  • Glock has pioneered and defined the standard when it comes to concealed carry of a firearm. This is why Glock remains the King of Concealed Carry.
    When talking about effective and efficient concealed carry, the end game of concealed carry comes down to a very short moment of time. Possibly just seconds, and that short moment in time might be the most critical instant of your life.
    I personally rotate my concealed carry between a Glock 43X, Glock 26 and Glock 19.
    Carrying the right concealed carry gun will make all the difference in the world when it comes to getting that gun into a shooting position, achieving combat accurate hits and using your gun effectively and efficiently when dealing with a lethal threat.
    I’m gonna trust my life to carrying a Glock.
    Let’s take a look at why Glock is King for concealed carry. Enjoy the video.
    God bless you and yours.

    Glock just got it right from the start. They weren’t concerned about fancy lever systems, fancy shapes, or what anyone thought about their design method. With just 34 parts Glock set a industry standard of reliability across their entire line from full size duty pistols to compact and subcompact models.

    My reason for going with Glock for my defensive pistols is that they are so consistent in design.
    My defensive pistols are basically three different sizes of the same gun; I have a G42 for pocket carry, a G26 for general concealed carry, and a G17 as a nightstand/winter carry gun. I also have a G44 for inexpensive practice.
    All of these pistols have the same controls, same trigger, same sight picture, same grip angle etc.
    This means that no matter which gun I happen to be using, my brain automatically knows what to do with it, which keeps things simple. Simple is good for a defensive gun.
    If you're in a life or death situation, and the adrenalin is pumping and you're in fight or flight mode, you are going to fall back on your training.
    You don't want to have to remember whether the gun you're carrying today happens to have a manual safety, or adapt to one of a number of different sight pictures.
    You want your control of the gun to be as automatic as possible, freeing up precious mental resources for actually dealing with the situation.
    This is why I have never understood the idea of a 'carry rotation'. It just seems unserious.
    In an ideal world, we would only have one carry gun, and be really good with it.
    That's not possible for most people due to seasonal clothing changes, but we should try to get as close to it as is practical.

      Nothing wrong with having a carry rotation. The problem is when you’re not proficient with what you carry.

    • @thepenultimateninja5797
      @thepenultimateninja5797 11 місяців тому +4

      @@ResplendentRaider Well, my assortment of Glocks could be considered a "rotation" I guess.
      However, it's one thing having several almost identical guns in different sizes, and quite another thing to have several different guns that operate differently.
      It's just a fact that you are not going to point all those guns the same, and it's going to take you a millisecond longer to acquire a sight picture if you use a number of different types of sight. It doesn't matter how well you train, you still have to adjust from one gun to another.
      I have read a lot of accounts by people who have had to use their carry gun, and you'd be surprised at the number of experienced shooters who made seemingly absurd mistakes, like forgetting to disengage the safety.
      There is one guy with a youtube channel who tried to shoot his assailant, and nothing happened. Turned out he had his finger hooked around the front of the trigger guard, not the trigger.
      It's easy to think something like that could never happen to you, but your brain does weird stuff in stressful situations.
      When you're in a real life or death situation, there's a good chance you are not going to remember whether you decided to carry your Glock or your SIG that morning.

Glock does its intended job better than any other manufacturer of firearms. This is coming from someone who has owned a range for decades and has seen it all. They could get Mec-Gar to make the mags as the Glock polymer mags can't quite get that small. If they ever do, I'll be all over it and would probably buy two of them. I'm more comfortable with Glocks and 1911's than any firearm. I bought my Sig P365 in March of this year when they had their problems worked out. It's a sweet little pistol and runs great. I've had great luck with the Sigs that I own. Hopefully Glock will do this, but I'm not holding my breath. They're losing a lot of market share because of this.

