@@John-mi9dx Didn't mean to exclude him, it was phrased that way because Andrew, Adam & Marques have been there from the start, but David and Ellis are somewhat recent

I think yous should make a longform video on testing the limits of AI and Chatbots and culminating a list of its downfalls
this is so sad.....lets not keep any more history questions and tree questions please...
"a list of its downfalls" -- yeah ok.
We need the Ming beans question as a separate clip. Once it's posted on the clips channel, this podcast will just go viral.
Such a hysterical minute
Hey you guys have been running a WONDERFUL podcast, I appreciate you guys sticking with it even when views were much lower, I'm super happy to see it getting a bit more traction over the last few months
Yay, my weekend has officially started!!! Thanks MKBHD Team!!! Much love from SoCal 💙

Thanks to all you guys for making this podcast - I look forward to it every week :)
this is so sad.....lets not keep any more history questions and tree questions please...
Definitely love this weekly dose of tech news and the entertaining dynamics of the team. Keep all pips present and trivia questions going, and that is something AI wont be able to replace. Keep it up

54:05 They could use AI to give warnings about its own response. Like at the end it says, for example if you asked for a recipe, to check if the recipe it gave you has anything you're allergic to. It could also provide links to websites to learn some more (kinda already has that with the hyperlinks but now it's explicitly saying to go here to make sure), making their traffic not decrease as much.
1:06:19 I want to see a bigger more structured video on AI thank you!
I’ve really started looking forward to this podcast every week! Keep up the great work!! 👍🏼
12:33 That sync tho
I feel like, more than any other episode, the guys edited in clips of what they are talking about (Google searches, Edge feature, etc). As a former audio listener and now video subscriber - this is so cool! Again, I know youve done it before - but this episode seemed to have way more. Loved it.
The look on Marques' face for that bean question was priceless!!! Lol
These little goofier and little more unqiue episodes have been a blast
Definitely want an indepth video about these AI wars
When Boston Dynamics starts using A.I. in their robots, it’s game over
I think OpenAI is the first company which has made Google worry. Plus, google's chatbot messed up. Seems like they are going through a rough patch.
P.S: I've been waiting for the podcast since morning.
this is so sad.....lets not keep any more history questions and tree questions please...
Thing is all chatbots mess up. Even Bing chat does. And Google's thing was a marketing image not the actual product. OMHO worries about google failing are overblown
I listen to this podcast on my commute to and from college! It certainly makes the drive much more fun. Only problem is that new podcasts release on Friday, so I have to wait till the following Monday to listen to it on my drive.
I'd love to see a longer AI conversation. I'd want to see a discussion format, and it'd be great to get a professional/academic Cory Doctorow-type for the team to chat with.
You post it in every video 😂

I’ve had wireless charging capable phones since 2013.
I’ve owned a couple of chargers as well.
But I’ve never got hooked on to the idea, my usage usually allows me like a whole day of on time, and I charge it via cable over night. So a phone having or not having wireless charger has never been a deal breaker to me.
Hell yeah, more AI conversation. I really enjoyed the second part guys, good conversation

For the complaint on alerts, I'd prefer to swipe in one direction to go to settings so that I turn off that apps notifications. Why not enhance utility of having the direction of the swipe translate to additional options instead of the same in both directions? Seems nitpicking to me.
12:32 Jinx! XD that was hilarious.
Agriculture trivia is the true level playing ground 😂 everyone is evenly matched

Awesome episode! As someone that works with technology and financial markets, I really like your discussions about AI, please keep up!
100% worth a main channel video. Just got access to the new Bing… don’t remember being this excited about a product launch in a long time.
Also articles are (and will increasingly be) written by AI, so it's the blind leading the blind.
As for the Mung Bean, it sounds like something tropical, which usually have rainforests that rain so much that the soils are left sandy. That's my guess

The "recipe search" metaphor was really good.
Yes, absolutely do a main channel video on the AI stuff.

I like that David is always a part of the Podcast these days.
I would have liked to hear their opinion on how some content creators are not getting credit for what they create while others are getting credit for copying someone else's work. As always it was still a great discussion. keep up the good work.

My grandparents have an orange tree in their backyard and it’s a huge flex to offer some freshly squeezed OJ in morning. 😂
It's about time you guys got back to AI saga!
Long time MKBHD subscriber and fan, but it's my first time listening to this podcast and I must say, I love it! I'll totally be listening to it more regularl.
It really made me think the part where you guys speak about AIs pulling info from websites and those websites losing users. It's going to end up having the same problem as AI image generators have had, where the AI is using the work of some people without those people gaining anything from it. Here it's a bit different since as you said it could be somehow monetized but still they would be losing a lot in the interchange.
Very interesting to see how it's going to develop and I hope the big companies developing AIs have this in mind because I hate when companies launch new technologies and don't think of problems like that before hand. I also think that resolving problems like that will be the difference between the next big technology and just flashy trends, let see which company can actually properly develop it.

