I really enjoyed your video. I've been a cosmetologist for 29 years and of all the at home videos I've watched I yours sits the best with me. Your presentation is humble, I enjoyed it very much. One the those color companies should use you to sell their product. Keep up the good work.
I’ve been experimenting with toners and this has been super helpful! When I bleach my hair it lightens to a 9/10. When I tried the Virgin Snow by Manic Panic it stained parts of my hair purple and had a green tint to it. Maybe I left it on too long or something but I was devastated because it is kind of expensive considering how much product comes in a jar! I have tried the Wella T-18 and it gave my hair a purple tint which isn’t what i was going for. One of my favorites to use is the Ion Icy White toner.
I love your hair color in this video it's the exact color I used to be until I thought that I could pull off brown hair. I agree with you about having some golden/warmer tones as it really goes beautifully with your skin tone and eye color. It's a very rich natural blonde. Great job on the video!
This toner video is SO fantastic. So much great information, if you follow her tips it's a lot harder to fuck up your home bleach. Pro tip: the Blonde Brilliance Misty Rose toner is great for eliminating green tones from your blonde hair without staining it super pink.
for real wish my hair looked that good, seems like the any type of process I put my hair through no matter how small just damages the crap out of my hair
OMG THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH for making this video!!!!!! I've been struggling with brassy hair ever since I started bleaching my hair!!!!!! i've always been a light brown to dark blond and thanks to you, now I know which one doesn't work for me and save my hair for another damage!!!! THANK YOU SERIOUSLY!!!!
+tracyyim haha no problem!! :) :) and no I havnt put 050 on myself, but I had a friend do it once and by itself it can turn pretty dark grey depending on your hair level. I think it's probably better just to add a couple drops of the 050 to another toner such as t11 or t18 if you're looking for a ashy, greyish blonde. Good luck!
+somegirljess yes!! If you have porous hair from bleaching too much/often STAY AWAY FROM THIS!!!!!!!! It turned my hair some purple,blue,grey.... Bahhhhhh and I had a wedding the next day 😵
I don’t know if you’re on UA-cam much anymore but I just have to say, I used to be a hairstylist, and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone back to this video now that I’m not a hairstylist and just trying to do my own hair without being able to go to professional beauty supply stores anymore, you’re the best and we’ve been through all the same blonde tones so it’s super helpful 😂
I meant to add that, & I'm sure many ppl know this but some ppl dont-u would pick a violet 1 if ur yellow. a blue one would be used if ur hair is more of an orangey blonde, in layman's terms & so on. check ur haircolor against a haircolor level chart b4 u go buy a toner & get a color wheel. whatever color is opposite ur color in general is the color u want as the base color in ur toner. as in orange & blue are opposite, so orangey blonde hair needs a blue based toner. if u picked a violet 1 4 orangey blonde hair, it would result in an unflattering color & a waste of $$. theyre labeled 4 a reason. hope this helps
You all probably dont give a damn but does any of you know of a method to log back into an instagram account? I somehow forgot the account password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me!
my god! So happy to find you here! Geeky, in detail and totally up my street! I want to stop bleaching my hair in salon as it costs a fortune. Happy subscriber here!
Thank you so much my dear you are more knowledgeable than actual hairstylist when I have taken classes hair color classes thank you so much God bless you
This video is really the best one out there when it comes to toning blonde hair thank you so much! I have natural medium ash blonde hair, and I really need to tone it again I have wella T18 and was little afraid to use it xD but I am sure it will be fine :)
you are a life savior...I get so confused with toners and what to use ..I normally go very blonde in the summer so I can do pastel color s on my my hair but ,then Winter comes and I fancy something warmer will try T11 and other toners you are mentioning ..Thank you for this video .
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this extremely valuable and educational video! I've never taken the time to understand what each toner does b/c I need to visualize the end result! Now I'll save your video in my Platinum DIY file.....xo
So other than the fact that I’ve seen your videos of you bleaching your roots and we have very similar natural colored hair, your skin is close to my skin color too, yours is so much nicer but still similar color- you’re so informative and make it so easy to understand the toners etc. also that it’s possible to bleach your hair at home and get the color you’re looking for for so much less!
