Like if you want to see Sean and Chili Klaus eat another Reaper
I don’t care what they do as long as it’s Sean and Chili Klaus on camera together. Love that guy, love their friendship.
I love the finger snapping @1:35 It immediately made me think of Chili Klaus!
Yes eat 2 each this time
40 likes in 4 min? Better get ready now Sean!
This is easily the worlds best interview show. Currently or otherwise.
“The older I get , there’s this familiarity with the pain of being human” What a poet.
The Irish. They’ve got a way with words.
Yes! He’s Irish. They’re all so insightful.
That hits home in a big way
Very Irish thing to say
That comment really got me, too as a 54 year old woman. After losing my mom 10 years ago and losing my husband almost 2 years ago, the pain of life is real and humbling.
Didn't realise he was such an introspective person, but man, what a genuine person.
Ya rehab makes you take a look inward
He also can do 45 degree eyebrows.
I NEVER MISS
He's chill.
@@trump45and2zig-zags Rehab is for quitters.
22:30 I just caught the fact Sean said “a free meal from a stranger at an Irish pub” instead of “a free drink” which shows he knows Colin is sober and didn’t want to make him feel awkward about that. Sean is literally the best.
Thanks for pointing that out. Sean doesn’t just ask the best questions, but in the best way!
Oh wow, didn't catch that. The man is just he best at what he does!
Pandering, at its finest. Sean knows how to be inoffensive for the sake of a good interview, which speaks volumes to his ability as a host. Doing the job right
Lol...food is a better love language regardless a stranger in a Bar or at home etc
They definitely do the research, Sean definitely delivers it great
He's hilarious, humble, so kind, and intelligent. He's an incredible actor but he's also an awesome human
that's so interesting to hear, Wonderful to hear from such a delightful fan as you ☺️ We're u streaming from?
Summed it up beautifully.
@@wre1989 thank you 🙂
I know it's not a factor to being a good person, but being handsome/charming could be added to that list as well!
He's so handsome and so kind a fantastic actor!! I loved him on scrubs, horrible bosses and SWAT!! But his most amazing work was the Banshees of Inisherin!! So wonderful!!
“Really?? You got 5 million doing one ‘for them’. So generous.”
I loved him mentioning this, dont hear a lot of actors do so. What a genuinely pleasant interview!
Hello
That bit had me dying!
yeah that got me. ive really liked him as an actor and now i like him as a person. id love to work with him.
Yeah hearing that made me love him even more
Tbh the fact that no one has been excited about colin showing up on Leno ect but they're super excited about him being on hot ones seams to be high praise. Hot ones is an amazing show to watch especially to binge through the catalog.
(In Nic Cage Bulging Forehead)
*That's HIGH PRAISE*
Let's go!!!!!!!
Leno 😂😂
Only people over 50 still like late night shows and the fact that you get to see your friend brother or father struggling with death sauce is more exciting than boring old questions and banter
makes so much sense! late night shows offer no real depth, 5 minute fluff interviews, and a very clear artifice, hot ones is the opposite in every way
It was so genuine when Colin mentioned he appreciated it when people ask him for recommendations of places to go in Ireland. "I get to go back for a second. It's lovely"
Yeah, wish they did a follow-up on that tbh
at 4:34 when Colin says it's a nice question I just love Sean's slight smile. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in getting that compliment (which he deservedly gets a lot)
Absolutely, Sean asks some thoroughly introspective questions that no other interviewers in any forum ask
“Why would we go beyond insanity on a Tuesday morning?” Is probably my favorite Colin quote of all time
And he had a lot of others in this as well!!
Loved the shout out to Chili Klaus as well. Brilliant episode!
Well... just as its sang... "going up! On a Tuesday!"... so ya know.

Never knew much about Colin Farrell but 7 minutes in and I find him such a refreshing, eloquent, expressive personality. Lovely questions, Sean! As usual
If you want to keep that image of him....don't Google his sx tape lol
I'm impressed. He has come a Long way. He has a Hemingway style of using adjectives and adverbs. With his Happy Irish Accent he sounds more poetic.🍀
Agree with this comment
The Irish seem to have this laid back, no BS attitude, I like it.
