- Over the course of filming MythBusters and Tested, Adam has worn one style of work boot that is suited for almost every environment production takes him: Blundstones. Today's tool tip -- which was requested by Tested member Christopher Fong -- is about why Adam loves these boots, and what the last pair he wore while filming MythBusters looks like!

Without a doubt the most comfortable boots - and until laces became mandatory in the offshore oil and gas industry are Jalatte boots. Everyone in the offshore world loved them because they were so comfortable. I say that being English and Jalatte boots are French which, is kind of painful. They are sold globally but here's the UK site. www.safetybootsuk.co.uk/safety-boots/jallatte?gclid=CjwKCAiAo5qABhBdEiwAOtGmboSEZRPDD31po8EFttv1QsoURXQ-XHLRhedt_gSNIMtKh7HvSVoUGxoC91oQAvD_BwE
what model does adam use for day to day use? The one linked is the black style. thanks
I had to go weigh my boots to find out 1.6lb Low Keen Flint 2 Waterproof Steel toe and my old Steel toe Flint 1 boots are 1.3lb and worn flat out.
Amazon says the Blundstones are 1.2lb each.
@Adam, I personally use Merrell Work Shoes. They make a nice shoe thats a slip on and have work grade version that i use at the shop. I don't think these are too heavy but thats my opinion and preference of safety shoe.
They are a great boot, fair warning for those with a high arch/instep. You are going to have to bring them to a cobbler to have the top stretched. Mine were painful to wear until I did that. Also coming from someone that wears work boots every single day for both work and life.
My dad, who just turned 100, gave me the following advice. "Your feet will take you everywhere you go for the rest of your life. Never buy cheap shoes, or wear shoes that hurt your feet."
Sounds like a smart bloke. 👍
When its comes to shoe's or beds always go for broke because you spend half your life in both! My dad said!
One even better is: Never cheap out on things that separate you from the ground. That's shoes, tyres, matresses.
I gave you a like on your comment because I believe in the same. I unfortunately cannot follow that ethos.
@@madkvideo you forgot aeroplanes lol and parachutes lol Just kidding! Agreed!
My Dad wore his Blunnies for fourty odd years farming in the Mallee, Victoria, Australia. You would always know when the season had broken (ie it rained) as Dad would retire last years boot that had a hole in the sole that had probably been filling his boot with dirt during the four week wheat harvest but that would mean a wet foot every day. But when I say they were retired, that meant they became his (sheep) shearing boot until the elastic gave way entirely and he was essentially wearing a leather slipper until the next years boot was ready for retirement. Very proud moment as a farmers son to be taken to rural supplies store in town to buy first pair of Blunnies in the late 1980’s.
As a farmer in the Loddon mallee whole heartily I can confirm getting your first pair of blunnies is timeless
Great story. Hi from Sydney 🥃
Beautiful
Blundstone stock just shot through the roof :P
The prices will probably go way up now and I already can't afford a $200 (!) pair of boots!
How are Uggs dealing with their bump?
@@RjWolf3000 They dont get one. Uggly boots.
One of the few good things about this pandemic is that we now get to see so much more video content from Adam, and that's a blessing. Keep doing what you are doing my good man!!
A friend of mine recommended Blundstones to me maybe five years ago. I’ve been wearing the same pair daily ever since (except in hot weather). They are just beginning to wear out on the heels and on the inside heels. And I love the ease of putting them on as well.
"Tuff toe" epoxy that protects the leather on top of the steel toe.
Doubled the life on my Blundstones.
Haha, I did that by accident to a pair of Timberlands years ago when rolling resin for warehouse floors, they became better protection than the steel toed version
Love blundstones. I work industrial maintenance and use the extreme series with the rubber cover over the steel toe. I’ve tried so many different brands and pairs over the years but I’m so happy to finally found the one that works best for me. I also have the regular steel toes and a pair of non steel toes that I keep nice for daily wear.
