here to sing the praises of these boots! i wear a size 12us and the 11uk fit perfect. the great barrier soft toe was the boot i went with and didn't want to take them off at the end of the day...and i usually immediately switch into a pair full leather moccasins by ll bean when i do. these boots are quiet too for me that's a huge bonus. nothing gayer than being the squeaky boot guy. my feet aren't as wide as most but this boot has a great toe box with room to wiggle. these boots don't slide around on your foot either they seem to hug just right and feel great going up and down steep ramps and stuff that would usually annoy my toes in a less snug boot. working in an industry that racks up the steps* in a single day i highly recommend these boots. it doesn't get much better for a 195$ price tag and made by one of our brothers in arms. side note a got a bunch of compliments on them though i much prefer a laced boot if we are talking pure* aesthetics. thanks Redbacks
Light hiking yes, but if heavier trails or climbing I would go to something a little more structural like a KEEN or Merrell. You can find them all at www.Shoetopia.ca
@@shoetopiacanada ok. I work in public works as a laborer. The mechanic in the repair shop who just started and is an old timer wears Redbacks’s. They look comfortable and I asked him. He said he’s been wearing them for years and won’t get anything else.
Hey I normally wear a US 10. I know they recommend me to purchase a 9. But I am wondering if I should go half a size lower? What do you recommend? Do they run big?
Redback boots are rubbish. I had a new pair that totally failed after three days use in the bush. The heel and sole came apart, leaving me stranded...that heavens for fabric tape. In my experience you cannot trust these boots to be reliable.

Hey, do you think they will be great with a bit of hiking as well? Any other boot recommendations under 250-300$ ?

Are the waterproof?
They aren't rated waterproof unfortunately, most people will put mink oil on them in order to render them water resistant.
So if I wear a size 8 in us would I still get a size 8 us
Size 7 AUS is a size 8 US Men's Mason
Shipping to Europe ?
No, sorry, only to Canada. You should be able to find them there though if you look locally!
What type of work are these boots for?
Around here, a lot of tradespeople use this type of boot. It’s popular for factory work as well Marc.

I work in a shop as a mechanic. For years went through boots and shoes every 6/8 months. I can get 2/3 years out of these. On pair 6 right now.
@@roymcalister1878 Love to hear it!

They're Australian. This means the half size is just a wider version of the said size.
I would order 9 and throw and insole in. That's what I did and they've got great for the past 10 years.
The Australian sizing is down a US size ,
So a us 10 is Aus 9