Ya me2
Sean seems so sweet & empathetic. That's probably why he's a great journalist - he's interested in & excited about seeing things from differing perspectives
You get the sense it’s not just a job for him, he’s getting to meet people he probably has at one time or another idolised and it truly shows in the great questions he asks
Excellent questions, too.
@@jeetywheety7008 Yep, I think it's his calling. The hot wings are just the gimmick to get people to watch.
I love how he went from the bad boy of Hollywood to one of the best actors working right now. I always look forward to checking out his projects.
He was always a good actor, it just feels like he let go of the ego film a bit and that makes room for so much more.
"Have you built up a tolerance or is it just a familiarity with the pain so you know what to expect?" fantastic life lessons with Colin Farrell
I think it's both. As a fellow Sean who always eats spicy stuff, experience and expectations can go a long way in how you react to spice.
Unless its Da Bomb, I expected the worst and it was even worse than that.
@@drinfernodds for sure you definitely do build up a tolerance. I've been eating spicy and doing challenges for about 20 years and definitely can handle more easily than I used to. Paqui One Chip Challenge 2021 was super easy for me, the 9 million schoville chocolate didn't make me sick either haha but I love Torchbearer sauces and Last Dab sauces regularly, anything with super heat as long as it isn't full of cheap capsaicin oil.
The expectation and knowing what's going to happen and mentally preparing for it for sure keep you from being as affected too
I love Colin Farrell as an actor and seeing how genuine and down to earth he his I absolutely want to see a movie with him right now.
Watch the movie In Bruges. Personally my favorite Colin Farrell movie.

I'm happy beautiful movies like this still exist. I enjoyed it, and those landscapes ❤️ I hope he wins an Oscar for that.
Beautiful movie! Acting is sublime by all players
Thanks for the recommendation.
I'm afraid to watch it bc of the sadness. I know I'd love the characters and I don't know if I'd ever recover. 😢
I love that Colin seems genuinely interested in Sean too. He seems so great and friendly
This has been said many, many, many, many, of times, but when the guest tells Sean that he ask them great or interesting questions, that's just an awesome compliment, and I always love seeing that.
And we see it so often.
Whenever a guest compliments his questions I always feel genuinely happy for him
May every guest continue to praise Sean and the Hot Ones team. They do such a phenomenal job every episode!
I am pretty sure it has become a but mainstream recently. Some of the guests do not entirely feel spontaneous, but as if they waiting for the first chance to compliment the deeper questions. Happens when you become popular, which this how deserves.
Me too-absolutely brilliant - the levels of research then construction of the question and how well he delivers it - there’s nothing like it around
He is so charming and personable. He always seems like you could have a pint with him.
An alcohol free pint
My brother had plenty of pints with Colin when he drank back in Dublin…
Maybe water…
“Imagine being number 13?!” 😂
This guy is an absolute legend.
This guy went through a crazy time in his life, and just like Robert Downey Jr. I am SO GLAD to see that he came out of it and continues to give us some gems!
True
He had a kid with complex special needs, realised he needed to put his demons behind him and step up as a father, got a lot of respect for him as a man.
It’s not how you start it’s how you finish….
Kept thinking this too!
I respect that Colin actually ATE the wings. He didn't just take one bite; he ate them like it was his job!
Right??? It drives me crazy when a ton of the guests just take a tiny nibble lol

In Bruges is honestly one of my all time favourite films, and Colin's performance in it is out of this world. So glad it got a shout out, here! Defintely going to check out After Yang as well, sounds like my kind of movie.
The most underrated movie ever. I love love the whole cast.
Yesss!!! There it is!!! I was scrolling down for this.
I was so happy when he said that In Bruges was the film he gets the most props for back home. In Bruges will forever be dear to my heart, my brother showed it to me when I was young and it helped spark my love for movies. I watched it at least once a summer for so many years. Gotta go back to it soon.
Agreed, in my head I was like “it has to be In Bruges! It has to be!”
Such a good movie. Definitely one of Colin Farrell's best.
The combination of Farrell's quick wit, intelligence, and general empathy on display here, in the midst of escalating discomfort just makes me admire him and his work all the more.

