Nice video. I use Saphir Renovateur on my Redbacks! (lol, I probably wasnt supposed to on the crazy horse leather, but oh well!! ) They look amazing now :)
Opinion on the Danner Bull Run mock toe completely unlined,,, to be honest I've been wearing a pair of $50 gravel gear 6" mock toe for the last year and can not find one complaint except for the plastic welt ,,, I do like the minimal construction in lack of padding/insulation in the danners,,, the gravel gear just survived a week in south Dakota 15 ° temp pheasant hunt I just need to justify the $200 difference thanks for your opinion in advance
I don’t know the Bull Run but these guys are worth the cost to me. More importantly, now I’m jealous I wasn’t up hunting with ya. Sounds like you could use something with some insulation in those temps.
I use mine for bricklaying and working on site, cleaned them for the first time today after a week on site and the leather in certain areas has scuffed a bit, is this normal for leather boots as ive never had a pair of redbacks before ?
Yes and specifically in bricklaying as that is a very abrasive surface. Glad that you are keeping an eye on them, probably a good idea for you to do biweekly conditioning. They will take a beating but you may end up needing to get into some rough out work boots. I recommend Franks Boots, Nicks or Whites! I have experience with those companies. JK, and Drews and others seem to be just as good. Thanks for watching.
Would recommend RedBacks to those who live/work in extreme cold temps? I live in North Pole, Alaska and we regularly see -25F to -45F temps and I’m looking for a boot that has great traction on the snow & ice and can keep my toes from freezing. With them being made in Australia it wouldn’t surprise me if these these boots wouldn’t be ideal for the conditions I just mentioned. Thought I’d ask. Also just watched you Nick’s boot video where you had the tour and got fitted for a pair, I’m also considering a pair of the WaterWork boots. Are you familiar with that model and if so any advice? Thanks for the content.
Nicks has some deep winter options too. I'd at least get some LL Bean boots, check my video on those. I wouldn't get the Redback boots for winter or cold temps. I wish I had any info on WaterWork boots but I don't right now.
Great Video. I just used Blackrock on my Redback Boots. Came out Great! Thanks for Posting.
Great to have you around the channel Peter. Great to get the feedback and love your attitude.
Love your videos brother! New subscriber and supporter here!!

Thank for your video s love my redbacks
Appreciate that! Loving mine as well, wear them often.
I just ordered some. Tired of lacing up my boots. I hope they fit. I got some Bonsalls on the way. I ordered their 4 ounce thing of boot stuff.
I go to these boots most days of the week.

Ahh, I say they are just boots. I try not to get too carried away about "the Rules". Cheers Jonathan.

Just got a pair of red back, should I waterproof them or wait?
You can waterproof right away!

even here in boston the redbacks aren't too great for winter. they are not insulated and i end up slipping and sliding on ice badly.
@@ugiboogy1111 I can imagine! thanks for commenting.
@@ugiboogy1111 just moved to the Boston area. Thanks for the comment it’s good to know.
Do your red backs fit tight in the toe box because I have wide feet so do I buy the 1/2 size for a wider toe box
Mine are very roomy in the toe box. Thanks for watching.
@@GentlemansJourney so don’t go up a half size
@@noone-pg4lr I don't think it is necessary for the width.
@@GentlemansJourney ok thank you homie
@@noone-pg4lr Redbacks are in UK sizing and the half sizes are the wide selection so if you need a 9 and you have a wide foot you would get a 9 1/2.