I’m a automotive painter and love red back boots. Also from Australia. Those Aussie’s know boots! Last pair lasted me 5+ years!
I’ve been a Mythbusters fan since season one and I remember seeing Adam’s Blundstone boots for the first time and thinking to myself that those look like the perfect work boots. I’ve worn many different pairs of work boots from cheap Walmart brands to more expensive (mostly cowboy style work boots) and this last year when it was time I needed a new pair cause my last pair had started to fall apart with many holes, I remembered these and finally pulled the trigger. I gotta say that my Blundstones are some of the most comfortable pair of not only boots but shoes in general over the time I’ve had them and have been great for me when I’m on my feet all day. I can’t see myself wearing anything different as of now and plan to get another pair once I wear this pair to the ground. I can verify in my time everything that he’s said in this video about them is true and I absolutely love them!
First you tell us how much you love Bundy Ginger Beer.
Then you show us how much you love your Uggs by repairing them.
Now you're you're banging on about how awesome Blunnies are.
At this point Adam, you're more Aussie than a lot of Aussies are.
Love your work mate.
Well, he's obviously worked with Discovery Australia, so I think we could find room for him here in Oz.
😉👍😁

Bundy just released an alcoholic ginger beer… definitely recommend!
A lot of Blundstone lovers have since moved to another aussie boot company Redback since Blundstone started using overseas manufacturing. I've never owned Blundstones but I wore the same pair of Redbacks every day for over 6 years until they wore out
3 years of shop work on my redbacks. There is another channel that cuts them in half.
@@arogers9986 Rose Anvil
I have both, but the instep seam on the redbacks chafes my foot, so they're relegated to thick-sock, outdoor, beat-the-bejeezus duty. The blunnines I can wear all day, all the time. It's all about fit.
I bought blundstones a few years ago because of a tweet you posted. I'm on my second pair and I intend to wear them forever
Love your channel man
I was actually just in Yarnham the other day and picked up some bloodstones as well. It's those damn Bloodrocks that are hard to find. Old Yarnham is full of dirty scalper beasts all over the shop selling them for 60insight.
I've been wearing these for years. A young guy I work with said "Oh, everyone your age likes those...." :-/
???!!!!
Wut. It's the artist shoe where I am. I got my degree from an art school and it was comical how many of us had Blundstones
It's the hipster standard around here. Back when we could have house parties, you'd easily find half a dozen pairs at the door.
@@gnaeiuopl How would you even know which's which?
@@JonatasAdoM fit, stains, and wear pattern. The elastic on one of mine is frayed at the top, and there's a deep gouge of a scratch in one toe.
Redback steel toe boots are even more comfortable than blundstones. They are still made in Australia unlike blundstone boots.
I agree.
there is a reason Redbacks are standard in the automotive world for mechanics
Yep, Redbacks for general wear for me, but Oliver for safety boots. Both have excellent cushioning in the soles.
My 9yr old got his first pair of red backs last year and he finds them so comfortable you need to try red backs
My first thought when I saw this title was "I bet a lot of people still think they are made in Australia". Looks like you beat me to the comments section so I'll just thumb you up.
Problem is, we can’t be sure that Adam hasn’t just weathered these boots to look like that... 😉
There actually new
@@jackraintree4351 Could reverse weathering be a thing? Or is that just restoration?
Check out Redback’s! Still made in Australia (Blundstones aren’t), similar aesthetic not quite as “clean” but close, you can also get them in steel toe, and they have much much better leather, it’s like twice as thick, it’s like a “work” version of a Blundstone.
Rose Anvil is a great channel that dissects all manner of work boots including Blundstones showing each boot and shoes construction. Well worth a watch. He also has a cool Toaster;]
Second this.
Yeah the Redback boots seemed better in his review
second that. got tons of info on leather and boots, and whats a better way to learn that all when the boot gets cut in half!
They’re fairly popular among Fire and EMS people too as they, as you said, durable and easy to take on and off.