Me, a person who watches both tech youtube and agriculture youtube, had to do a double take at the last trivia question hahaha

Yes to an AI video.
Bonus points to spend time focusing on common employment roles & software that stand to be transformed with AI that has already been demonstrated.

30:00 to 30:45 reminding me of an old melodysheep videos about blackholes
Regarding the wireless charging discussion, I think its much more expensive than you might think because it takes quite a lot of copper manufactured to quite precise specification to hit acceptable efficiency levels. But more importantly, stuff like wifi7 and other cutting edge features like that usually come in a single chip typically from broadcom and the new one barely costs more than the older ones and maybe you get stuff like that almost for free packaged with the qualcom snapdragon system on a chip setups.
Yes. Give us an in-depth on AI.
Interesting! Thanks for sharing it ✌️
Mung beans are, of course, what make up _nokdu bindaetteok_ [녹두 빈대떡, _nokdu_ 녹두 = mung bean, _lit._ “green bean”], a Korean savory pancake. (You can get them at any Korean market that sells hot food.) Very delicious!
Can't wait to hear a full video thoughts on AI *"war"*

Marques’ speechlessness at 1:10:30 killed me. Lmao.
Re the new Bing, I think a close answer (and not exactly accurate) is good enough for a lot of situations. Also wondered why you didn't look much at its use cases from a consumer perspective.
I want to see a comparison of all the AIs when the big 4 (MS,APL,Google,AMZ) are all out. 🤟🏾👏🏾

Yes to more AI!
Loved the Game Theorists tribute 😉🤘
It’s interesting to me that they’re so into wireless charging. My last 2 phones have had it but charging wirelessly is just slower and more annoying that wired charging imo. I never use it
My coworker and I had a discussion about this the other day following Google's event that was basically David's point at 46:50. All of this depends on the information that is fed to it. Not just what if people stop making the content on what is being searched but what about when there is a lot of misinformation about something?
this is so sad.....lets not keep any more history questions and tree questions please...
I think at least for now, things like Bard and the new Bing will need to be treated like Wikipedia. It’s a nice starting point, but it’s necessary to continue doing research.

Maybe Google and Microsoft should be paying the sources they pull information from. If it’s gonna take micro transactions to make this new model work, then they should take on that cost. We can still peruse the website ourselves and engage with ads.
How are they going to pay for that exactly? How do you determine how much each source gets? And how do you pay for something you cannot directly monetize?
I dont want to be rude but honestly this is too much, this is a horrible idea.
Especially when you know that I can literally ask Bing itself to write me a website, it can get the idea for me, write the texts, write the code, everything.
And then they have to pay me for using my website which bing made? Lmao don’t you see the loophole here?
And my idea isnt far fetched, idk if you noticed but nowadays literally every single website looks the same, acts the same, says the same things. Bunch of AI generated copy paste content.
@Carl Gunderson right and now that Google isn’t directing users to the websites, that relationship has changed. These sites need revenue to operate and Google needs them to provide info for their AI models. They should figure out that relationship amongst themselves instead of passing on the cost to the users. If Google wants to surface info without crediting the original author, it’s their job to figure out how to compensate the author for their work.
@@nuvjoti without crediting the original author? But Bing does include sources tho
I love how the suggested solution to the death of the ad model, is to have other people pay for a thing lol Some deep, deep irony here
This one is a really good and interesting podcast 👌
I really feel allowing web developers to implement affiliate links for link pulling could help with the advertisement issue. I know it sounds difficult to do but it should not really be that difficult if web developers could integrate it into their site build. Especially if it pulls many links at the same time. It is a pretty fair solution all things considered, especially considering the volume of links displayed given a request. This would increase visibility for lesser know sites. Yeah, it changes the structure of how they operate, but this will be a far higher volume and competitive eco system. Now you don't need to go to a site for and answer, but for information. Quality of information is more important when the chat option takes away the need for defined answers to questions.
this is so sad.....lets not keep any more history questions and tree questions please...
I've had wireless chargers and wired chargers and I always go back to the wired charging. I don't think a phone not having wireless charging is a deal breaker.
The best part of wireless charging that I use is the reverse wireless charging..
Awww the Game Theory reference!!
@12:33 Did Marques and David say that together? so synced lol

What watch band is Marques wearing? looks dope
Yes, having wireless charging on the OnePlus 11 would be great but com'mon, you get amazing battery life and super fast charging to make it really unnecessary for wireless. You have to be connected to a wall charger for the wireless that is slow so I just don't see the point.
Mung Bean Tech Link:
Mung beans are being used by companies like Just Foods to make vegan meat substitutes like Just Egg!
Just Egg is an egg substitute that you can cook and use like you could eggs in most situations 😄
I think an interesting video idea would be you making a video on a topic and then giving Ai the same topic and telling it to make the same video as you and compare them.

I see new phones being better and better but having picked up a Z Flip 4 is now waaaaay harder for me to even think of going back to a non-flipable phone! 😔 I know the ZF4 is not a top tier phone at this point but going back to barely being able to fit a phone in my pocket, among other flex-features, maaaan I would miss the heck out of that if I move on... And I hate that 😂