Can I just say that you saved my hair . I did a bleach out and unfortunately I had a sever allergic reaction and had to take it out before the desired lightness was achieved . I dreaded having to possibly put bleach on my head so soon. I found your video and even though my roots are a tad darker then my ends its the same tone and looks good . This is is the most informative video I have ever seen. Thank you from the bottom of my heart . ❤️
Very informative video. I recently toned my bleached hair and found your videos very helpful in navigating all the products that could be used. I ended up using the Wella T18 toner. I was going to do the mix with the T11, but didn't want to go to overdo it, as it was my first solo act. Thank you for covering the other options in this video!
I'm so glad I researched before I toned. I got a pretty even lift to 10 and wanted a more of a true bleach blonde look. Purple shampoo is all I needed to tone! You stopped me from putting my Wella toner on my hair and turning it grey... thank you haha.
Ive watched SO many vids on this and yours IS THE BEST and MOST informative out there on doing blonde hair. Thank you so muxh for all the info. MOST APPRECIATED!! 🌞
This was so helpful! I recently went very dark on my roots, level 3-4, with balayage ends to a level 8, and I want to tone it at home to keep it very very cool toned. This really helped! Thanks!
Wella 050 cooling violet will make your hair Grey silver almost a deep blueish Grey silver... Adding it to any of the cool toners will neutralize absolutely any yellow or gold in blonde hair t18 with a few drop of 050 is a perfect ice Grey blonde
Ohhhh I see now THANK YOU SO MUCH 💜 my heart is telling me to change the volume to 40 surprisingly my hair is very well taken care of. I'll try that today and I'll let you know how that went. Again Thank you for your response 👍
Monique Ashlee just did my overgrown roots and its strawberry blonde after bleaching it twice with ion brilliance. i was pretty dissapointed my hair usually lifts after one try. will be needing to tone it now though. im like part strawberry blonde and part platinum 😂😂
Canadian Santa in Asia here, thank you so much for this video. Smart and educational. I'm actually a light brown haired person but I've bleached it in all safety but I wanted my hair to be white to play my part better. My hair is really light yellow after the light bleaching. I'm actually ordering Manic Panic virgin snow and hopefully it will take it down to that whitish look I want. I have no patching of dark colors, it's all nice uniform light color. Thanks for again for the advice. I'll be looking at more of your videos to make sure I don't make any mistakes. (y) Virgin Snow
Thank you for this video, and for all the other ones as well!!! I just went from a long time brunette to a way too orange blond, and now need to get rid of all that brassy color. I know it's a process (sigh) and your videos have been really, really helpful!!!
Just want to say thank you for covering all the other toners out there - T18 turns my hair hella gray LOL and I've been wondering what else to use. You have given me a lot of other ideas!! VERY APPRECIATED!! So glad I found your channel. Liked & subscribed! :o)
It can do that no matter how light your hair is, if its very porous or damaged. Which a lot of bleached hair is🙂its happened to me too. I ended up using one of the beige- er toners.
@@A143NA Yes i was when I was trying the T18 toner... I moved on to the more blush toned toners nowadays though - they work the best for my hair and skin combo. :)
If you have a lot of orange/level in your hair I highly recommend adding the wella 050 cooling violet to t18 if you’re going for a very cool silvery blonde
Hi. Your hair is looking really healthy and gorgeous now, so thanks for the tips on looking after and repairing damaged hair! Now, I have silver/white hair and I've always used the T18 toner. In one of your demos, you used T10 toner and I loved loved loved the results! You and I have similar colour regrowth, so I'm wondering what you thought of the T10. It looked so pretty, and I just don't want to be so white anymore, but I don't want the warmth from the other toners. Thoughts? Love your vids by the way ❤
I don't know your current shade of blonde right now (just happened upon this video) but your color right now is perfect. It's a tad gold but not too much which makes your very light skin tone look really nice. Yes, the 9GI is far too gold and platinum would wash out your pale skin tone. Stop, you've achieved the perfect shade! :)
Could you do a video on how to go from a white base to a blonde color. I can't find any information, since everyone is just trying to achieve that color... I bleached my hair twice and used t18 and now it's a silvery color. It's not terrible. I'd just like a light pretty blonde color like yours.