Something I’ve been told and I believe to be true is: Always buy the best possible you can for your work boots and your mattress; if you’re not in one, you’re in the other. Also this edict extends to vehicle tires as they are the only thing holding you to the road.
I've been wearing "blunnies" since the mid-90's. I love them!
Most of us rail personnel in New Zealand also wear them and love them. The ones with the thick gel sole are our choice for walking on rail ballast and everything else. Nice one. Enjoy.
I absolutely love my Blundstones. I wear them every day, including our wedding day (thank you Koihana for letting me wear shined Blundstones with my suit :) a few years ago.
Get out of my head! Everytime recently I'm like "ok I need such and such" Adam is like here's a video of that tool!
Right? Literally looking for a new pair of boots yesterday.
Littleraly was just googling what boots he wears, and this video was just uploaded yesterday.
I have not worn Blundstones but based on the recommendation of the Rose Anvil channel I purchased a pair of Redback boots that are very similar.
Same here. I’m in love with my Redbacks.
I’ve always wanted a pair of these. As of now, my favorite boots I’ve ever worn are Thorogood boots made in the US by union workers. I usually burn through a pair of boots in about 6 months and my first pair of Thorogoods is going on a year and a half and feel like they’re just getting broken in. Super comfortable standing on concrete for 12 and 18 hour shifts and feel like slippers. If I’m not wearing these, I’m in my crocs
I agree, my last union shop actuallly hooked us up with a pair using “safety points” we earned. My problem with every pair of boots is the uneven wear on the sole. And most places want $100-$150 to replace. So I just buy a new pair
I've been wearing redback boots for everything for the past years. I'm an automotive technician so I'm on my feet all day. They're comfortable, slip on and durable. Every pair has lasted me over 2 years. I feel you on tying shoes 😁. Aussies sure make good shoes. Only thing is the sizing is different.
I have the 192 work boot model and they’re well into their 2nd year of serious hard work as a stone mason. Cement, concrete, demolition, mud… bonfires even. And the toes are scuffed up, but still lots of time left in them. I’m anticipating another year I hope. I also wear the 550 as my nice boots and their like leather slippers! Love them!
Absolutely agree; blunnies are the most comfortable (and dare I say ‘stylish’) boots I’ve ever had. Had mine as daily wear for at least 5+ years. Thanks for the vid Adam.
I've been a Blunnie wearer for about 35 years and commend your choice of boots! I fly in them daily both as a pilot myself, and as an airline passenger. My current dying pair have done about 20 trips across the pacific between Oz and the North America from Texas to Alaska, and a few other countries as well, light comfortable, sturdy and look great. It gets hot, proper hot, in Mojave where they have done a lot of work, and I still wear them every day I am on the airport. I have tried many others along the way, but Blunnies are the default boots for me!
Adam, we need a one day build. Steel toe Uggs!
The Biltmore workboot is on the Ugg store and is steel toed.
I have to wear safety shoes for work and here in Sweden we use polymer based protection instead of steel makes for much lighter shoes and they won't pinch your toes off in case of something heavy falling on your foot
I just got my first pair of "Blunies" based on having watched damn near every video on Adam's channel. I wore them for the first time yesterday and after 9 hours of wear, they were already starting to break in and form to my feet. Can't wait to get them fully broken in and hope they last a long time.
Redbacks!..You wont regret it!
On my second pair of slip on steel toe Redbacks for working in a machine shop and nothing really comes close to them. Can stand all day with them and some decent inserts and have zero discomfort at the end of the day.
I've hear redbacks are great ive been wearing thorogoods and I love them but they are heavy as hell
I came here to suggest the same thing. I've been wearing redbacks for 15 years
cannot fault them
I agree with Redbacks!
