

Funny thing is, just like the people that got zombified in this video, those 'cancel culture' people won't even think that they are a part of that. They probably just said 'oh yeah those people sucked'.
Dude Rap isnt my go too, but Ronnie opened me to Tom Macdonald ( America, Snowflakes and Brainwashed) have the message Ronnie is conveying. I heard they were going to go out on a tour a few years back, I assume Covid ruined it.
Yeah Tom Macdonald is is something else too haha. I think there is bad rap but also amazing rap and Ronnie is absolutely amazing IMO. His story, his creativity and talent and his lyrics make it all happen for me.

The sad thing of the "message" from this song is: I doesn´t only affect you guys in the US... i live in germany and it also fits very well on my country.

If you are a fan of FIR I highly recommend checking out ice nine kills they got alot of really good songs most of them are based off of horror books and movies some of its a bit heavy but most of it is similar to Ronnie's style

Hey man from 5:00 to 6:00 min you had me feeling some way man. I am just an ordinary civilian, I've never served, seen action, or any of the thousands of things any service member has seen that would break any normal person. But I could just see in your eyes even though you did a good job holding it in I could see hurt there, and it got to me. This country is in a sad state right now,( for many a reasons) and you really just nailed it. People right now just don't understand the sacrifice that our past generations have given for us to be able to even have the right to do half the things they do. People are so spoiled rotten these days without even realizing. Even if you live on the streets and are addicted to drugs and have to bounce from home to home to home, or live in your car. You still have it better than literally a lot of places in the world. But im not going to rant on any longer.

As a veteran myself, I too took the flag scene to heart. However; did you notice when Ronnie conducted the salute in the video, it was with the left hand (A commentary on the progressive political climate? Not sure). Either way, the message of the cancel culture, which no one has been brave enough to address, is so apparent in the lyric and the video. God bless, Carlos. [After re-watching the video, during the zombies at the American flag pole scene; were the zombie attempting to raise the flag or tear it down? It was such a short clip I could not tell].

You nailed the message behind the imagery of the iconic flag raising at Iwo Jima in this video. It’s so profound and damnit do I respect you for speaking to it. Some other reviewers mention it believing it was from a movie or something and kind of shrug it off. No! This image captured in time was a profound statement of freedom, sacrifice and American courage. The portrayal of this imagine in this video is as disturbing and disgusting of a statement to today’s America as it was meant to be. It was deliberate and meant to be impactful. You are a dying breed sir. You serve. You understand. We owe you and all the men and women who have gone before us a debt of gratitude and it’s being washed away by the corruption of government and culture. It’s sad. Let’s keep fighting the good fight because it’s worth it.
