This video is from almost 5 years ago and it probably took off because of the key words in the description and the throwback boom bap beat. I've got more interesting stuff from recent times - from battle-winning routines to freestyles to scratch tutorials - check the videos or playlists on my channel.
The beat is by Melting Pot Music's production duo Flatpocket, beattape 'Dispo II Dispo', the scratch record is DJ Woody's 'Scratch Sounds 2'.

Why can't HIP-HOP sound like this in today's music
Big up man, there's a lot of classic sounding boom bap being made these days, the guys who made the beat in this are just one example (Twit One and Lazy Jones). Germany, Chile and the UK for three places out of which lots of traditional production comes out.
The chileans rappers sound like this man
Because artist and labels probably dnt wanna pay for the samples? But I agree
I wish rappers today would make their music sound like this
many do!
@@djdelightfullstill i don't hear it on the radio
@@matthewconceicao7112 true, I suppose. We didn't hear any hip-hop on the radio at all where I grew up, there's no hip-hop on the radio where I live now.
Yeah
I produce music like this now💀💀 it’s just not what’s popular anymore
This why I love the ART of DJING, SALUTE
I've always loved the sound of scratching records.
Nice & smooth 😉😄
Fader control ON POINT…

Great skills 👍! Bro ever want to sell those 2 vestex turntables plz lmk. Thanks
Which mixer do you use? You're Great bro
Thanks! I don't use this mixer anymore but it's a Rane 61.
Mind if I use this in a UA-cam short? I’ll tag yah?
go ahead!
Do you take any requests? I'm struggling to find a DJ who would do a small routine...
Not sure, but perhaps, what's that about?
@@djdelightfull I was thinking about somebody dropping some scratches over the instrumental of Beastie Boys' Intergalactic, kinda connecting to the small scratches that are already on that track. That's... basically about it. I prefer to leave the rest to the imagination of the artist.
Do u make vynils I'm looking for that style of vynils $
Hi. Make? And which style? The beat or the scratch samples? I have a record out in collab with other people which has some music and lots of scratch tools, it's called At The Ave Breaks 5. Probably still available in HHV (Europe and worldwide), Mega DJ Center (US).
The scratch sample I got a question can I connect a interface mixer to another two channel mixer I'm trying to connect two laptops but when I connect both I can't get no sound from my turntable I gotta disconnect one laptop I'm new to djs
@@erick8906 so you aren't actually asking me about vinyl. I don't know what's an "interface mixer". There's plenty of instructional videos out there for any kind of set up.
In interested in vynils to but I wanted to ask about the interface
@@erick8906 I use 2 laptops when I livestream/teach online, I run Serato/Ableton through one, cameras/OBS/Skype/Twitch on the other. I don't see a reason to connect two laptops directly to a dj set-up unless two djs are playing a show and are plugging two laptops in a mixer with two USB ports, in which case it should run without any issues.
Dj del.do you have free beats with scratch ? Plsss
whats music you use for scratching ? both sides
check the description
That sound put me right back in my dear 90's
yes! They make the best current production with that aesthetic in Germany.
I"m all about 90s hip hop - this right here is the stuff.
@@djdelightfull try some Chilean productions my boy " jonas sanche" "portavoz" "chystemc"
@@sigma-yn3qd will do!

Sure man. These are a pair of Vestax PDX2000 MKi. And a Rane 61 mixer. I sold these decks years ago already.

Perfect homie 🤒🤒🤒🤒
Ah man this thing is soo good
Yo what turntables are you using?
I don't have these anymore but they're custom-painted Vestax PDX2000s.
@@djdelightfull thanks bro
Do you scratch the acapellas (vocals) over the beat?
In the case of that particular record the vocals aren't the acapella of a track, they were recorded for this release specifically. And yes, I use the phrases over the beat?
@DJ DELightfull Interesting. I'm currently trying to learn how to scratch bars and phrases into the beats I make. So I could make my own hooks/choruses. I'm not a DJ nor a turntablist by any stretch. I just try to beat match and blend the vocals.
@@OBZRV82 you can go very Madlib and just trust your feeling without any technique at all, or you could look up some tutorials (Beat Junkies Institute, DJ Angelo) to cover basic techniques that will help you learn to do cuts that'll work just fine for acapella phrase hooks. Occasionally scratching a bar from the original track but filtered and with trimmed lows can work too but it's trickier.
@DJ DELightfull Yo, thanks for the advice and insight. I'm about to put it to good use. Keep cutting the records your shits dope my gee. ✌🏿