It’s not just that, I’m sure if you were in Dublin and he was there he’d be just a regular guy having a pint and a laugh. Not every actor needs to ground themselves now and again but there are definitely some that should do so they can fit their head through the door.

Best Hot Ones episode to date! Hands down. The fact that Colin mimicked Chili Klaus and he was so perfect while doing it, not only shows he's a great actor but, man, this is a great day for this community. Next: Sean, Colin and Chili Klaus eating Carolina reaper while a mariachi band is serenading them.
I‘m praying for this to happen🙏🏼
This is by far one of the best interviews on Hot Ones. The best questions + answers + exchanges.
100% I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end! Of all the episodes I've seen this one delivers it all and then some. It's a "HOT ONE"!
Colin absolutely killed it. Man ate the entirety of each wing, no nibbles whatsoever like a true Irishman.
This was hands down one of the biggest surprises for me in terms of expecting a certain personality/attitude from a celebrity and then seeing their true self. What a great, down-to-earth guy Colin is! A really enjoyable episode.
Just my thought!!! I couldn’t believe it
@@jorgefaleromazziotti1174 I could always tell he is a sweetie.

Exactly, I totally agree.
he has an special needs child and I think that changes a man when they are hands on
Colin is one of the few I've seen not only able to just eat these wings but just be amazingly awesome at the same time. He seems like someone you could hang with and have a good time.
what i love about this interview is you can feel both shaun and collin's love for what they do. Shaun gets to ask these really interesting questions that allow for expansive answers and Collin relishes giving them, deconstructing why he loves acting, what the roles mean, how playing in makeup changes his performance and gives him freedom. The Spicy Pain helps
Colin is a legend, I know he took a little hiatus in the 2010s didn’t do many large motion pictures, but he was so brilliant in banshees I’m just very happy he’s back, I often turn to clip of an interview he did in 2008 with Jonathan Ross where he delves deep on his addiction issues and depression and you really get to see how truly brilliant he is. Colin is a warm, hilarious, lighthearted, and kind man. He's effusive and expressive without a hint of being Hollywood. He is just wonderful. Great interview. Sean Killin it.
What really stood out for me on top of what you are describing is the intelligence of the man. He seems like such a bright mind, who thinks very deeply and is able to express himself in an excellent way. That has been eye opening to me. That is another aspect I love about these interviews, how Sean always finds a way to provide a platform where the guests can give whatever they want to in their own way. And Colin delivers. For me personally, this is the best Hot Ones, due to the way Colin formulates his thoughts. Such an interesting mind, and a lovely fellow.
Has Sean ever gotten an award for his great interviewing skills?...if not he should!
@@ladyylorr I don't think he did, sadly. At the same time, the rising popularity of his interview and the continuous high profile guests on his show - some of which expressed that they themselves wanted to be a part of it - talk louder than any potential awards. @@thebluerose4179 but the complaints will come with a wonderful way with words and vocabulary lol at least that’s my experience as a brit
@@thebluerose4179 Weird take, must be the people you surround yourself with
@The Blue Rose, as it is everywhere, you can find exceptions to any generalised description. Of the assorted friends I have living across Ireland, my description suits them. You and yours may be different. I'm sure every country has its share of fake, miserable people. Sorry that you include yourself with that. I wish you a more optimistic, tolerant life in the future.
Beauty represented in one man : Colin
Such a humble genuine person. Probably one of my favorite guests
this show has come a long way since season 1... except Sean's questions, they're just as top tier as always
I miss people asking what is Sean doing when he shakes the last bottle. Lol
You should go back and watch the Anthony Rizzo episode, it's pretty rough.
@@drasticbread249 Sean’s questions were still good. Rizzo just wasn’t into it.
give this man an award already!!! most entertaining interview show on the world wide web!!!
@@keatonparker4789 Go back and watch, Sean asked him what it was like when Will Farrell appeared in a spring training game, and he just goes "I wasn't there." You can almost sense Sean is thinking to himself that he needs to research questions better from now on.
This guy was not at all what I was expecting. So articulate, down to earth and human. As always, Sean did a great interview.