I bought wells T14 and was super confused and afraid it was not gonna give me the icy silver color I was trying to get. This really helped me thank you so much!
Great video as far as showing the different tones, however there are a lot of things to take into account when toning with actual dyes, whether they be semi, demi or permanent. For example, many people go blonde to then use fashion colors. So for a person like that, using a dye to tone, can really prevent fashion colors from working as they should, grabbing onto the hair, and can making the colors look dull when they should be vibrant. Just considering the purpose of each product and what it's formulated to do, it's always best to stick to toners, as that's what they are obviously meant to do. Also, it's better to dye with a toner than to tone with a dye. As with the Redken Shades EQ, they can be used to tone lightly on wet hair, or applied full on to dry hair, to get the true tone of that color.
Very helpful video I've been doing some research on toners . I have really dark brown hair so I'm sure my hair will be orange once it's bleached ...I'm trying to get my roots a really light because I want it a dark silvery purple color and the rest will be different shades of purple ....I really like how your hair is now the most really pretty
This was very informative and i really enjoyed watching. i was looking for info on different toners and there doesn't seem to be a ton out there thanks for the very detailed information.
I wish I've seen this video before i went ahead with the T18 after I bleach-washed my hair.. The T18 truly didn't do much with the orange-y tones on my hair. Definitely going to try out T14+T28. Thanks so much!!
Thank you so much! I just recently went platinum on a lightest brown/blonde tone (about a 5). My tips turned white and the rootage was a golden/pastel orange tone, but thank you so much! I needed to even it out before I have to go back to school
I had a pastel pink stripes in my hair with a brassy yellow and I used the wella t18 with the wella 20 vol. just measure with the bottle of wella toner once it’s poured and their you go. I left mine on for 15 minutes and it’s a beautiful grey white. If you want a darker grey use wella 050
This video is SO fantastic!!! It has everything I looked for and I have never seen such a good informative video on this. Thank yoouuuu!! You got a new subscriber! :D
Thank you for this video. I rewatched it to see what your thoughts were on Wella T11. There are not enough videos out there about T11. When you said it was one of your favorites I decided to go for it instead of T18. I am loving the results. It took the yellow buttery tones out of my hair that I hated and now have a nice wheat blonde tone.
Sounds so pretty! I've been using T18 but not happy with how "dark" (silvery blue) its making me, after working so hard to get it this light. I'm going to tone again soon w T11 & prlly a few drops of T18. Also not going to leave the toner on for very long, i think that was part of the problem. Also I need to start on the darker areas first..
FINALLY! An in depth review of the actual result of the toners without all of the scientific chemistry talk during the interim that leaves us confused. Thank you so much for your input! Award worthy!!!!
Just thumbs upped this video😊 This was awesome that you shared all the pictures with the separate toners on your hair. Best toner video I’ve seen so far on UA-cam! I’m a fan of the Wella toners and still learning which ones do what so thanks so much! If you can, will you please tell me what shade of lipstick you are wearing? It is gorgeous on you and I want it too!!! Love all your videos😍
I want to the thank you so much for your advice regarding the toners you have used in the past. I recently did highlights and wanted to tone them since the were brighter than what I wanted I ended up using T28 from wella and Im so happy with the results. You was very helpful.
Awesome vid. At first I thought it was going to feel long (@ 16 mins.) but it turned out super interesting and informative. Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences. That's super nice of you. ✨❤️️✨
To get the shade you have in this video- do you think I need to mix 9T with the 9NB? You say that the silvery/cool shade probably washed out, but I like the color it is now and usually I don’t enjoy a cooler blonde on myself. Do you think I could get that color with just the REDKEN shades EQ 9NB toner? Thanks!
I'm gonna look into fanci-full later on in life. sometimes i want dark hair again but I'm not looking to have to bleach that all out when I'm tired of it.
