I just had $200 stolen from a EBAY GIFT CARD and Ebay employee's just told me the EBAY card was already used by someone who lives in California ( I live in Ky by the way) before I even purchased the flipping card in Kentucky.... Ebay employee's could literally see what merchandise was purchased with my ebay card and has done nothing about it. They refuse to honor my card and my FAMILY DOLLAR STORE RECEIPT showing them its my card. I'm out $200 and someone is getting away with this in California and still walking around free. I'm furious. EBAY REFUSES TO GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK AND THEY KNOW THE CARD IS USELESS TO ME!!
Ebay is doing an illegal disservice to it’s customers they should seriously be investigated by SEC for fraud or deal with getting arrested and put in jail.
Let’s get together and file a complaint against eBay with the federal trade commission they won’t take my case they only do class action law suit
ebay doesn't care, they will harass you like they did to some couple for leaving bad reviews on them, look it up on yahoo news, forbes, abc, msn, fox news etc...

Thanks for the solid info on this easy scam card, i wanted to purchase a little private time with female company she requested a eBay card then to make sure i was legit about our encounter she requested the last 4 digits of the card so me being the lo life dumb ass that i obviously am i bowed to her request then the txtn stoped i knew i was in trouble but couldn't figure it out then i found your video truly gracious for the info and lesson well deserved.

Could this be why as of april 2022 I haven't seen ebays on the shelves? When I call escorts, they keep telling me to buy the ebay giftcards for them because they're affraid of counterfeit cash. Anywhere I go, they're not on the shelves and I keep telling them "I think we both know why". Some try to make due with apple giftcards. I've googled it and every source tells me that only walmart stopped carrying but neither does cvs nor probably any other store

Same thing happened to me, at Walgreens and I've also lost money from my health insurance card... In my opinion this is straight out theft and ebay seem to be okay with that because they still get my money so they don't care..? The fact that someone else got goods in return for my money doesn't appear to bother ebay in the slightest... However I believe that ebay is guilty of concert of fraud...

Also I can't use an eBay gift card that I bought after using them for 3 months I guess eBay or PayPal has certain spending limits or some kind of limit that if you reach it no matter what you do you cannot buy or put more money on to your account using gift cards they want credit card information I guess to lift your level or something I've heard complete b******* so now I have a $25 gift card that I can never use again that still has $25 on it I can check the balance on eBay but I go to use it and they won't let me screw paypal and ebay there days are number because people are starting new dating sites because they're so upset with PayPal and eBay
Just lost 30$ usd myself went to my local cvs picked up a card and got on their site trying to buy a rare yet cheap playstation game, but was hit with a message saying I can't add this code to my order. Gave them a call and the rep said oh we aren't letting any gift cards make purchase any more because of recent hack attack they suffer, foul so that means I been cheated cause now I can't be refunded because of the nature of gift card purchasing.

alizonnne giggles you have to put the card on boths eBay and PayPal then you can add gift card after you order done and receive stuff then i removed my card from PayPal simply
So I bought a eBay gift card for my son for his birthday from Walmart only put 50 on it lucky I did not put more In this case because when my son went to use the card it said zero balance so I call eBay and they tell me the card was frozen due to fraudulent activity? Seems odd that a gift card would be frozen anyways they tell me the only way to release the funds was to send a photo copy of card and the Walmart receipt also a handwritten note from me with my eBay user name ? Ok well I threw the receipt away unfortunately so Im guessing eBay scammed me on this one thing is I have bought tons of gift cards from eBay before and it had never been a problem till now I just can't believe this happened to my son on his birthday I'm really disappointed in the situation but atleast now I know not to never throw away a gift card receipt and hopefully eBay will one day soon unfreeze the card
I feel your pain. I bought $200 eBay gift card thinking nothing of it. BOOM gone. I kept receipt but eBay says it will take up to 7 business days for an investigation to go on. I’ve read many other comments with the same story however no one has ever gotten their money back.
@@FirstnameLastname-xw5pb I have since wrote to ebay headquarters in California several times about this issue and no response also I find it odd how the card could have been under investigation for fraud when the bar code on the back wasn't scratched off when I purchased the gift card anyways I'm sure it's not some random scammer and, its definitely someone who works for the company doing this type of Bs I have since bought gift cards from eBay and always save my receipts low key I'm hoping they fck up and do it again bc if it ever happens again I'm contacting a lawyer first thing with proof and to this day the card is still frozen with a zero balance
Don't buy eBay gift cards in Canada! They are only applicable to Canadian listings, which only accounts for about 1% of listings on eBay!

UPDATE July 2020, They have not changed !! Nine digits of the 13 secret code are printed on back for all to see or copy! All the hackers need to do is get the 4 digit Pin of card,, The purchaser & receiver of gift card will be OUT the money with NO recourse. Uncovered. I received a gift card from my wife, I went to use the card and it was rejected, not valid, called and told the card was already used! No refund from ebay, we are out the money, What is possibly fake about that? I don't know how they hacked it but someone someone did, I can only assume that this is a simple for some hackers because the majority of the scratch off pin # is revealed on bottom of card with only 4 numerical digits for them to obtain. The cards are located on an aisle, in the store.. thieves can pick up the cards take pics of the #s revealed on the back and then hack it. true that was weird tbh, but the video still doesn't lie about most of the #s showing up again un-hidden & the fact that they are all #s which can easily be guessed by anyone or computer program to type in random #s over & over & over till it catches a activated one around the country. google wont even let me set my password to only #s since they say it can be guessed hacked or brute forced hacked by an random number generating program

No false info, our card was hacked.. The cards only require 4 numerical digits to hack them.. That is not enough! Proof it is not enough? How about you read ebays requirements if you crate an ebay account? Your password must be: At least 6 character, A combination of at least two of the following: uppercase or lower case letters (A-Z or a-z), numbers (0-9) and special characters (?_!@#) (example: Beatlesfan#28, $uperman1963)