Nah steel blues cobba
Best boot I've ever owned. Booth the steel toed and non-steel toed. I've had my pairs for 5 years and they're still in fantastic shape.
do you know which ones are the steel toed ones? the ones linked in the description arent steel toed
@@Robothinker I have the same question
I lived in 550s from 2011 until this past year when I ended up retiring those. I scored a pair of 500s from Sierra Trading for $80 and have been just as happy. The 550s are easier to get on because of the leather lining. Most of the farmers I know (we live in the country side) wear blundstones when they are not in their mucks or bogs. I know Redbacks are supposed to be great and maybe after my 500s deteriorate I’ll try those.
Being a shoe distributor in Aus there’s three main brands to recommend, Bata, Redback and Blundstone. Depending on what you find comfortable and how heavy you want them I’d suggest taking a look around
They wear Bata in Australia? What kind? Would you please send a link of some sort?
Mongrel? I’ve found them to be great.
I (45) have never once in my life thought, "My boots are too heavy..." Sorry Adam. I live in western PA. It snows a lot here. Still love your content and like every video.
You're wearing the right boots then.
I've had a few pairs that were shin ache inducing
He wears work boots and ugg boots, man is a boot fiend
Na but we might make a Aussie of him yet!!
@@chrish1590 yeah, Blunnies and Uggs, and drinks Bundaberg ginger beer, he fits right in!

I bought Blundstone boots a year or two ago to handle the winter and rain and i can only say im impressed by them. They are comfy, durable and i feel like a king walking in snow or heavy rain!
Blundstone are nice but Redbacks are more comfortable imo. Redbacks break-in faster have more cushion and are actually made in Australia.
Blunnies aren’t made in Tassie anymore??? I’m out of the loop now that I live in the States. 🤣
@@evaczarnojanczyk1432 yep china as far as i am aware
I wore Redbacks for years, great boots. Breaking them in is hell but once broken in they are amazing. I wear 'Steel Blues' now, expensive but once you try them you can't go back.
For anyone looking, I'm pretty convinced that the non-steel toed boots he show first are not from the Classic or Original series, but are the Dress type boots. They have a more square shaped toebox and the sole is different both from the side view and underside. So my best bet for Adam Cosplayers would be to look for the #1306
I think you're right about the 1306, I just ordered a pair! I bought a pair of 1609 locally yesterday and they feel HUGE. Hoping the 1306 will live up to the hype!
Hey Adam, I don't know if you'll see this but you should check out Redbacks. I work in EMS and everybody swears by them. The boots are steel toe as well and Chelsea style as well. I have heard nothing but good things about them. Figured I'd pass on the information.
Landscaper for 8 years. Blundstone wearer for 6. I usually go through a pair every 8 months or so. My last pair were the model with the solid toe cap and love them (I had the same issue of wearing through).
Adam: "I don't want to bend over and do my laces anymore!"
Also Adam, in multiple other videos: "I'm impatient."
You don't say! :P
Keens make a great lightweight steel toe shoe and to keep with the not tying aspect you just change out the laces with the tie free stretchy laces. I use these in a boat repair facility daily and they are great.
I've had them all blundstones red wing and keen is by far the best and they have the extra toe protection so the toe won't wear out and they offer slip ons and wide versions they have composite toes also which are very light, will never buy another brand also make great hiking boots too
Adam about to join the Beastie Boys in that thumbnail.
Amazing boots. Was inspired by Adam and a friend who did everything in them from wearing to them work straight to hiking. Incredible boots, The sole lasts a lifetime and the leather holds strong with wore for so long and barely crease (depending on what you do of course) but incredible boots! Can't say enough about them as it seems most of us who wear them would agree!
Adam, there are plenty of Australian style boots that are actually made in Australia. Blundstone moved their manufacturing off shore years ago. My new go to Aussi boots are Rossi's. Same cost but made in OZ.
I believe they are called Mongrel boots as well, as you said AUSSIE MADE! I like there zip siders since I hate doing laces but need the toughest quality for landscaping work
Yep, Blundstones, every farmer in Aus has them. I moved to riggers boots for lace up boots. They have less seams in them, light weight and extremely comfortable from the first time you wear them. Being a truck driver, im in and out of the cab all day. Try doing that in new boots. The Riggers are the only ones that dont give me sore feet after the first days (12 hours) use, and a local (West Australian) company.