    Trying to choose between the G19 and 26. Leaning 19. The size difference doesn't amount to enough. Drop an inch off height, which is the only win for the 26. Otherwise you get a longer barrel, a rail, 5 more in the mag, less recoil. The rail could be useful for home defense, the barrel and 5 are CC advantages. Not interested in the single mag models because double Glocks mags are used on some carbines that I have my eye on and the 43X is only 0.16" thinner. That matters if you truly EDC, but is borderline on if it makes sense to give up the 19/26 advantages.

    Great video! And you said it. I still love that all my Glocks shoot the same, work the same, and feel the same (I mean with obvious size and caliber differences aside). Glocks have a unique array of basically whatever size, weight, and capacity configuration to find one that works for you. And with the new modularity of slides being swappable (ie, 47 and 19, for example)(and as I understand it we are going to see more of that), I mean...no others can do that. And of course, the ability to get parts and maintain them yourself? Best prepper guns ever. And the garbage about "no innovation" we keep getting ? Whatever, I'll take it. They don't innovate at the expense of reliability. Other pistols might look better or have more bells and whistles...but none of them are pretty like a nice 1911. So who cares (I also like the look of Glock, I was just saying other people may not like them). A lot of my guns have gone to the wayside and been replaced by Glock over the years for a reason. I trust them, and they work. I also like to remind people that the cartridge is still way self-contained unit that is going to shoot the same way out of pretty much any pistol, so it's not like other pistols have some magical qualities or anything. I shoot most my Glocks stock. Gun culture in America is rich. The reason people upgrade firearms, not just Glock, in many cases is for looks. The same reason they go out and buy a new gun when they have a perfectly good one at home. In fact, you will find many gun owners with “upgrades” guns who don’t even know how to shoot! Do you know anyone with a sports car who doesn’t take it to the track or a 4x4 who doesn’t go off roading? Same phenomena. A rich, bored society that turns necessity into hobby.

The Glock stock trigger is the best combat/self defense and reliable trigger ever. It also has the strongest most tactile reset of all the polymer strikers. Hi. GLOCK Certified Armorer here. When you’re reinserting the locking block pin, do so slowly and listen closely for a faint *click* sound. This click is the pin seating in the frame correctly. In my Armorer class, the instructor brought up this very issue and said the vast majority of locking block pins walking out have been the result of someone reinserting them, thinking both sides are flush with the frame, but isn’t in fact seated in the frame. Listen for the positive click of the pin when reinserting.

      @AnthonyBattagliaPTE  Рік тому +1

      I've never owned a 19c, but I have owned a 22c. This is just my opinion - 9mm doesn't need porting or reduced felt recoil to be manageable. It's pretty manageable already. The muzzle flash is drastically increased, at least on .40 cal it was for me - so i'm thinking at night in a self defense situation it would be blinding for you, but for your attacker too, lol - so it might be ok. If you shoot it at the range at night and it doesn't affect your vision and you can remain visually aware, hit follow up shots and still function normally, then I would say carry it. Glock is a great platform. But their reliability is greatly exaggerated. Yes they have a long track record. Just like other platforms when new gen glocks came out they had many issues. The 43 43x the g26 gen 5 the g19 all had big issues they fixed them and people conveniently forget that. I love my g26 it’s awesome but I carry my p365x more often. There have been 100000 round tests on p365 and only thing needed to be replaced was recoil spring.

    • @bowl816
      @bowl816 8 місяців тому

      That’s where you are wrong. The gen 4’s had minor issues, the slim line 43x had minor issues, Glock reacted quickly and fixed them. Ironically you carry a Sig. More power to you, I could never trust them. The 365 was a pistol I really wanted, I did own the 320 or the M18 3 times.
      I could never trust them, there are still reports about the 320 firing, now some even when holstered. The 365 had dead triggers and broken strikers, yet Sig tried to ignore both issues until they got too big.
      Then a “voluntary upgrade” to the 320, with nothing official to the 365. Between these examples and $50 mags, along with over priced pistols to start with I would only look at the older Sigs.
      I will stick with my Beretta’s and Glocks, the 2 most reliable firearms around.
