I understand that this was the largest district in the state. But now you have created a nightmare. Taxes will go up for everyone and the cost of 3 school boards is insane. There will be a bidding war for the teachers who can pay the most. There are millions of dollars in licensing fees for all of the computers that will have to be paid by all of the districts. Each school has security and cameras that will have to be maintained and there is a cost that will have to be paid. Then there will be bonds for new schools and maintaining the ones in place. Sports will benefit the northwest because they will have more sponsors than the south. A two way spilt is what is should be not 3 way. All of the money will be in the west and north districts the south will suffer. The Jordan spilt cost many hard feelings and they still argue today many years later. This will not age well watch and see
Two more district leadership organizations taxpayers need to pay for. Alpine was doing a fine job managing the school district. It is just a way to create upper education jobs and bloat the system even more.
@@justaquilter2 You are correct, but what do schools in Eagle Mointain need that they dont get? There are specialists and adminitration assigned to help meet the needs of schools in that area.
I'm glad its being split. They had too much power and have gone Woke. Parents have the right to know what is happening to their children and the truth of what they are being taught!
@@betina1354 you know that it’s teachers that bring the “woke” to school. Changing the names on the stationary isn’t going to make any difference. Any administration will have little legal authority to challenge teachers on their beliefs.
People on the west side weren't getting what they needed, so they left. Can't get too upset about that. I would be just as upset if I had that problem and no place for recourse.
People are moving into poorly structured and underdeveloped Utah county at a rate that far exceeds any means of properly providing infrastructure for. We weren’t getting the short end of the stick, we were just having unrealistic expectations about when. Now we won’t get what we need, because half our schools local funding was coming from the cities we just cut off, and bonds and tax hikes take time to materialize. Careful what you wish for.
WHOA.. hold up, I live in Pleasant Grove and this was not on my ballot. This was rigged.
Because we’re still in Alpine SD.

Incorrect, taxes will go DOWN for us all.

Draper is going to leave Canyons school district?
@@SoshoallyUnfit Yes.
No really, the west side of
Orem was totally forgotten total negligence.
You clearly don't have kids going to school in Eagle Mountain.

Three of everything. Yup, that’s efficient. Let the tax hikes begin.
