I once commented on one of Tommy's more humble performances, and some young gentleman in all of his sincerity and uninformed knowledge made an attempt to enrich me that today there are some equivalent "pickers". OK, so I completely and professionally informed him while there are some truly good pickers out there, Tommy Emmanuel also does not rely on polished production when he plays. He could, but he doesn't, as his live performance are always insanely brilliant. This performance is as are too many others, a testament of Tommy's unabashed guitar genius.. Passionate, deep, and with a smile, Tommy will play ALL OF the instrument.. To which there is no equal. Thank you Mr Emmanuel for showing us, as well as playing, such Amazing Grace.
Wow, some people (above responders) don't know a compliment when they hear one. Consider, I do play guitar for over 40 years, have seen his show here in NYC several times (have you), and am a huge fan, you're not saying anything. Tommy has oodles of production skills, but the comment wasn't about that. Get a life. Can you now, can you tell, I don't play guitar. Lol. Brilliant.
I could NEVER give Mr. E a thumbs down! He is a master player, (another sage/wise guitar performer-teacher Mr. Linc Chamberlain from Norwalk CT then New Milford CT told me once nobody “masters” the guitar”!!!) the only downside for me is that the performance is SO over the top that it overshadows the Amazing Grace of God given to world through his Son the Lord Jesus Christ which is what the hymn is about...no knock on the obvious virtuosity of Tommy...”For the GRACE of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to ALL men...Titus 2:11

Beyond words....outstanding beauty and work
I once commented on one of Tommy's more humble performances, and some young gentleman in all of his sincerity and uninformed knowledge made an attempt to enrich me that today there are some equivalent "pickers".
There's no equal? Speak for yourself. This is terrible.
@@markpennington8540 I can tell you don't play the Guitar!
@@markpennington8540 Have you no soul?
Troll alert
I've played acoustic guitar for a long time, and I said 'oh shit' and 'Damn' more than a lot a times during this. Great spirit and presence from Tommy E dog!