Yes, you can get punky in the US. I'm bleaching my hair at the moment, trying to get it lighter. I've done it once, and will do it again this weekend, but it's definitely showing intense orange right now. I'm trying to find a way to make it more platinum. When that's all said and done, I'm going to do it purple and blue. I need to fix the color first or the orange will cause the purple or blue to change color.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!! You and ElleBangs are absolute life-saving channels!! So, I have two bottles of toner left and I don't think I should bleach my hair or high-lift it again for at least two weeks. What do you think about mixing T18 with T28 for a bleach blonde with a level 8ish base and lots and lots of level 9ish highlights and balayage effect?
Im light blonde on my top 2/3rds like level 8-9 and light brown under like level 6-5 ish and i use T18 all over and it is awesome for making everything ashy...turns my underlayers into that mushroomy brown while getting rid of all the yellow-brassy out of my natural sunkissed blonde-bits
Such a good video! I love the colour your hair is right now. Have you tried the well honey beige blonde? 10NG I just bought it but I’m nervous to try it...
The issue with me is my hair is yellow (level 9 id say). I know purple cancels out yellow but I DON’T want any ASH in my hair. I’d like a buttery blonde / maybe beige? If any professional can help me that would be great.
Wow out of all videos your has been the most helpful, thank you so much for giving the details of each of the products,my hair has a lot of orange tone .so thanks please keep Sharing your experiences with us
Wella color touch is demi and I found it very effective. Not a fan of purple shampoo it neutralises but not brightening. May be good for in between services at home.
why do I always watch these after I messed up my hair....
Lily Healea I’m watching this with orange roots right now. So same
Same lmao
Same ughhhh
Guuuurl same
Gurrrll! 😭😭😭
This is probably *literally* the best/most informative video on toning hair! Thank youuuu :)
3 years later and this is still the most informative video💇♀️👱♀️thank you so much🇦🇺🤗
I really enjoyed your video. I've been a cosmetologist for 29 years and of all the at home videos I've watched I yours sits the best with me. Your presentation is humble, I enjoyed it very much. One the those color companies should use you to sell their product. Keep up the good work.
Wella would be fool's not to sponsor this girl!!
Who is watching this during quarantine?!!
Ah still... I hate that this comment is so old and I still relate
I’ve been experimenting with toners and this has been super helpful! When I bleach my hair it lightens to a 9/10. I’m having the same issues with the purple being left behind toners! Is the icy white toner purple pigmented?
I love your hair color in this video it's the exact color I used to be until I thought that I could pull off brown hair. I agree with you about having some golden/warmer tones as it really goes beautifully with your skin tone and eye color. It's a very rich natural blonde. Great job on the video!
This toner video is SO fantastic. So much great information, if you follow her tips it's a lot harder to fuck up your home bleach. Pro tip: the Blonde Brilliance Misty Rose toner is great for eliminating green tones from your blonde hair without staining it super pink.
Hats off to you for the level of dedication! I'm not even looking to change toner, I'm just here to admire this commitment to blonde life! Wow!
holy shit, your hair looks so healthy!

OMG THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH for making this video!!!!!! THANK YOU SERIOUSLY!!!!
have you ever tried wella 050? I thought it would do better on dark blonde hair cus it has more blue-ish sliver tone
Bahhhhhh and I had a wedding the next day 😵
I tried the 050 on my 6/7 level hair and it turned to a dark grey color! but the grey washes out in a few times and it leaves a beautiful ashy color!
This color is by far the best hair tone on you. its so warm with a bit of cool tone. it just looks amazing on you. so natural.
Evelyn Belmarez
Agree ...
Great Color!
I don’t know if you’re on UA-cam much anymore but I just have to say, I used to be a hairstylist, and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone back to this video now that I’m not a hairstylist and just trying to do my own hair without being able to go to professional beauty supply stores anymore, you’re the best and we’ve been through all the same blonde tones so it’s super helpful 😂

this was soooo informative! Ive only tried t14 and t18 and i completely agree with what you said
You all probably dont give a damn but does any of you know of a method to log back into an instagram account?
I somehow forgot the account password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Darian Genesis Instablaster ;)
The best video on toner hands down, no bullshit. Just good advice. Don't know how many videos I have seen before finding this gem. Great vid

I actually love golden tones in your hair it reminds me of Blake lively
So other than the fact that I’ve seen your videos of you bleaching your roots and we have very similar natural colored hair, your skin is close to my skin color too, yours is so much nicer but still similar color- you’re so informative and make it so easy to understand the toners etc. also that it’s possible to bleach your hair at home and get the color you’re looking for for so much less!