@Karl with a K if you're interested go watch some of his old catalogue. Despite his reputation, he's got some gems.
@Karl with a K Try 'In Bruges' if you haven't already, very dark, very funny.
@Karl with a K He actually has been in some really smart movies
How could you watch this and not immediately become a Colin Farrell fan?
Probably one of your best guests! Such an authentic person who seemed genuinely happy to answer questions with such honesty. Really looks like the kind of guy you'd want to hang out with. Great pick!
I love how this show has built the reputation over the year. The guests spread the word about quality questions and hospitality of Sean to their friends in the industry.
I never EVER imagined Colin to be so down to earth. I wish Sean did one of his deep dives. This interview will be one of my favorites.
Love that bit! Beautifully put words.
same sentiments!
He's always been like this. I think Irish culture puts a premium on basic authenticity. They're generally very personable people.
Really? This is him in every interview.
Always liked Colin Farrell. He brings this gregarious energy to his work and appearances. You always forget that he’s been around for a while, I first saw him in minority report which is twenty years old this year!
Now he’s playing the penguin in batman and he’s amazing! I also loved him as bullseye in daredevil. He seems so down to earth, the type of dude you could just have a pint with and a chill.
“Da bomb” always seems to bomb em! Lol. Watchin Colin’s reaction to that was hilarious! He meant business and cussed a blue streak! lol
on another note: I love when they seem to connect with Sean because I find him extremely likeable and that little moment when Sean goes: alright Colin Farrell and Colin asks him for his surname was just cool to me
As an Irish man, it’s great to see how well Colin Farrell has done. He is a brilliant talent with poetry in his soul.
im amazed how well educated he is. i remember papers hating him and boycotting him in early 2010's
you guys produce some of the best.
When I saw him in Phonebooth and then play Bullseye in Daredevil as a 13 yr old I loved him! Idk what it is about him but you can tell he puts his best into everything he does. Its refreshing to see him as himself here. Also funny to see that he (seems like to me) exaggerated his Irish accent as Bullseye. Here his accent seems decently mild. Unless he's lost it a little through the years. Anyhow, love this man. Very genuine.
Colin Farrell out here cleaning those wings! No little bites. He's also such a humble interview.
16:50 "King of the Dab" Busted a gut laughing at that one. Brill.
"The older I get, the more I get familiar with the pain of life" one of the most profound statements I've heard in a long time.
The Irish are very philosophical.
Not trying to be a contrarian or anything, but thats not really that deep of a statement.
@@rebel107 True. Maybe jtrix34 would enjoy some Schopenhauer.
@@rebel107 The fact that is not that deep somewhat made it deep. for in its simplicity the meaning just strikes you more frankly.
It’s up there with Bob Seger’s “wish I didn’t know now what I didn’t know then.” Simple, succinct and universal.
He is UNRECOGNIZABLE as the Penguin and I cannot wait to see his performance. Thanks for coming on Colin and keep up the great work Sean!
He‘s excellent as the penguin, I can tell you that!
That is some Gary Oldman and Christian Bale levels of dedication tbh. Gotta like actors that go that extra mile. Batman actors love doing whatever it takes I guess xD
Why this show never had been thought of in the past, I will never understand.
KILLED it as Penguin. Did such a great job. Everyone in the movie did, really. But particularly him, Dano, and Kravitz. They all shined.
Dude i didnt know he was the penguin
Been rewatching all previous Hot Ones to hold me over as new Hot Ones are uploaded. I must comment again on how big Sean made it as he had Colin Farrell on, who has a son that watches the show, as well as other celebrities who watch Sean. Simply epic.
You know what would be epic as well? Having underrated actor Sam Rockwell on Hot Ones. Make it happen please1
Six minutes in and it’s already in one of the most insightful interviews I’ve ever witnessed. Great job to all of involved 🤘
Colin genuinely seems like one of the most enthusiastic guests on the show recently and i love him for it.
Right? Authentic energy. Pretty much oppo of Ed Helms a few weeks ago.
@@charleslonger I swear! This was really fun to watch and you can tell he appreciated the questions aswell.
