Just as info. It is Noel Gallagher who sang this. Not Liam who sings most of the songs.. Liam sang on your first Oasis reaction. And yes. this was a big hit. Nr 1 in the uk. It have also become a hymn like song in the uk after the Manchester Terror Attack during Ariana Grande's concert. Most of the UK know this song inside out.
When this came out in 1994, it was a refreshing change of pace from the grunge and alternative stuff on the radio. It was more classic, with an obvious nod to John Lennon's "Imagine."
A big hit?! It was and is huge. Its perfect song for a crowd to sing along too Check out Noel performing this track with the Argentinian crowd at the River Plate Stadium.
Fair opinion… Nowhere near my favourite. But there’s a difference between best and favourite. I wouldn’t say it’s their best either, not by a long shot. But that’s the beauty about opinion 👍
On this song it’s Noel who is the main songwriter/guitarist doing the vocals. Usually it’s his brother Liam on vocals but Noel has his own ban as well where he is the vocalist. Check out Masterplan if you want to hear another good Noel sung Oasis tune
Noel and Liam Gallagher are two of the biggest tool bags the industry has ever produced. That being said and there’s no denying, Noel is the genuinely talented one, a tremendous songwriter, and personally my preferred singer of the two. This a great song, and if you’re hearing a little “Imagine” in the opening, that is purposeful and admitted by Noel who is a huge John Lennon fan.
Does anyone have music or songs that you listened to as a little kid and years even decades later it takes you back to when you didn’t know music or realized what music was.. I remember being a little kid when this song was really popular and decades later I thought “🤔 I know I’ve heard this before.. I think when I was a little kid.. or maybe a past life” 😂
The most Beatles sounding song they had I believe, always enjoyed the track. It's too bad the brothers had so much bad blood, probably still do, I am sure they could have done a lot more amazing things.
You are comparing vocals like there is only one singer . This is your first reaction with Noel Gallagher on vocals who is also the guitar players and he wrote most of songs . The lead vocalist - Liam Gallagher - is not singing here though there are moments in the video that you can see him . This song is super popular in UK . It is often played on stadiums where all sport fans sing the song like an anthem .
This song was the nail in the coffin for oasis for me (i bet tehy are devastated 😅). I thought definately maybe and all the bsides were incredible. Thought the same of whatever and some might say. Thought roll with it was ok...pretty disappointed by the second album but i still dont get why this was so huge
Honestly, I don't expect an Oasis song to be up at the 9s, but it was a really good score on the scale. That being said, Champagne Supernova will always be the number 1 😂
Every time I listen to Oasis I think of “I am the Eggman, I Am the Walrus” 😂 I used to love Oasis but all I hear now is a John Lennon/Beatles Rip Off 😂
@ 😂 nah it’s been before that.. you can tell the take a huge inspiration from the Beatles.. I remember seeing a video a long time ago of a new game “Guitar Hero Oasis” 😂 and they said “Play guitar and sound like a band… who sounds like another band” 😂 because they ripped off the Beatles so much 😂
I was not a big Oasis fan, but the were cranking out some undeniably good pop tunes back in the day.
Can’t wait to see you react to an oasis song with Liam (lead singer) singing

That being said Oasis loved Nirvana
1995, though

Oasis are unbelievable in the chorus game👍
Very, very top drawer
Their best song.

Also "Talk tonight" or "Falling down" .
this song is a bona fide sing along British anthem
basically the beatles
I completely understand your previous point on Oasis. But it's always nice when people realize that Oasis isn't just Wonderwall 😂😂
Good song very appropriate for the 90s
You need to listen some punk style oasis. Songs like fade away, cigarettes and alcohol, bring it on down, headshrinker. You gonna enjoy this
I agree!!! I imagine David giving these songs a 9? Of course not, but it would be cool to see a reaction.
This is basically just Canon in D.

This one was done vocally by Noel Gallagher the main songs though are usually by his brother Liam Gallagher
This song shares a lot with Imagine by John Lennon chordally
Just this song? 😂
“Start a Revolution from my Bed” 😂
Nope there's quite a few that has used The Beatles and John Lennon @@douglasmijangos3327

Number 1 in UK Charts 1996
His singing tone is that weird strange Cartoon-like voice John Lennon had in the Sgt Pepper’s/Magical Mystery Tour/Hippie era 😂

Love this band. Pretty sure the Gallagher brothers still look back in anger. They'll get you there.

It'd be so funny if someone requested ksi thick of it
A pretty low score for Oasis's best ever song. Ouch. 😅
7.2 is a good score actually.
Champaign supernova was probably there best imo.
@@1993reefblue I've rarely seen a lower one. Lol

@Thiago.Carvalho15 Champagne Supernova wasn't even a single in the UK.

They covered "I Am The Walrus" so that's probably why

This song is like marmite in the uk. It’s a great song but massively overplayed
Yep. That's the word. Overplayed.
