I am in love with this song, and now I'm in love with you. The new passacaglia BC sounds great; it has a deep elegance and is the perfect edition for any dwarf bard wannabe, like myself :)
This is truly beautiful, it really shows how astounding the Ocarina can be. I get tingles when I hear this. Thank you so much for playing this. My heart thanks you too.
Cris you so inspired me. I purchased the STL Aria and the LotR Elf ocarinas (LOVE THEM). I've played piano all my life and read music. The very first song I picked up on the ocarina was Stairway To Heaven (oddly enough) and I'm finally getting the hang of reading ocarina music. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world. (P.S. love, love, love the Aria...well done.)

WOO!! Awesome! I was waiting for somebody to make this video :D
This reminded me of when I was a kid. I used to watch the cartoon versions of the Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and other similar movies like the Last Unicorn. They really tried to stick to a medieval folky feeling in the music. This was just like it. Wonderful Cris ^_^ thanks for the nostalgia.
Mmmm. I checked out DocJazz4's cover of this, and while it is pretty good, I think your performance really captures the feeling of the original, and I love that. I should probably check more of your videos out. The last one I saw (and I think the only other one) was your little fugue self-duet, which introduced me to that song and got me hooked on it. Anyway, thanks for making such a great cover!
Brilliant :) I agree that the sounds of those ocarinas meld well together and make this song so soothing to listen to. Nice location, too!! That's interesting about the shadow sundial. Tee hee, I'm so happy you did this! It's awesome to see so many others excited for The Hobbit :)
One of the things that would make this sound more full is if they had a BASS like Ocorina that would really give it that skin tingling feeling just like it does in the movie with the deep dwarf voices.
***** I guess i did not hear it as profoundly after relisting to it. A stringed bass or bass flute would make that lower pitched sound to give it some solid backing.
That was beautiful Cris!! I was hoping someone would do this song on the ocarina. I can't wait to see The Hobbit! You did a wonderful job on this song! And I agree with your cloak statement! lol maybe some day.
Hey Cris, Lovely song, what's it called ? Misty Mountain Cold ? Lovely just lovely... Hearing this song reminds me of nature. I really love your playing !
Beautiful! ^_^ I love how the bass ocarinas sound. I know it's silly but my ears can be sensitive to higher tones, so I'm hoping to try learning the bass despite it being a bit bigger for beginners.
This is just beautiful. I want to learn to play the ocarina, but I want this deep, melodious sound, not the high-pitched piping sound most ocarina's seem to have (like a penny whistle).
I absolutely loved this video. It had that Lord of the Rings feel to it. I was wondering if you had sheet music to this or if you played it by ear? Either or, I still think this was an amazing performance like all the others you have done.
It has some weight to it, but after some practice you'll get used to it. Just don't play it too long when you're just starting out. Build up to longer playing sessions :)
Beautiful job Cris. Loved the arrangement and cinematography :)
My page refreshed and the video restarted and I've never been so pleased to hear the intro to a song again :)
Just one word: beautiful.
I am in love with this song, and now I'm in love with you. The new passacaglia BC sounds great; it has a deep elegance and is the perfect edition for any dwarf bard wannabe, like myself :)
This has inspired me to learn to play ocarina

OMG!! I just really CRIED! T_T This is incredibly heart moving and special...!!! My husband will melt all over with this......
This is truly beautiful, it really shows how astounding the Ocarina can be. I get tingles when I hear this. Thank you so much for playing this. My heart thanks you too.
Your such a great teacher and ocarina player chris. Thanks so much for your hal leonard video's
That's a really nice Sweet Potato ocarina with a low tuning, fits perfectly for this song, beautiful! Awesome video as well. :)

Beautiful rendition.
And coincidentally, posted on the same day I decided to learn the tune myself. Funny how things work out like that. :)
I couldn’t agree more clocks are awesome
Very beautiful deep rich tones. I loved this video. Your head piece looks great on you, too! :)

The larger one IS a bass.

Lovely just lovely... Hearing this song reminds me of nature. I
really love your playing !
Thanks! I can't wait either :)
She's playing the Ocarina. The larger one is a Bass Ocarina, and the smaller one is a regular Tenor.
Thank you :) I'm definitely seeing it opening night at midnight. It's going to be a late night, but totally worth it!
Thanks. I definitely want to do more videos like this. It's probably going to get too cold pretty soon, but maybe in the spring :)
Aw thanks :) The Passacaglia is a great bass ocarina, especially considering its price!
Awesome! I'm hoping to do a version of this soon, if I can only find the time. I love your counterpoint.
Incredible.
I just got my ocarina today! :D
Thank you very much! I really love how bass ocarinas sound.
Thank you Cyrille!
Beautiful! ^_^

Thank you! It definitely won't :) I'll be playing the ocarina as long as I live!

Good job ! :)
Wow you really look like an elf!
I'm planning on buying the passacaglia ocarina...I was wondering if I could have the tabs to this? I want to become a professional player.
Looks like a park I go to close to Dallas.
merci =)

I might make a second profile just so I can like this twice :)
Austin Wintory sent me :D
You're welcome.
,Maybe we should just start a new trend.
I like the sound of your Ocarina. Is it a bass one? Or bigger than others? Who's the manufacturer?
It's a 12 Hole Bass C by STL. And it is called Passacaglia.
Is the song changed by computer eny way?
where can i find this tab?
What is the little red and black Ocarina called?
It's my Aria design in G. You can find it here : www.stlocarina.com/aria4g.html (feel free to use my discount code cristeachesme when you order it) ;)
