Bastid, your energy is infectious. You always look like you’re having the time of your life. Don’t lose that, it’s great to see some enjoying there craft as much as you do.

Right?! The enthusiasm and hype is for real. Which makes perfect sense. I don't think anyone could scratch alongside an OG like Jazzy Jeff and not have that look.

They're all phenomenally talented, that's amazing skills FYI: For folks who don't know about DJ's and turntable mixes, scratching. It's like bending the musical physics of sound.
the art of turntablism really is a underground counter culture thing. probably 99 percent of that crowd dident know anything about that. they dont know what scratching beatjuggling and etc. to call the crowd whack is pretty biased in my opinion for those of you who have passed that judgment.
Just because he started in the 80s doesn't mean he is a HOF. Hall of Fame are... Carl Cox, Jellybean Benitez, Shep Pettibone, Grand Master Flash, Red Alert, Larry Levan, David Morales, Nicky Siano, Junior Vasquez and Afrika among others. Not this guy!
DJ Jazzy Jeff was off the hook. He paved the way for all djs back then and especially now. He doesn't use cdjs with bmps. He's old school, but I have respect for him.
All four are my favourites!...They got some serious skills that people must respect!...This is so great!...Mind-blowing!...Where has such 'jaw-dropping live hip-hop turn-table scratch-mixing' vanished?...You don't get to see things like this quite often!...The MOP mix in the middle and James Brown/Rocky mix at the end, are total eargasm!...:)
Can't help but get hypnotized by the level scratching skills......Voices and instruments to make music then using that music as an instrument to make more music. Truly awesome, the one and only Dj Jazzy Jeff
Mixmaster Mike was the ultimate halftime DJ - and intro DJ - and end of the night DJ too come to think of it. In fact the Beastie Boys events were good but wouldn't have been half as good without Mixmaster Mike's warmup routines. I remember him getting a 5 minute standing ovation from the crowd and the rest of the Beastie Boys were not even on stage yet. DJs are changing - I mean all styles, some for the best but at least we were alive when the very best were playing at their finest. They just don't make them like this anymore. I mean Hardwell - who the fuck is he and why is he so fucking huge - dull and uninspiring BS TBH and seemingly scared to throw in the odd scratch in case it messes up their livestream. Ummmm DJing has gone to shit too I guess :-/

I’m all old school when it comes hip hop, my jr high and high school years were during the golden years of hip hop in the 80’s….. The DJ’s were good but NOTHING can overcome or compare to the infectious Peter Piper beat and those bells and the transformer breakdown scratch that JazzyJeff laid down, he dearly won this mini battle.
This whole session was nothing short of a masterpiece. Unreal skill.
basketball should be the halftime show for this

The transition for Sir Duke to The Rocky Theme was inspired.

Yeah you caught that tooo! Did he beat pad morph the horns from sir duke into Rocky theme horn section?????!!! Bonkers😮
Jazzy Jeff is the only reason I watched this video. Man Jeff cut that up , WOW ! THAT'S how it's supposed to be done.
Glad to see Jazz doesn't have any nagging injuries from being thrown by Uncle Phil.
