Good afternoon, Ken; Thank you for stopping by as well as the comments. The best part of Fort Morgan is the departure for elsewhere. LOL! If one plans a day here, the local museum is a good place to start. This time of year, the pickings are on the slim side. We are about an hour drive from Denver and the metro area, 2 hours from Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park, Cheyenne, Wyoming is about the same travel time with the Union Pacific Steam Shops visible from US 85 bridge into downtown Cheyenne. Fort Morgan is a convenient stop for travelers in I-76 as well as the Zephyr. Thid station beats the traffic and parking nightmares of downtown Denver. For the Wyoming and western South Dakota travelers who have no AMTRAK service, it is a great place to start or end rail travel. That's about the beat I can describe what we have here. It is a farming community with rail service. Anyway, I hope that you have a great afternoon and evening back there. Please take care and stay safe!

The high country is in full color with the Aspens and other hardwoods. Out here, the leaves are just turning brown and falling off without any nice color changes. The wind chill this morning was telling by all of us somewhat underdressed for the winds. I won't make that error tomorrow morning. Now, if the wind would shift as predicted, and the smoke lift out I would be much obliged. We have a good chance of seeing the Northern lights tonight and tomorrow. Cost them more than having the weed sprayer come thru last spring. It does look better than the weed jungle it had become. To think the BNSF has several weed sprayer trains across the system yet none were routed thru here. I don't run the railroad. I just carp about what they should have done if they weren't being run by the bean counters in New York City who answer to the "Oracle of Omaha".
