    My suggestion for Emirates:
Retrofit all A380s with new first, business and premium economy seats.
    Convert the existing order of 787-9s to 25 777-9s and 10 777-8s.
Place an order of 20 A350-1000 to top off the order of 50 A350-900.

They are because they are a HUB airline with the infrastructure that can handle the plane. Most airports in the U.S can't even handle it. They are still going to start to retire them simple because they are expensive per mile to operate v. the 787,777x and other newer two engine plane.

People don’t realize that the A380 wasn’t that successful financially and that one Gulf airline alone bought most of the A380 in existence and the government controlled national flag carriers of Airbus countries each bought only a few. Few airlines outside of the Gulf carriers and Airbus flag carrier bought A380s and each only bought a few. This is why the French government wrote off a 200 million euro loan to Airbus in the mid 2000s.

the Emirati full service flag carrier is looking to acquire new variants of the A380-800 & has been pursuing AIRBUS ever since . . . maybe AIRBUS could use this opportunity & launch the A380-900 Neo LR which is a stretched variant of the A380-800 . . . the stretched A380-900 Neo LR double decker wide body quad jet was a concept that AIRBUS presented to the world back in 2012 to gain customer feedback . . . infact the A380-900 Neo LR is the only variant (conceptual never built) that came very close to becoming a reality . . . Emirates will be very interested in the A380-900 Neo LR stretched fuselage variant of the A380-800 . . . the notion that if AIRBUS launches the stretched A380-900 Neo LR or any other A380-800 variant, Emirates will be the only customer gunning for it is totally wrong . . . other full service operators will consider acquiring the A380-900 Neo LR in addition to Emirates . . . especially if AIRBUS manages to launch the A380-900 Neo LR with a state-of-the-art cutting edge hybrid aero propulsion system, in the interest of achieving better fuel efficiency . . .

No. That's just Tim Clark running his mouth. Airbus has moved on from the 380. Airbus completely shut down the supply chain for the aircraft and already using the final assembly line for other aircraft. It's just not happening.

@@johniii8147 hope AIRBUS listens to Tim Clark . . . because clearly there is a valid market & need for double decker wide body quad jets . . . hybrid jet propulsion alone can sustain wide body quad jets . . . hybrid jet propulsion has the same tech as your TOYOTA Prius i-HYBRID 1.8 VVTi I4 + 58.3 kWh iSMARTPower® Li-ion 5-Dr Hatchback (RHD), only that hybrid jet propulsion is re-engineered for a far bigger & efficient power management architecture across a wider spectrum . . . it'll reduce fuel costs by more than 55% & it's proven . . .

FlyDubai business class is really great, especially if you get the single seat row, with no one next to you and a nice surface on either side to park your laptop and items. Also, a much faster trip through DXB T2 (the smallest terminal at DXB) and a dedicated business class boarding gate just adds to the convenience and speed for business commutes.

Seems like the A350 too won't make it in time by 2024.

Yes, Emirates should get the 10 abreast a350 to replace the a380 instead. It will be hilarious when fanboys fly from Dubai to JFK on seats narrower than the CRJ's, more especially after trolling seats on Boeing jets for years 😭😂😂

Emirates should ditch the A350. Emirates should go ALL BOEING. Who needs a plane that peels itself? Emirates ordered the best planes today. The #1 long range plane 787 and the capacity champion 777X. Why buy a second rated aircraft when you have the best plane and the best manufacturer, Boeing.