I've been a fan of Solovair boots for quite a while. I have a good range of them for casual wear to "heavy duty" applications. It seems not many people share this brand.
I bought a pair of Blunt boots on a whim a few months back when I was looking to replace my old Red Wings, and I have basically lived in them. They're composite toe, so my toes don't get cold in winter, and they're comfortable as all hell. Much more comfy than any of the Red Wing or Timberland boots I had before.
I just walked over 30 miles in them over the past 3 days working a monster truck show and while I was achy at the end of the day, I was perfectly fine the next to keep going. At this point, I will happily keep buying them.
As an Aussie, I approve heartily with your boot choices. That goes for the Uggs too.
As an Aussie also and from Tassie, I must say that I understand that Uggs are no longer an Australian owned company.
@@kimgray1606 Uggs have never been Australian owned. Deckers registered the trademark, and has been able to keep it. making them in Australia and using the word is fine, but the brand and logo aren't Australian.
@@Duncan_Campbell Thanks for that Duncan . Was not aware that was the case.
At my university in Canada, Blundstones (non-steel-toe (except for mechanical engineering students)) were the fashionable boots in winter.
I love the Australian made Mongrel boots, super comfortable and hard wearing
An excellent choice. Bluestones are more comfortable than redbacks but I'm going to buy Mongrel boots next for sure.
A lot of farm to table chefs use these. Can't wait to get my own! I was a Marine for 4 years, need to change my brown cadillacs for something that can be used for work and to talk to guests at a winery. Love these.
Thats another good patch idea. Patch for wearing out a pair of work boots.
I love my Blundstones. The steel toe pair I wear has a rubber cap over the toe though. I've owned a lot of steel toe boots and got tired of the steel poking through the leather and only buy rubber capped toes now. Occasionally you may need to re-glue the cap but they keep the toe in good shape a lot longer.
Just about every time Adam does a show and tell I'm like "Damnit, something else I can't stop myself from purchasing".
lol, I quite literally just received a breakblade knife and refills, as well as those quick solder connectors because he mentioned them and they sounded super useful. :D
Yesssss! Finally! I want to say I asked about your boots in the comments over a year ago. 🙏🏻 Thanks Adam!
Don’t worry that’s nothing on average I go through about three pairs of boots in a year being a bricklayer.
Went through 3 to 4 a year working in an aluminum cast house. Was also going through a pair of laces a month before I got fed up and switched to kevlar ones.
Oh I feel your toe pain, I had a pair of Red Wings I wore doing a gutter replacement, absolutely shredded the toes.
Redbacks are an alternative that is supposed to have better quality and comfort
Yeah, redbacks are better in damn near every way. My only wish is they’d come out with a line that is a cleaner aesthetic like blunstones
I wear redbacks steel toe as part of my uniform at the fire station. Love them and the toe protector that avoids the toe wear through issue.
@@tallakff7349 Same. Weirdly the most comfortable shoes I own.
I've got several pairs of blunnies that I wear for my job as a surveyor, and in my down time. Love 'em!
i wear the same ones, the most comfortable footwear i've ever owned.
Almost the entire Tested staff wears them as well.
a few years back Adam mentioned the Blundstones boots in one of the "still untitled"-podcasts. i looked into them and ordered one pair without steel toes for myself. since them i wear them daily and through all seasons. and i am on pair no. 3^^ so i can agree with you that they are the most comfortable ones. And Thanks Adam for that segment a few years back.
This tells me you have never tried red backs
If you're in the mood to try stuff out and you can't get what you want in Blundstone, Steel Blue do a very very good boot and have been my boot of preference for a while.
Both brands are the top tier if you ask me.
First Uggs, now work boots. But protecting your toes are kind of important
Indeed, his fingers are apparently not that important.😁
Work boots are awesome!
