"baking soda is highly acidic" - actually it is THE OPPOSITE. Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate is an ALKALINE substance with a ph is 9.

get a bucket of some borax powder, trap a roach live and get him in the bucket, cover him up with the borax and release him, he goes back to the other's and begins destroying the rest, might take some time ( two weeks ) , but this method worked for me, 100% PS the more you trap and release, the sooner, the better !

Worth watching your presentation. You have explained it so nicely --- thanks to you Mam. You have given quite a good number of home remedies for cockroaches. Certainly if we find cockroaches we shall make use of them.
    Thanks for sharing.
All my best wishes to you.

That threw me for a loop as well Baking soda is around 8 or 9 on the PH scale making it an alkaline.

The absolute best way to get rid of roaches (I tried and test as a land lord of apartment buildings in Brooklyn and Queens N.Y.) Electrostatic treated Boric Acid. It must be Electrostatic treated (it will say so on the product description. WARNING do not use if you have children or pets. The way this works so well is because it has an electrostatic charge like combing your hair and watch your hair stick to the comb or watch little of paper cling to the comb like a magnet. The Boric acid jumps to the roach as it passes by the acid and clings to its body. The roach begins to die but not before taking the boric acid to its nest and feeding hundreds of roaches killing them all. In my experience as a landlord, when I treat 1 apartment that treatment killed roaches in surrounding apartments as well. In 5 hrs - 1 day roaches were dropping and dying everywhere in 6 apartments big mounds of kicking roaches being swept everywhere. This is by far the most effective way to kill roaches. This method has 1 drawback apart from dangerous to children and pets plus messy and that is it works best the more roaches you have. a-z-animals.com/blog/boric-acid-for-roaches-how-effective-is-it-really/
