It's from a series in Japan called "The Silk Road". The music from the series was composed by Kitaro. The music and series were so good, it launched his career.
I have long enjoyed this music of Kitaro, but never thought about how it would sound on an ocarina. It turns out to be a great piece for ocarina. Beautifully played.
Will you be doing a product review of the stl purple clay 3ple bass ocarina? I luv watching your reviews, they really give indepth info. Please play more on bass ocarinas, i'm absolutely inlove with the sound!
I just discovered STL ocarinas and purchased one of the zelda collections (12-hole transverse and soprano pendant rupee). You are very good, and as ampersandwiches has stated, very informative.
Check out Kuolong Pan, Sojiro, Milt Ocarina, You Xue-shi, Giorgio Pacchioni, Vera Unfried, Fabio Galliani, Cyrille Mercadier, Kengi Ogawa, Nancy Rumbel, Micaco Honya, Paolo Gavelli, Emiliano Bernagozzi... There are so many. All of these players inspire me and there are many many more.
Don't give it another thought. This is youtube :) The fact that you can write coherently puts you miles above most. I have to say, My subscribers are much better than the average youtuber and for that I'm thankful :) I've heard about that anime. I watch anime with friends almost every Friday night and we were debating watching that. We're watching the new Hellsing right now, but I'll keep that one in mine for the next one :)
It does really have a nice tune. There are just too many soprano singers and soprano flutes/ocarinas etc. I really like to hear a deeper tune for a change, so thank you!
Wow, that's an awfully nice thing to say. There are lots of ocarinist that are much better players than I am, and Maestro Pacchioni is truly amazing. I am glad you like my playing, but if you're interested in hearing the other players that inspire me, send me a message and I'll send you some links :)
Thanks! I'm not very confident of my singing voice. If you look up my Danny Boy video on this channel, I sing part of the last verse. I'm not sure when I'll sing on video again, but I'll remember this comment and let you know :)
I love to listen to you playing the ocarina in such a breathtaking and stunning way. You're the second best ocarina player I've ever heard of. Only Giorgio Pacchioni plays a little better than you do
It's a future based anime, about the first full sensory stimulating video game that disables your physical body and allows the user to perform a "full dive" into the realm of the game and the legendary story of a young man named Kirito that unfolds after the games creator traps the initial ten thousand players in the game and informs them that death in the game will mean death in reality and the only means of escape is to complete all 100 floors of the game and defeat it's final boss.
okay I need a crash course in definition of ocarina terms - so off to STL website I go. I'm noticing this "triple bass" still has very high frequency notes which are hard for me to hear and gets to the ranges where I can't distinguish one from other. I was under the (obviously mistaken) impression that the use of the word "bass" would indicate lower bass notes.?? and there were some lower... but I guess also there are just more holes so one can play a wider range like two octaves or more?? It's still pretty!! (I remember hearing YoYo Ma playing this on cello.).
Sub: Film Student looking for an Ocarina track Hi Cris, I have looked at most of your songs and really love it! I am studying in one of the top 25 film schools in the world and I am currently working on a short film for my thesis project. I am telling a love story that happens in a fictional fantasy world and the lead female actress plays Ocarina in a bar. I need few tracks that I can use for my film and submit it to film festivals and student Oscar category. I want to ask you if you can please help me with few of the tracks? Please let me know. I sincerely look forward to hearing from you. Many thanks, Jampa

Well I would put your name Cris Gale on the List of players who inspire us to play the Ocarina :)

KSMSDRPEPPER The lowest notes start on the same notes as a bass ocarina, which is C4. From there it goes up and up :)
I'll blessing your play. from Korea...
Thank you!
wow...
👍👍👍
Beautiful as always Cris. Just a random question, have you seen the anime "Sword Art Online"? I think you'd really enjoy it.