Oliver safety boots, polycarbonate toe
I wore blundstone boots for years before finding Oliver boots.
Current pair are 10 years old and survived a year in forestry, 2 years in steel fab, 2 years in food manufacturing and some time in agriculture. The stitching is going and they're no longer waterproof (due to repeated soakings) but they're still light and comfortable.
Blunnies are great, but they offshored their production in 2007 to countries where pollution and human life are of little consequence in order to reduce costs and didn't drop prices. 360 manufacturing jobs lost in Tasmania and NZ. No more of my money will they get.
Yea. That changes things. Idc how nice they are. Greed is ugly

In our family, as soon as your feet stop growing you get a pair of Blunstones for Christmas. They are probably my favourite Christmas gift ever and after 6 years mine still look amazing even with daily wear.

Early in my Apprenticeship I purchased a set of Redwing Supersole boots. Very comfortable and the soles wore like iron. I was working on manual milling machines and lathes 58 to 60 hours a day. Always standing on chips. Great boots.
Until Adam Savage talked about his boots, never heard of Blundstone boots.
I’m glad Adam enjoyed them. But 8 pairs in 12 years seems like a terrible return on investment. He can buy a pair of whites for that price
I work in a Shipyard and get a new pair of boots every year. I've had a few Redwings, Timberland Pros, Wolverine, Cat, Georgia Giant. My favorite and longest lasting by far is the Redwing King Toes. I have a pair that is 5 years old that I still wear regularly: Composite toe, 6" boot. Still one of the most comfortable boots to wear to walk around the yard, crawl around bilges on steel decking. It saw 3 years of every day use, and now is in a rotation with a few others.
Blue steel, gone through about 20 sets as a boilermaker.
I found the soles come off too easily with Blue Steel boots, went through 3 pairs in 2 years in the forestry industry before moving to Oliver.
I love how the company is actually called Steel Blue, but no one ever calls them that 😂
Steel Blue is another Aussie boot company - I wear their Hobart steel toed work boots 5 days a week for work and they're SO comfortable and light and durable - I literally replace them only after the treads have worn down (every few years). They have the pull tab on the backs, too.
Are you in the US? Where do you order Steel Blue from?
Welcome to the Sheep Herders Guild! LOL. They are great boots, I get mine at REI, when they go on sale. You can't beat the shoe return policy at REI.
Thanks for the recommendation Adam, been looking for some good work shoes. Just picked up a pair of Blundstones!
Good work boots are the difference between working for 40 hours a week and be dead when u get home and getting home feeling like have had a light workout.
Hell yeah ,
As someone who sells work boots, I've got some thoughts:
8 pairs in 12 years is pretty good for a daily driver. Most good boots, in my experience selling and wearing them, are meant to last roughly a year 18 months for "optimal support and comfort". Basically, it's the half-life. You can certainly get another few months or a year out of most boots after this point, but the shoe has broken down enough that it's diminishing returns.
Blundstones are AWESOME boots and I love them, but some great alternatives for lightweight boots are Terra and Timberland, who both have Chelsea options as well (at least in North America), and overall those two brands are the first ones I think of for quality boots that are also lightweight and comfortable.
Finally, if you are looking to bump up the waterproofing, Mink Oil is going to be your best friend. It's also being made as a synthetic now which lowers cost and the amount of minks being oiled...
Your friendly neighbourhood shoe guy signing off
I’m currently wearing Timberland pros and even bought aftermarket insoles specially molded for my foot and that’s why I’m here because they’re hard on concrete-- Resulting in varicose veins no more timberlands for me
Hey Adam, I don’t know if you’d ever swap your house ugg boots but I wear Gumbie slippers in the house, they’re based on Australian work boots... they’re awesome!
We will pass that along!
@@tested great thanks.... Gumbie slipper boot 👍
Only Adam could be so enthusiastic about work boots. I'm guessing he subconsciously remembers things from Mythbusters as he's talking about them.
