I eat keto, mostly animal based, OMAD early in the evening. I play tennis fasted, bike rides fasted. Ketosis gives me huge energy. I am getting stronger, gaining muscles! 53, in peri menopause. Keto and IF have cured my fibromyalgia. I do keto and IF for health and feeling great, not for losing weight (my BMI is at 18.5 all my life).
Speaking from experience, your low BMI puts you at much higher risk of osteoporosis. I’m 65 now, and regret not going on bioidentical HRT at menopause (to minimize bone loss). Ask for a DEXA, or a REMs, to determine your bone mineral density. Take care.❤️
@@beyondfitrd Hi thanks for the tips! I do not worry about osteoporose nor sarcopenia. I am strong. I eat lots of animal protein and fat. I do not want HRT. I think menopause is natural, I do not want to go against nature. I will ask for a dexa to be sure.
We have found ur many videos on UA-cam most helpful in understanding ketones. Sylvia had ketone flu and took wk to recover but did not effect me. Having type 2 diabetes and on metformin for years and now in our 80s..am most interested in what I can do with adding exogenous ketones like MCT oil and salts to our TRE diet. We began that about 4 yrs ago and if has been a life changer for us. I am retired gastroenterologist...We live in SWFL and would like to find a online clinics to help advise us in our wholeness health adventures. Your teaching is excellent.
Your comments on benefist of exercise are greatly supported by science - example would be Dr. Wendy Suzuki's work. Also Shane O'Mara as a big advocate of walking. Both are neuroscientists. Then there's older work by Mark Mattson on both exercise and daily fasiting (TRE). I exericse in the morning like Dr. Wendy, and it makes a big difference in how I feel (mcuh better) and how clearly I think. Also do TRE with first food around noon, and I feel this adds to my mental clarity first part of the day.
It‘s not that simple. I‘m in for 5 weeks now, carbs 20 g or less, lots of fats, moderate protein. I got a Sibio sensor so l can track my ketone levels constantly. I am astonished at how often the level goes down in a non ketogenic state (under 0.3). During the night it also isn‘t ketogenic. I’ve never been diabetic or prediabetic and always had very healthy eating habits (mostly organic). My best ketone production seems to happen in the late afternoon, but also then the level is a little bit above 1.0. I would like to get in the therapeutic zone of around 2.0 but that does not happen by itself.

They both showed up to a keto interview wearing Dr. Pepper uniforms.

What brand of keto greens powder does Dominic recommend?
Skeptical. If you're on a ketogenic diet, you should be making plenty of ketones without a ketone supplement.

Some pple have years of chronic Metabolic Syndrome and hormonal issues..... solution is not linear
Dr. Agustino; you almost lost all of your credibility when you said you took NAD or NMN and Resveratrol supplements
