Fun fact: I'm working on a large US air base in Germany and we have the same ladder in our office as you use in the Mack videos. Seems to be a pretty common product in the US. 😅 R.I.P. Winston 😢 I think you would have been better off using a proper degreaser and not the glass cleaner to clean the truck. Maybe the bubbling would not have happened then... Btw., I loooooooooove the color so much! I have copper-colored rims on my car. 🤘🏻
your method of taping is 100% correct. I've painted hundreds of cars with my brother when he was alive. And it may not affect you because of what your painting, we did cars, which are lower to the ground, so we spilled buckets of water on the floor around and under the vehicle so when painting down low it didn't kick up any dust from the floor, and the overspray would settle on the water. We always started from the top down. I would have primered the whole vehicle and it all needs to be scuffed and sanded so the paint has a surface to stick too.
Looks like old Winston got into something he shouldn't have. Or maybe just didn't want to do sanding ?! Anyway, as you were teasing us with the paint colors, I was saying "oh please let it be burgundy", and you kinda heard me ! Color #2 would be my choice, but it sounds like you've decided against either of them in the end ? And I'm not a painter, but it looked like the paint maybe reacted with those areas that bubbled up like paint remover does ? Maybe use a primer/sealer over the whole cab before the top color ? Again, just stuff I've heard and learned during my 75 years living on this chunk of rock ! I like the learn-as-you-go attitude though, really. That's how I've survived after quitting school after 9th grade. There goes MY credibility, right ?😂 Anxious to see what you end up with--it'll be cool I'm sure 🙂
Nice love the home made paint booth Grayce but it should have had the incoming air being filtered so as not to suck in dust from the outside. But still it is very good
as a colour-blind person, your two "mystery" colours looked the same! No idea what the colour(s) are, but they looked bronze(ish) to me. Keep up the good work
It would help to pre-spray your surface with Bulldog Adhesion Promoter that will give it a tack for the paint. Also, any surface that is sanded to the base needs to have a couple of coats of primer!
Probably the base coat was reactivated by the sanding which is a different brand of paint than what you wanting to apply. Unfortunately it’s real hard to repaint over unless it’s all resealed with a primer that’s the same brand of the new paint you gunna apply. Also if you ground the truck to the concrete floor it will help get rid of the dust particles in the air .
@briansatchell2319 you also trained in fire science? I hand a coworker get burned real bad! Him and my uncle were burning up our old camp on a helicopter unit and he went to pour burn mix out of an un lided 5 gal. Bucket on a fire burning blk plastice and caught the bucket on fire and exploded on him
I was giong to say the glass cleaner is what caused that never seen that done before and i have painted quite a few cars and trucks always use a tack cloth to final wipe it before painting laquer thinner will do that with enamel paint need enamel reducer for the paint
The Paint * Puckering* is caused by the Thinners in your new paint Reacting on the original paint. Usually suggests the original paint was ENAMAL and the Thinners you are using is for LAQUEER based paints Check wot your Primer is ( there are more than one type) and use their suggested Primer
Sorry. Should of said Use a PRIMER and THINNER to suit going over ENAMEL also to suit wot your Final Top Coat is going to be. ENAMEL again. Or. LAQUER based In the past I have used wot they call UNIVERSAL THINNERS ( does both paint types ) with no problems
Schade
Winston looks like he is HIGH from paint fumes. The two colors looks AWSOME. good luck to ya.
"Cause I'm that good" Priceless. I never had luck painting , if I was using a gas heater. Heat lamps !!
Truck is looking good
Always nice to see you
Robert here in California waving a hand. See you next time

She’s finally back!
Hi framer grayce happy holidays❤
So excited!!😂🤙🏾💯
Nice love the home made paint booth Grayce but it should have had the incoming air being filtered so as not to suck in dust from the outside. But still it is very good
You need to primer seal the truck then wet sand and paint
as a colour-blind person, your two "mystery" colours looked the same! No idea what the colour(s) are, but they looked bronze(ish) to me. Keep up the good work
Painting can be a pain in the butt. You need heat lamps. Take care and have a blessed and safe week
Looking good!!! I say this a lot but Grayce your an absolute boss farmer lady!! Keep up the hard work we appreciate everything y'all do for us.
Grayce: Breanna we need some good music. Breanna: I got you fam. 🤣
Fuell oil and paint does not mix

@@Stupidfastracing Are you a little slow?
@@Stupidfastracing why didnt you make that remark in german? He already said his english is bad. Only 17% of the world population speak english.
Hi Winston!!
RIP Winston
moin.. moin... Wünsche dir einen schönen Tag.. bleib wie du bist.. 😜
too much thinner to paint which is causing the issue also tho paint to to air ratio
We have one painted and ready to go back on the frame which is painted as well. Then we can rewire everything. It's a 1978 KW
Paint is a different mouse 🐁 . When it started missing up stop and we mix the paint with more paint less thinner and bander.
2 things I’m thinking the fumes from the heater and the cleaner u used possibly but your doing good u will get I’m sure
OOOooo gavin her stud
Use acetone or thinner to wipe down the truck before you paint.
RIP Winston ! 😢😢
You are so pretty and beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Your pink nails are cute.

That’s a nice Truck
Too bad you couldn’t make that into a heated/ insulated shop with tin roof and walls . Would be better for winter work.
my Harley was root beer and black, that looks very close to root beer.
Diesel heater fumes
🌹 gostei muito do trabalho
Like the color
Truck is looking good so far
Shouldn't spay a think coating. You should thin than go back add more sfter it started dry. Put layer on
Hey Grayce would you get the Mack Anthem or Mack Ch truck
hope it works out well. merry Christmas to you all! thanks grayce and Gavin.✌️
Ive painted a bunch of them. 😂
Sorry about Winston. 💔
Becareful with heat and plastic! It can catch fire and the bad part is tgat youncant see it burning until its to late!
Exactly. I would not of let the heater on and buggered off into town. Shitt she was lucky

Still at her stud muffins
I thought every state had the same law!
The glass cleaner will cause that if not wiped completely wiped off.
I was giong to say the glass cleaner is what caused that never seen that done before and i have painted quite a few cars and trucks always use a tack cloth to final wipe it before painting laquer thinner will do that with enamel paint need enamel reducer for the paint
Exactly as I said. Its the Wrong Thinner The * original paint job * would be ENAMEL and they are Thinning the Primer Coat with a LAQUERE Thinner
❤❤❤❤❤❤