Thanks!
girllll ur cheeks are like sunset!! Love the matt look on ur face. I hate highlighted cheeks look and the overly pink blushes these days.
Wella 050 cooling violet will make your hair Grey silver almost a deep blueish Grey silver... Adding it to any of the cool toners will neutralize absolutely any yellow or gold in blonde hair t18 with a few drop of 050 is a perfect ice Grey blonde

By far the best and most informative video on toners. Thank you so much!
Because of this video, I was able to pick the right color to get my satin blonde hair 💗 thank you so much for this!

Thank you for this video, and for all the other ones as well!!! I just went from a long time brunette to a way too orange blond, and now need to get rid of all that brassy color. I know it's a process (sigh) and your videos have been really, really helpful!!!
I have been following you forever, oh my god. my hero! Beautiful and love hearing your results as well as reviews.
Thank you, this is the first video that has actually helped me understand the different toners!
Just want to say thank you for covering all the other toners out there - T18 turns my hair hella gray LOL and I've been wondering what else to use. You have given me a lot of other ideas!! VERY APPRECIATED!! So glad I found your channel. Liked & subscribed! :o)
Are you a level 9/10 and it’s turning your hair gray?

This was very informative and i really enjoyed watching. i was looking for info on different toners and there doesn't seem to be a ton out there thanks for the very detailed information.
Love this video so much! You really helped explain all of these in a way that I can understand! Awesome! 🤩💁
I’m a actual hair dresser and I thought this video was super helpful, you were very educated on toners .
Very informative video!! Thanks for posting this! Found out exactly what I needed!
Love this video. All the info I’ve been looking for in one video. Thank you!
T28 it is lol ended up watching the whole video. Very helpful. Thanx so much! Just waiting for Sallys to open 🤞🏼
This is a great informative video!! I always tone my hair with redken’s shades eq I love it just wish it lasted longer
This video is SO fantastic!!! It has everything I looked for and I have never seen such a good informative video on this. Thank yoouuuu!! You got a new subscriber! :D
i love the concept/description of your channel!!
Thank you!! :) :)
Joanna J I believe it was NYX soft matte lip cream in the shade London :)
I want to the thank you so much for your advice regarding the toners you have used in the past. I recently did highlights and wanted to tone them since the were brighter than what I wanted I ended up using T28 from wella and Im so happy with the results. You was very helpful.
Your hair color right now is so pretty!
I'm in love with your skin!
I love your hair shape now. Looking very beautiful and healthier than before.❤️❤️👍
Nicely explained. Good information & most helpful. Nice of you to share your experiences. Your hair is pretty too :)
What is your natural base color?
I find Shades EQ from Redken to add the most shine and has longevity. Your current blonde tone is great.
This is EXTREMELY helpful, thank you so much 🙏
Im light blonde on my top 2/3rds like level 8-9 and light brown under like level 6-5 ish and i use T18 all over and it is awesome for making everything ashy...turns my underlayers into that mushroomy brown while getting rid of all the yellow-brassy out of my natural sunkissed blonde-bits
10n satin blonde toner is very nice too! I put in on my hair to tone down the redness after i used a box dye, it gave me strawberry blonde
Such a good video! I love the colour your hair is right now. Have you tried the well honey beige blonde? 10NG I just bought it but I’m nervous to try it...
Super beige blond, super like super. Super, super platinum white, super orange; super punky. Blonde, super, super, super light hair..
🙈🙈🙈🙈
savage 😂
The issue with me is my hair is yellow (level 9 id say). I know purple cancels out yellow but I DON’T want any ASH in my hair. I’d like a buttery blonde / maybe beige? If any professional can help me that would be great.
Wow out of all videos your has been the most helpful, thank you so much for giving the details of each of the products,my hair has a lot of orange tone .so thanks please keep Sharing your experiences with us
Wella color touch is demi and I found it very effective. Not a fan of purple shampoo it neutralises but not brightening. May be good for in between services at home.
