This reminds me of books we made in grade school. It may have been for Young Authors. You wrote a story and made a book for it. I really want to share this with my daughters!
What a great video! This is exactly what I wanted to learn, and Annette, you made it so easy to understand. Thank you for posting such an excellent video! ❤
Thank you so much Annette I really really enjoyed watching you create all these amazing and inspiring journals. I made my granddaughters a journal each one year, instead of a birthday card. And even though I say it they turned out really well and the girls loved them too. So mission accomplished. I love ❤❤❤❤❤ these that you’ve created too. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
WOW- this is amazing. Annette, thank you for generously sharing all your tips, tricks and fabulous finished journals. Your teaching style and step by step instructions are exceptional- very easy to follow! Your paper and fabric choices are wonderful. Thank you!
Wonderful! Thanks. Have fun making yours. I did find that the Kraft Tex alone was a bit flimsy, which I think I mention in the video, so you'll want to line it or double it up for it not to bend too much. Especially the prewashed kind.
Awesome Jama! I would definitely double it up, or put a layer of reinforcement on the inner spine if you go with the Kraft Tex method. It tends to bend too much on a single layer. Thanks for watching.
Very nice journals, Annette! I would love any one of them in my stocking. I've done the three hole phamplet stitch, but not the five. Didn't look too hard to do. I will more than likely be making some of these. Thank you and take care.
Hi Carole and thank you! The five-hole stitched binding is definitely not "hard" just a little tedious for some people. It's my personal favorite though. It really holds up well like a real book. I hope you enjoy making yours.
Wanted to tell you I enjoyed your vlog! Maybe you could demonstrate your selphy printer. I have one that is much smaller and would like to see how the large one works.
Hi Kathy and thank you. I am keeping a running list of things to share in my next vlog, so thank you. I've added your request to the list. Thanks for watching.
Love the journals. I'm new to inks so I have a question. I love the faint image of the flowers. Do I remember or misremember, oxides are water reactive, will the ink smear if writing in the journal with a marker? Thanks.
Thank you Nancy, and that's an excellent question. Yes, Oxides are water reactive, so I would stay away from a marker. Instead I would use a ballpoint pen. If i had a light enough ink in archival, I would've used that. Thanks for watching and for your question.
I always get so excited when I see that you have a new journal out!! I love them all. Can I ask what glue stick you use? I’m having trouble finding one that works well
Thanks so much Sherry. I've been using Uhu Stic lately and it's my new favorite. Here's a link to my Amazon favorites if you want to check it out: www.amazon.com/shop/annettegreen?ref=ac_inf_tb_vh
I’m new to your channel. I have purchase some Elizabeth Crafts planner essentials and would like to store on magnetic sheets. Can you recommend a brand. I’ve looked online and many comments say the magnets are not strong enough for dies. Thank you so much.
I love each of these journals Annette. Thank you for taking the time to prepare this instructional video. I really want to try creating the chipboard journal. The designer paper you used is beautiful. I wish you and your family a joyous Christmas season. 🎄
Thank you so much! I hope you DO try one. The hard cover one is my personal favorite and I hope to make more soon. Have fun with yours and Happy Holidays to you as well. ❤
Sorry for the delayed response. Here's the perfect video for you to check out, as I recently reviewed different die-cutting machines and what I like to use: ua-cam.com/video/kXSWFaGI5FI/v-deo.htmlsi=5jZcuXxkzbCTwv4W

This was so informative. I’m going to try that elastic version first.
Wonderful! Thanks. Have fun making yours. I did find that the Kraft Tex alone was a bit flimsy, which I think I mention in the video, so you'll want to line it or double it up for it not to bend too much. Especially the prewashed kind.

Hi Karen, and welcome! I’m glad you found me, and enjoyed this video.
Just found some Kraft Ed in my stash that I had forgotten I had purchased 🙃. Tyfs these ideas!!!
Awesome Jama! I would definitely double it up, or put a layer of reinforcement on the inner spine if you go with the Kraft Tex method. It tends to bend too much on a single layer. Thanks for watching.
I usually wait until the sewing is done and then trim the fore-edge, then round those edges.
I am so going to try all 3 !!! Thank You for sharing ! (I’m pretty excited!)
Yay! I hope you do! Thanks for your excitement!!
I love this video so much💕Thanks Annette😊Gina Peterson-Tennessee

loved this!!
Wonderful! Thank you.
Absolutely LOVE these! You are so talented. Would you mind telling me what die cutting machine do you use?
Sorry for such a late reply. I use the Sizzix Vagabond 2 machine for most of my die-cutting.
Love your videos.❤❤
Thanks so much Marie. That's so nice to hear.

Thank you. I just ordered it!
Love it! 🖤
Thanks Marie Claire!
Tyvek or other synthetic paper (stone paper) is great for strengthening the spine.
I've never heard of Stone Paper, so that's interesting. Thanks Sharon.

@@AnnetteGreen thank you so much!! 🥰♥️
Thanks for the inspiration, you could also have used tyvek to re-enforce the first journal
Yes! Tyvek too. Thanks. I even have some of that in my stash.
File folder set 1 and file folder set 2, are they the same size folders on both 1 and 2.
Yes, same size
Fab!
Thanks Mary!
Love how you made the journals Annette, thank you for showing us ! ❤❤❤
Thanks Esther! I loved making them. That file folder die is the perfect size.