Love my Blunnies, I’ll never own another brand of work boot.
I always went for Blue Steel boots. Nice and light and very comfortable. Could never get used to slip ons. Working on rocky ground I always appreciated tight boots.
yep steel blues are night and day to blunnies .
My favorite boots are the Merrell MOAB 2. They're not steel-toe, but field scientists and technicians (and the writers like me who tag along) swear by them. Even the "non-waterproof" model is highly water-resistant, staying dry on a rolling ship deck. Amazing traction, too, so you don't slip in grease or sea snot.
Love blundstones, stocked up three pairs of old blundstone australian army work boots so that's me sorted for the next 15 years

Jk. Much love and respect from Ohio
Hey Adam/Fellow Tested Viewers,
Just got my first pair of Blundstones today after my old Doc's wore out. They were at the point where I got shoulder pain anytime I wore them. They fit and feel great out of the box already. Hope they work as well for me as they did for you.
Theyre no Redbacks.
Im hard on my boots and Ive never had to repalce a pair of redback quick escapes in 10 years.
I’ve heard some people talk about redbacks so i ordered a pair. I’ve never received a pair of boots with more disappointing quality control. They had glue run off on the leather from where they glued the soles. The front of the soles had terrible flash from their mold going bad that they never bothered to trim off. I could have maybe forgave that if they were more comfortable than my Blundstones but they weren’t. Never again.
@@tragedyshero72 Ive never heard anyone other than you say this.
80% of EMS and FD wear them (quick escape), Ive had 4 pair in 10 years and Ive only ever changed them because the leather on the toes gets ratty over time with abuse. For me, at some point it just looks unprofessional.
But Ive never had to replace them due to failure.

I started my career in xray doing 3-11s at hospital which meant walking all over the hospital on concrete floors doing portables, getting patients from ER and going to surgery. Wore sneakers which would blow out after a month pf two, resulting in sore feet and hips. But, thats what I could afford. Took the risk and bought some Birkenstock Tokyos, covered toe needed for hospital work. Wore them for the next 4 years at hospital and thru three clinics, resoled them five times. Bought a new pair about five years ago, same story. No foot problems or hip pain. Worth the extra money, always.
Wearing a pair now I got for my 40th Birthday, I’m 45 in August, and all though I don’t punish them like Adam, I live in wet Rural England, and walk about 2 & 1/2 miles to work and back cross country almost every day. This winter was the first time I had to wax polish them to retain their water resistance.
Another sad story for Australian manufacturing
It's all about the Lima Declaration.
Been asking about your blunnies for a bit, feels so nice to see them in service, I just recently busted the life out of mine, been going strong for 4-5 years
I've been wearing Royers for two years and I love them. They're designed in Canada and are warm enough to work outside without overshoes for a good part of the winter. They're warm in the summer, that's a downside, but I'll live with that. They're also metal free, using a resin toe cap, so they're feather light and feel like slippers, and the metal free aspect keeps them shock resistant for longer. I'm gonna wear them until they fail and I'm gonna buy the exact same ones after.
I dont know if anyone else has suggested but Rossi boots (Adelaide, South Australia) and Baxter boots(Goulburn, New South Wales) , also make light and comfortable elastic sided boots (laughing side not Chelsea boots). Some Rossi boots were made from Kangaroo leather.
Blundstone & Bundaberg! Love to see our stuff represent
Thank you for this, I've been curious about what boots Adam wears since I watched one of his Tested shop tour videos. There's a shot in the shop's loft in that video showing a rack full of pairs of the same kind of boot in various states of ruin, and I thought to myself that Adam must love those boots to keep buying the same kind over and over again every time he wears a pair out.
Hi Adam being a welder fabricator in Australia i love the Blundstone 546 Riggers boots
this is the second video I've watch where I've been distracted by his cap cause I like the simple brown cap look with that black band at the back of the bill, just an understated look in the cap that I really dig
