Stencils are definitely something I tend to forget about too and, for some reason, embossing folders. Weird, huh? Sometimes we just need reminding. So happy you liked the pages.
Annette - so nice to see you again!! You are so inspiring with your designs and colors, I love the new pages - so creative and beautiful!! Thank you very much for teaching new techniques, tips and tricks!!!
I love that you show us a variety of tecniques to use in our ECD journals... I've been watching some videos on using toilet paper in moulds and with stamps/sencils... they would make beautiful pages too -have you done that before? I'm wondeing about using layered die cuts with the toilet paper... my next give it a try....
I love how you prepare your make aheads Annette. Could you explain (may be in another video) how you cut your photos just to size, so that they fit perfectly into the frame you prepared pls ? I tried but can't do it nicely. A trick of yours would be much appreciated ;-) And thanks for all the techniques you teach me along the road !
Hi Nicole and thank you. I have made video called “Prepping Photos for your Planner” about a year ago that might help you. As you’ll see, it’s really no magical secret. I measure the space for the photo, then make my photo that size, then print it and cut it out. Let me know if that other video helps though.
Thanks Bettie! If you're talking about my Nature planner, I stenciled the background first with Archival Black ink, then adhered some fussy cut images from Graphic 45's Nature Notebook papers using matte medium gel as my adhesive and also as my top coat.
I have a question about the colour wheel you are using in this video. Can you share with us where you found it? I have tried to refer to various other versions of colour wheels but this looks like you can see everything working together at one glance instead of having to rotate circles etc. I appreciate your videos very much as I have just recently started working with ECD products and find what you show is so beautiful and informative. Thank you from Canada 🇨🇦.
Hi Sandy. I simply Goodled "Color Wheel" then clicked "Images" at the top and picked a simple one to print out. No rotating circles, just a nice print-out on my home printer.
Thank you so much Kari. I do mine from home myself, using PhotoShop Elements. I created a video about a year ago showing how I do this. “Prepping Photos for your Planner” that you might find helpful. Check it out and let me know if you have any further questions. I’m happy to help!

What size are your photos and what do you use to print them?
Love your journals!
Thanks! That makes me so happy. Hope you give it a try yourself. Thanks for watching.
If you are not using the Switch for die cutting which machine are you using? Would love to know. Thanks.
I continue to use my Sizzix Vagabond 2 and for smaller dies, I use my Empress Mini by Anna Griffin. Both of these are about 3x as fast as the Switch.
wauw I love it
Wonderful Saskia! Thank you. I’m so glad you enjoyed it.
